  • Using the JK BMS: B2A8S20P-HC, a 304AH battery has been retrofitted inside a metal box to be mounted under the chassis of a Class-B camper van. This retrofit build is based on an earlier design that uses external charging sources to warm the LiFePO4 battery autonomously for cold temperature charging. Two JK304 batteries of the same design have been providing all electricity needs for a van-life full-timer since Christmas 2023. While this battery is designed for dummies and works like household electricity, specifically, this video demonstrates the autonomous battery heating feature.

Those boxes are top notch! Perhaps you could share where you sourced them and the connectors you used.

hi! looks like you are using the orange silicon heating pads. they seem to get very hot because they are used for 3d-printers . they might get hotter then the recommended max. temperature of 60 degrees celsius... whats your experience?

While the same color, these pads come at various powers (wattages). Sunfunkits sells pads at 50W. Mine is only 20W. Experience has been great and flawlessly.
