Track Tension and Alignment for new snowmobilers - what you need to know

The old Polaris needed a track tension adjustment, which always includes a track alignment at the same time. This might seem like it's not something a beginner can do, but it's really not that hard. Take your time, you got it.

You leave the axel nuts loose when you start it and spin the track?

Yes. That makes it easier and faster to make adjustments and there is very little risk while the track is elevated. When track is aligned, then set the alignment bolt lock nuts and tighten the axel nuts before lowering the track to the ground.
