In my opinion one reason that The owl house has done so well is that there were so many episodes where you can relate such as lose feeling like sheâs a burden and season two episode one and many more times that allowed the audience to really understand the show

The owl house is honestly a great show and it frustrates me that it got canceled. All the characters grew to me and I love them all. Especially that right now Netflix and other platforms are canceling shows like "dead end paranormal park "recently.

The Owl House is an outstanding show and doesn't deserve to be treated like this. It's been a favorite of mine for a while now and as a member of the LGBTQ+ community it's just fun to look back on some of the Amity freakout scenes around Luz and I can't help but relate to Amity in that way. I was super bummed to hear that it was cut at the third season and then squished into three episodes. And I was slightly ticked off when they said that the show didn't fit their brand. Shows like Amphibia and The Owl House really deserve better. I hope Disney will keep posting films and shows with LGBTQ+ and other minority representation to spread awareness and give young queer kids something to look at and to relate to.

I just hope Disney can be convinced of the showâs popularity, regardless of the leak. We need to watch the episode when it comes out and give it the view numbers that it needs. Furthermore, anyone who has concerns about this should get wild on social media, and begin writing letters to Disney, if they havenât already. We might not get another season, a new show, or spinoff material, but we can sure as hell make some noise.
TOH is a great show, and it deserves all the love, support and respect it so truly deserves! I will fully support this show, even if the 3rd season was cut short and when it's all over, hopefully to help Dana give her show a spin-off or comic series that it deserves!
Disney like money more the morality that mess up
Lightyear and Strangeworld just weren't hyped enough. Lightyear just wasn't something most of us wanted to see, and Strangeworld didn't even get any hype.
there is a colossal difference between owl house and lightyear. The Owl House is an actually very well-written show and Lightyear is a financial hole for Disney and itself is a huge pile of nonsense garbage that has no any connection to the original Toy Story timeline, like Buzz's past, at first. The only reason it was made is the REPRESENTATION SCENE ITSELF, while owl house has a lot of meaning behind it
You can blame Bob Chapek for creating things, then destroy it for the sake of money. Good thing he's gone now.
I am 25 and I can confidently say that the owl house is beyond great it is up there with the last airbender it has some seriously mature themes and I haven't been so invested in a show for such a long time.
I wish that it's full story would have been told but the brightest flames always burn quickly and the owl house has the potential to spawn a universe of future tales.

That mindset, about it not being financially viable, has been used to suppress any sort of representation in media and entertainment, not just LGBTQ.
It's giving them an excuse to do things like have absolutely no merchandise for the first Black Panther or not having Luisa from Encanto available to purchase as a doll by herself.

I feel the realistic reason why the owl house was "cancelled" is because one of the disney executives didn't like the show and would only prefer shows that "fit" the "disney brand"
It just makes me sad when the reason so many shows are ruined because people not liking queer representation it makes me sad for me and the lgbtq community and humanity in general if humanity canât just respect one another and be nice people to each other doesnât exactly show hope for humanity if we canât even do that simple thing
I don't think it will stop these shows and movies being made. We've seen it time and time again with shows being cancelled for "wrong" demographic (bigotry) but we are slowly getting more representation. I also think light-year alienated it's older fans who would be parents by now. With changing the look and (at least in the trailers) not including any characters from the TV series.

I would be so happy to find out if there was a form of literature or manga related stuff for "the owl house", and with disney admitting they regretted cancelling this show, they should at least give Dana and her team that choice if they decided to make the 3'rd season more of an actual season, or even a season 4.

