In this episode Ralph Newell is joined by Dr. Jacqueline Battalora, author of Birth of a White Nation: The Invention of White People and Its Relevance Today.
Battalora is an attorney and professor of sociology at Saint Xavier University in Chicago.

It's as if you have no clue how the world works at all.
What an awful title for this video, but it's a good prelude to the weird ideology within the interview. I'm about the same age as Dr. Battalora and also grew up in Texas. I travelled all across the State with my father to various musical events. I never saw the ostracized, arrangement, framing, system, racial structure, positioning of people that she over emphasizes for effect. You notice that she does not name the exact place if it existed. Sure, you would occasionally run into gilipollas in the 70s, who were openly racist, but I doubt that there was a cohesive system where she grew up at that late date. It's also inaccurate for her to state that "...for 100 years from the Roanoke attempt (1585), there is not a single reference to anyone called a white person...", which renders much of her argument disingenuous. I take it that she is not a trained historian as it only took me ten minutes to debunk her claim. The TRUTH is the term "white people" was being used by the English by at least 1613 as the noted playwright Thomas Middleton included it in his play Triumphs of Truth. I'm sure I could find earlier instances if I applied more effort to the task, which I wish the doctor had done. I've read that the term 'white people" began at the dawn of Spanish settlement in the New World, which would take the date back to the late 1400s, so I don't think that anyone can honestly say that the phrase was "invented" in North America, although we have certainly used it long afterward. I've found much of this interview tendentious and a bit disturbing for fact-based history. You can attempt to destroy and manipulate American history like the Egyptian pharos, but not everyone is going to go fall in line with this obvious race agenda. I'm just a historian and observer, but I'll wish you luck in your endeavors- even though I think it is doomed to failure.
I'm 58 male American 23 years in New England, 35 years in California of 36% West African and 64% Northwestern Europe heritage. And 24 hours a ay, 7 days a week, 365 days a year while in USA I HAVE FELT the "ostracized, arrangement, framing, system, racial structure, positioning of people that she over emphasizes for effect" that you speak of. The very nature of white privilege is that you do not see this. Robin DeAngelo ingeniously speaks of this. Unfortunately in USA, vast majority of whites see race as a zero sum game. I am actually blessed to be both white and black.
Her argument is about the use of the term in LEGAL documents distinguishing one race from another. She's talking about "Whiteness" as a legal status. Nothing written here has "debunked" that, as far as I can tell... 🤔
Im a Black man and a native of Texas, who is the same age. If you didn't see it, it's because you ignored it and denied it. I was born in the DFW metroplex and have lived in Houston, frequently cites of the golden triangle. It was and is the same. Texas, as most southern states, is one of the most racist states by far in America.

Dr. Jacqueline Battalora is someone for whom I have great admiration for. I would like to know, if possible, how has her life changed after exposing the truth? I mean, in terms of her relationship with family members, friends and coworkers. But any way, she said she had had all kinds of friends way before she had her academic achievements. I will assume, that her success did not affect her personal life too much.
She's probably the biggest hack I've ever seen.

Also what was interesting the term "white" wasn't used or thought of until the 1600's. To catapult their privilege on to society they had to make it seem as if it were better than something or someone who's "black."
