Strawberry mochi is a delightful Japanese treat that combines the chewiness of mochi with the sweetness of strawberries. It typically consists of a soft, sticky rice cake (mochi) wrapped around a sweet filling made from strawberries or strawberry-flavored paste. Sometimes, fresh strawberries are used as the filling, and the mochi is dusted with a light coating of starch to prevent sticking. It's a popular dessert in Japan and enjoyed for its unique texture and fresh fruit flavor.

Yummy. Do you have to consume mochi right away, or will it last for a while?

You must eat it the same day. Putting it in the fridge will harden

My Japanese store sells them hard. They told me to put them in the microwave and they will soften up.

Mrs Ching, do I use the azuki beans right out of the can? No need to rinse or anything? Thank you.

Yes, use it straight from the can or package. It's a paste so no rinsing.
