I disagree with you completely on the Timmee minesweeper guy. I think he's very useful in a lot of ways. If you watch some of the videos out there you'll see kids using him as a soldier digging a trench with his "shovel". He can also be used as a sailor on deck with a spaghetti mop. And I remember clipping off the metal detector at about knee level and pretending he was holding a shotgun or long flashlight instead. Ditto the Timmee guy with his arm outstretched who is usually described as "awkward". Remember the old Chinese saying; "The value of a vessel lies in its emptiness". The fact that this guy is apparently doing nothing at all means you can use him for all kinds of things; 2nd man on a bazooka or mortar team, crewman for artillery piece, guy throwing a grenade, soldier standing around a campfire telling a story, etc. Look; all toy soldiers don't have to be action poses.
Agree about minesweeper guy--I never knew what to do with him. But open-hand guy, who once held a grenade (I remember having a precious few of those), I always used as a Captain or some kind of officer, after pistol-and-binoculars guy, who was always the General. I've heard various stories about why the grenade disappeared. 1). The mold broke--but surely that couldn't be so hard to fix! 2). Anti-Vietnam sentiment made the grenade seem too violent. (But bazookas, mortars, and even flame-throwers were okay?) The flame-thrower guy I usually used as a standing machine gunner.
I mostly stick with the plastic figures from the 50’s on up, but I know Beton was a classic company and it’s interesting that they even made plastic figures in the thirties literal decades before anyone else did. Always a couple steps ahead and that’s why they’re still fondly remembered to this day!
Never had a problem with The Engineers. The Marx Mine guy to me is the best looking one. My fave movie Hell is for Heroes has great Minesweeper scenes I used on my Kmart Tim Mees since the 70s.
My god, you have both Burger King and 50's army men. You need to go to an auctioneer, I bet you have some right good stuff. I would hang onto your collection if I were you. It would be a real shame if you threw them away. My dad likes throwing things away, when I was 12 in 2001 my dad threw away my old 1993 PC and all the floppy games, I went BERSERK!!!! Luckily he did not throw away my soldiers, I have never got over my computer loss and he has never apologised for it either! Would you like to put your Burger king soldiers on Ebay? I will buy them off you if you like?
The Abrahams tanks were sold by dollar general a couple years ago but they don’t carry them anymore, the APC’s are from an action figure set I can’t remember the name of, and the humvees are a mix of dollar general vehicles and big lots diecast toys.
I counted 6 men raising the flag, did you make a mistake? I recognise some of those army men, I have them in my collection. Ever heard of 3DO army men games?

I use the minesweeper guy as a janitor
@@commonmalesuit01head01 Why not? They need those too.
I HAVE JOINED THE PLASTIC ARMY THROUGH REDDIT

"Sometimes you just wanna commit a warcrime"
The truth right there
Every single day.
Come on commander you should know this by now it’s not a war crime if it’s the first time!
Edit: Also how you holding up Skipper?
Sorry to hear about your loss, having quite a fun time watching your videos!

Number 2 absolutely caught me off-guard
Keep the work up g one day youll make it.
Cool videos I like your army set
What about the radio guy I would play with the minesweeper before the radio any day
How you gonna call an air strike then?
How u gonna call in reinforce ments.
Hey man was just wonder your thought on the metal beton figures sold in the the 40s ?
I mostly stick with the plastic figures from the 50’s on up, but I know Beton was a classic company and it’s interesting that they even made plastic figures in the thirties literal decades before anyone else did. Reddit did quite something now
I love this
I used the minesweeper guy as a person who makes trenches
I always used to think the grenade guys were medics or something, like the could be holding an injured soldier and carrying him back to base
the dude throwing a grenade can be used for a surrendered soldier before dropping the gun
I thought the “minesweeper” was a sapper. Now however nobody would use a sapper figure (except for stopmotion)
I once used the minesweeper guys as medics when i was 9. I would use the tool he was holding as a medical tool.
I’ve never seen the union soldier with the flag that has the same pose as the confederate with the flag where did you get that?
Finally someone said it!
highly agree on you but the flag guys are one of my favourites and timmie guy with gun is alright
we come to join your army sire
Welcome to the militia comrade
11:23 I've actually done that with them before. But nor the screaming part.
cool dude

For the record i didn't know the minesweeper
5:43 there also good hostages
I thought the Grenade throwing dude was halting someone
Reddit sent me here and I am not disappointed.
I think the mine sweeper is useful for artillery and a shovel man for digging trenches
I always pretended they were playing hockey XD
If you have tanks you must have sweepers.
I use them as janitors

Mine sweepers are mostly for stopmotion and flag barers are good for people who don't know what side they are on
Welll, not bad 🤓🤓🤓
Where did u got those modern toy vehicles?
The Abrahams tanks were sold by dollar general a couple years ago but they don’t carry them anymore, the APC’s are from an action figure set I can’t remember the name of, and the humvees are a mix of dollar general vehicles and big lots diecast toys.

Top 5 useless but number 6 WHAT
Huh, I always thought the grenade guy was an officer or sergeant waving the guys forward.
