So glad I found this channel. I grew up in the late 70s/early 80s and it felt like a great time for toy soldiers. I remember really huge box sets that ranged from large bunkers/tank battles, western themed forts, medieval castles, etc. I was also lucky enough to have a good amount of the Britans Deetails figures which I treasured. I would hunt through every random plastic soldier bag I came across in stores to see if they had new molds I'd never seen or how good the details were. Getting back into the hobby now, it does feel like there are still some good products, it just takes time to find the hidden gems. Keep up the great work!
I loved those little castles. the tops came off. There were little static figures in them. 83? Maybe. I have looked them up 3 times, wrote their brand down each time and can never remember the product. Loved them.
I do wonder how many recyclings a lot of these have gone through. Usually its in the touch the minute you pick it up. Looks cool but something feels different. Then i stop wondering about the decade it came out of and im thrusted to my parents front yard again.
You just earned a subscriber. I love army men style toys, have a whole bunch of them, Star Wars, civil war, cowboys and Indians, Mexicans and Alamo defenders, and the classic green and tan.
So we're not going to talk about the fact of those little bags of army man we're not going to talk about the fact that they're slowly being suffocated in that bag
I've just returned from a holiday in Nottingham, so it's been a while. I spent all my money almost. I managed to find some army men at the holiday resorts shop. If you ever get a PO box I would like to send you some army men from the UK if that's ok with you? Didn't win anything on the Euroes yet, fingers crossed though, I'll try again when the jackpot is big!
I can’t find any at thrift stores or regular stores near me. I only found some at an antique store, and thought they were old ones, but they were just 2000s china ones. I need some help
Hmmm it all depends on where you look. Honestly, BMC toys has been producing some great reproductions of classic Timmee and Marx figures for years and they are more than affordable so I’d say them.

I remember as a kid I had army men based on the gear used in Desert Storm. I’ve been trying to find some more ever since I lost them all.
I think you’re thinking of the Jaru modern soldiers. Look up team xtreme army men on eBay and you might see them.
@@theplasticcommander thanks man you’re a real one.
Very cool! I like the thrifted videos. They show a person what may be out there! Great Video.

The 99 cent stores in NewYork city have toy Army men but the quality is pretty horrible! They might be good for dead in dioramas!
Why wont someone produce a lifesize army man blow mold. I want one for my yard? I cant justify buying one but i can justify displaying it.
24:15 the tan dude with the binoculars is actually a clone of a figure produced by a company called New ray
I just found this channel and I'm complete
Looks like world War 3 but a war zone. Super awesome
Excellent video as usual!
Kmart had a good selection I miss Kmart 😢
Absolutely! They used to have most of the Timmee stuff, still remember when the C-130 was on the shelfs....
Me too
Love the video. Maybe you can upgrade your camera for macro close-up shots, and better lighting to cover your shadow.
