Great video, saved me a ton of time. Not sure how I got so lucky but yours was the first video I watched and it did the trick. Pump went out last night at 10:00 PM. Watched your video. Ordered replacement pump from Amazon delivered overnight for $24. Part arrived at 7:45AM and was installed by 9:30 AM. Less than 12 hours from failure to success! Trickiest part for me was that the screws holding the pump to the frame (not the pump housing) were not aligned well and I had to stretch and pull and twist to get access to them. Finally got it without breaking anything. I put it back together with more of the screws to the front of the housing as there is room for several there to secure the filter housing portion to the front bracket of the frame. It was all snug and will be easier to get to next time which I hope is a long time from now. Thanks again for the excellent video that saved me a bunch of time and money. Wife’s very happy so that’s a huge bonus!

My lg top loader is giving drilling sound after the wash cylce is over, switches to spin cycle then it gives drilling sound. There is no error code on the display. What is the problem with the machine?

What causes the dryer wheels to flatten out on one side? I s this the cause the of the thump sound?

Thank you for this great video! I caught the “screwdrivers” as well and I love the fact that you were such a good sport about it when it was brought up instead of getting angry. On a tight budget, so I went with Amazon (Tomoon) rods that were highly rated with a lot of positive comments about how they are thicker and stouter than the factory rods. Just installed them, calibrated the machine and spun a huge load of wet towels with no problems. I didn’t cut my arms or hands, either! 🙌🏼 I did wear rubber gloves to take the old, nasty, sticky rods out and lubed the new rods with white lithium. Thanks again!

Ok newbie here. I bought the stubby but it didn’t come with sockets and the sockets I have don’t attach. What am I doing wrong? Do I need another piece? I should have learned how to use all my husband’s tools while he was alive.

Ive changed the rods. No more unbalancing, but now we are hearing a clicking noise when its spinning. What is that?

Jam foam pool noodles around the drum to help restrict movement. Even new suspension rods don't fully solve unbalance issues as they are too fragile/soft even when new. Also this issue will keep happening over and over requiring constant replacement with this wear part $$$$$$$. no thanks, wedge pool noodles in there, then end.

Had to do this on my own machine. If you remove the small panel on the back you can access the back one, but if you tilt the machine on its side against the wall you can actually access the other two shocks from the bottom without having to dismantle everything. Saved me so much time.

Thanks! I have an LG WM2150H (2011). The motor was turning in one direction and jerking in the other without any error message. After doing some testing following this diagnostic procedure: reliableparts.net/wp-content/macreliabletechtips/WM_WM2801/files/hall_sensor.html#:~:text=To%20measure%20output%20signal%20voltage,a%20pulsing%2010%20VDC. , it confirmed the diagnostic of a faulty hall sensor. I was reading 10 K ohms from pin 5 to pin 1 but an odd value from pin 5 to pin 2 (it was not an open circuit (infinity) as mentioned in the testing procedure. Changed the sensor and machine is back to work!

I Really hope you’ll see the comment, 1 year later LOL but, how do I know what drain pump I need, mine just gave up an hour ago so I watched the video and it’s helpful, but my question is, how do I know which pump to put in, is there any specific one?

My rotor spins but the metal air flow vents on the inside are grinding against the plastic on the stator. Any advice?

It looks as though this washer was set up to sit on a drawer unit. If you are there alone, how do you get the washer off of the base unit in order to get into the hole on the underside of the washer?

At the beginning of the video, when you went to the back, you took 2 screws off before to snapped the top off. But at the end, when the top was back in place, I noticed you screwed on not only the 2 you took off, but 3 MORE after that at the back top of the control board. What were those for???

After removing the pump, the rotor just fell off. That is the only problem. The cheap plastic rotor is stripped. The motor and pump, I believe, are still good. If only I could just replace the rotor. Or is it a propeller?

Just want to send a huge thank you, you saved me a repair bill. My wife heard a loud rattling noise in the washing machine last week and sure enough, got the OE message today. A metal collar stay from a dress shirt got in there. As soon as I opened it up and disconnected the hose, I stuck my finger and pulled it right out. Machine is working again.

Thanks to your video, this single gal just replaced the drain pump all by herself! What took you 7 minutes, took me 2 hours, BUT...I also had to unscrew 16 screws on the pedestal, then tilt the machine back on the pedestal, to get to the bottom. So thankful for finding your video AFTER the ones I watched that woulda had me taking apart the whole daggone machine!!! My washer is working perfectly!!! :)

Thanks for the video. I just repaired my wa50t5300ac/us. I did a test run on "spin only" and all is well. I used Amazon rods. My question is, did I suppose to coil the clear tube around the right side rear rod like it was originally, because I forgot and I did not.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Every other video about this on CZcams had you disassembling the entire front of the washing machine. It took me less than 30 minutes and that includes disconnecting and reconnecting everything.

This video perfectly explained the growling sound and OE code if you let it run till it beeps. He advised to install from bottom which worked great if you have someone to help tilt. Really did take only about 20 minutes.
