    Absolutely gorgeous truck, Damn I really miss my slammed dually. I had a 1980 Chevy dually that was slammed on the ground. I did a 4" gentleman chop top to it, basically leaving the front of the roof at stock height but took 4" out of the back pillars causing the roof to slant down to the back. I was going to build a custom camper shell which would have continued slanting to the back of the truck where the top of the shell would have only been about an inch taller than the tailgate. She was a single cab wiry a long bed, suicide doors, mirrors were off of a 94 Chevy Suburban which were made to look like the mirrors were growing out of the side of a skull. An arm came out of each door and made to look like it was holding the mirror straight. 7 skulls were made to look like the were pulling through the sheet metal on the roof with 10mm orange LEDs for eyes to replace the cab markers and the skulls on each door had the same LEDS to flash with the turn signals. I also used 8" ig rig exhaust tubing to make one of a kind lake pipes that came through the front fenders from Flowmaster mufflers that sat behind the headlights making the big rig tubing to be similar to really big exhaust tips. Just a taste of a few body mods I did to the truck.

    You started out with some pretty nice sheet metal.

    Awesome build. I have the same truck, same color and this build inspired me to keep the color. The previous owner had the whole truck the one color, even the wheels. Nothing to break it up, but after seeing this and how the white grill and the billet wheels helps break things up. I just might keep the color. Now I just need the money for a GSI suspension haha

    What an awesome truck. Trying to pick up a 69 crew cab conversion roller but the guy thinks it’s worth gold. Really hoping I can get it bought and do a similar style build that I can haul the whole family in.

    Like the raised bed floor. A friend of mine just cut about 8 inches from the top of the inside bed and raised the floor with wheel wells up for his air ride clearance.

    Absolutely brilliant work on the chassis, engine and interior. Why would you do all that, then leave the exterior all undone? Why would you? It’s appealing to two different ways of thinking, each excluding the other.

    i can't believe it some one started with a real truck not a rust bucket i have 3 like this for projects the one i'm doing now i'm putting 454 stroker in it keeping the stock suspension it will last longer then aftermarket plus the motor dropped the front 3 inches just need too drop the back 3 inches still have the 327 and 400 turbo from stock matching # all rebuilt

    you have a classic and going to bag it you just bag you know front back side to side or bagg and body

  • @Road_Rash
    @Road_Rash Před rokem +1

    While I can appreciate the build quality, the time & effort put into it, they ruined it for use as an actual truck...not my bag...& if you go to this extent, give it a paint job...don't leave it looking like a garbage can sitting on a set of rims that likely cost more than my house...doesn't have to be a fancy paint job with a bunch of wild graphics, a plain & simple job will work...speaking of rims, I wish the wagon wheel trend would die...& once built, drive the damn thing...trailer queens suck out loud...

    At the start of the video showed a before and after of the original paint. I'm about to pick up a 71 gmc, the paint looks very faded likes yours did. What all did you do to bring the color back out? i know some have used Comet and CLR to wash. How'd you do it??

    I'm not a fan of dropping trucks at all.
    They should be left up where they belong...

    All that work and it's a trailer queen. Pathetic to build a truck so nice that is never on the road. If you have to trailer your car/truck everywhere, you failed.