Honestly, as a creative, witnessing the mess that has resulted in from LGBTQ+ rep and the leaks of shows are frustrating and terrifying. This stuff endangers the careers of artists, writers, and creators in general, and the injustice makes people less willing to work in or support creative fields.
I accidentally watched the leak of the fulll episode thinking that it was the new episode. My friends convinced me to watch it and I did. Now that I know it is a leak i will make sure I never watch a leak again. I will still watch the full episode when it premieres and support future creations of toh â€

I heard somewhere that the audience range is from age 12 to 30! (Can't really confirm this) While Disney Channel is focused on like ages of 7 to 10 lol.
I dislike how ALL of the Disney executives are so Anti-LGBTQ+ and they have to cancel awesome shows like The Owl House just because they want to make money for themselves. I wish the rest of the world, including homophobic people, would not be so hateful towards these representations in animated kids shows. I'm a straight person myself, and I think the LGBTQ+ representation in these shows are awesome and beautiful. I wish The Owl House and other shows like it were never cancelled so early like this.

I'm a straight male in my 40's and I'm not usually a fan of 'woke' content so I'm not exactly the demographic the Owl House was targeting and I LOVED this show. When Lumity finally became a thing I gave a literal fist pump and felt a thrill of excitement and happiness that i haven't felt for a long time. If you want to sell LGBTQ to the world then you need to promote shows like this then let me just say 'this is the way.'

Honestly, Lightyear & Strange New World failed not because of the LGBTQ things but because lightyear was lame and strange world wasn't marketed. I didn't even know the movie existed until about a month before it came out and forgot it was in theaters. There was no LGBT backlash cuz nobody knew what it was

But because of the whole time travel plot with Zurg actually being Future Buzz was really stupid and anti climactic. The first half of the movie wasnât that bad. But to say a movie is bad because of representation alone is an unfair way to criticize a movie unless said representation did something to worsen the story. Tbh I donât think it should be the decision of every country to accept LGTBQ just to air a show, so what if it doesnât air in some countries more reason to keep fighting for it and pushing the content forward. Itâs sad that Disneys greed takes president over a full 3rd season of a show.
I would point out that Lightyear was shit for reasons NOT relating to the brief LGBTQ rep within. It's commonly described by those who watched it (such as myself) as more like a reboot that adult Andy would've seen out of nostalgia, rather than the 90's original it pretended it was.

But yes, Strange World failed due to poor advertisement. Lightyear got censored in many countries because of that background kiss, which lasted for TWO SECONDS

I have not seen the leaked episode but I just think for future shows they should not even give the final product to any third party companies like iTunes until the show is officially released to avoid any leaks like this one. As for the LGBTQ backlash I jus have to say that it is stupid to judge and hate a person who is apart of this community and it is even more stupid to judge a character who is canonically part of the LGBTQ community. If you watch the show and you are homophobic then just ignore the gay characters and stop getting mad over something as small as a character in a TV show or movie. The show still deserves to go on and those anti-LGBTQ people need to know that (A) trying to hide the concept of the LGBTQ from your children is pointless, they are going to be exposed to it sooner or later so just deal with it, and (B) just because there is gay representation on a show, does not mean that it is a bad show. I consider myself straight, so I donât care about the LGBTQ rep in shows like these. I just watch them because I like them. And Disney shouldnât have to cancel just because of other countries censoring them or banning them. Itâs not fair for people like us who like this show. Not everyone can be pleased. And sure, this show may be more mature than Disneyâs current shows, but that is what makes it great. I donât have cable, but I hope to watch it on DisneyNow. I didnât watch the leak. I love how LGBTQ is being represented in The Owl House because of the romantic relationship between Luz Noceda and Amity Blight (Lumity) and how it has evolved throughout the show!!!!! I also love they show Raine Whispers (non-binary), Masha (non-binary), Boschaâs two moms, Lilith (asexual and aromantic), and The Collector (non-binary and uses he/them pronouns)!!!!! Honestly I feel like Disney has been pretty picky when it comes to success. Making a show takes a BIG budget but considering how many people like this one, it might be worth homophobic parents not giving them money. Disney has such a big influence (at least in America) that I feel like including LGBTQ+ representation could make kids more considerate when it comes to real people.
