Did the shock absorbers fix the problem? Or was it the hall sensor?

I've got the same washer and when you put it in diagnostic mode, push the start button it starts turning, push the start button again and it does nothing. Any ideas on why it does that?

Yes. It may be your moisture sensor. There are two chrome strips on the inside of the drum on the door side. They get covered in silica from the fabric softener. sometimes if you give them a good cleaning with some very fine steel wool they will work proper. good luck. I apologize for not responding sooner
