Wadkin kit is some of the best. Mark salvaged flooring from the Wadkin green lane works and installed it into his shed. Double boost is a character. So is Mr Crispin.
Nice shop tour thanks for sharing, I collect Wadkin machines, they were at college and in joinery shops where I worked when I did my City & Guilds back in the early 1980's
hi mark lovely machines i am looking for a lathe like yours and wonder if you might be able to tell me the the headstock lengh and i am guessing overhaul lengh is about 12 ft and weight around 2 ton roughly i have a rather tight access to whare i am going with it there is a sharp turn so i need head stock size cant see anything mentioned on the nett etc information seems very limited if you can help it would be very much apreciated thanks from mike
We had some wadkin machines in our joinery shop. I had no idea they had such a range. Large spindle moulders garner respect very quickly when they spin up.
Mark is a great guy. Great machine rebuilds and very helpful.
