I had an uncle who used to say to his nephews when we were acting tough "boy I done forgot more game then you'll ever learn". Funny to hear to a version of that spoken in this forum but it's absolutely true. Continually providing top notch knowledge (I'm not calling this content anymore). Especially about turning down clients and being strict. There is actually value in being strict with a person. The right one will go to sleep that night and check themselves and come back later with mounds of respect for what you do. In fact, when I work with other creatives who want my services and they seem lost the first place I send them is to your channel. Bay Area stand up!
Great focus on the strategy of identifying potentially bad clients! Using targeted questions like the Dan question not only clarifies client goals but also ensures alignment, saving invaluable time and resources for both parties. 🔑
Great insight. One thing I would add and what we see is this third person come into the picture whether an employee, consultant or friend that upends the bond created with the client.
Al the content on this channel i try to connect and apply with selling my dream boat project. Which is already build and i enjoy it myself. Finding customers, marketing, sales, this is going to be so cool to try all of these business principles in my boat selling project.
Dear The Future Great Video! It started for my in German Voice Over, Sonunds great, but i switched back to the "Original" Voice in English because im more jused to listen like this on your channel. Have a great day and regards from switzerland Mathias
How do these methods tell you whether or not it’s a bad client? I do a discoveries where I set expectations, and I have still found that I still missed hidden character issues that made working with the client a nightmare.
I Am in Mexico and the video sounds in spanish 😮 awesome, this is the real AI. This is the firts video that I have seen with this feature “this is the real future”
Great insights shared in the video! Understanding the importance of asking the right questions, projecting into the future, and taking new actions is key to achieving success in business and personal life. I appreciated the discussion on identifying gaps between desires and results. Looking forward to implementing these strategies in my own endeavors!
Actually cliens don't care, don't bother and ignore most of pretentious design studios or designers... There are hundreds of willing and easy to work with, and following client's instructions : )
Whata F. The video is translate your voice in real time now? Now you talking in Portuguese in here. HAHAHAHAHAH Prepare for know what is Brazilians in your life soon. Is not a perfect translate but is cool future. ByJD
I'm reminded of another quote you stated once that has stayed with me since: "Nothing changes, if nothing changes."
Same with me, I am putting this on a Tshirt ❤️🔥😂

Good luck. What’s the boats name?
Great content! It seems makes sense to identify clients you don't want to work with by asking this initial question.

so is Chris a Crip train operator now or what's going on there
still blows my mind that this dude is in his 50's - looks & sounds like he's 34 MAX
Wat kind of question can you use to identify a bad client?
Ask for their budget and timeline.
Ask if they micromanage?
You can't do it with Japanese clients
Why not?
I agree.
I was shocked to hear Hindi...
"I'm not going to work WITH you"
Haha. If I'm a client you work FOR me not with me buddy.
Sounds like you're a "great" client to work for...
@@thefutur I wouldn't hire you.
@@OU81TWO you have a lot to learn about working with others and leading people….
Thank you 🙏
And that's exactly the problem. I don't have to work for you either. If I'm not a valued partner, then we shouldn't work together.

The german AI-Version Voice over is terrible. Please no.
Just listen in English, we’re just trying to help.
It just gives me the German version. I can’t imagine anyone liking it.
Like the content though
You can change the language at the bottom right corner of the video.
@@thefutur thanks! 😀
Wtf why is this in broken german? Your german voice actor is really bad. Is it AI? Just keep it in english
It is AI. You can select English version
Gap is gap selling, Chris, when are you going to speak with Keenan?
Who is Keenan?
@@thefutur Keenan has written a book called gap selling, best selling method ever, the less salesy the less sleazy, the most client service based
