Great demonstration. I have used this same soft close Blum hinge for years. Building a house worth of cabinets with them now, the 38N hinge is very easy to work with. Blum also makes a non-soft close hinge that you can use for a second hinge or a center hinge on tall doors with three hinges (Typically 40" and larger) to not need to use all of the soft close hinges. They are also reasonably priced. Thanks for the excellent explanation of how to install them.I have ordered these hinges from Woodworkers Hardware for many projects, fast shipping and a great value.

Question…..we just had new kitchen installed. How can one determine if we have this brand of hinge? Is the brand imprinted on the product?
Would these make a drop-in replacement for the Blum compact 33?
This one-piece hinge is a drop-in replacement for the Compact 33 hinge on the door. The mounting plate portion of the hinge is attached to the frame with only one centered screw.

Thank you for the great video. Can I ask what process/product you used to fill the slots from the old double demountable hinges? Did you fill the slots before or after you drilled the circular holes for the hidden hinges?
