This video shows the history of tea in a very good way with great pictures, maps explaining each and everything. This video explains how from ladakh to andaman and lot of respect and honor to singhpos of assam who grow tea. As we all know that we begin our day with a cup of tea and we are habituated to tea in such a way that tea has became essential in our lives.
Loved this video on the history of tea! Good maps, good chuckles, great photos. Thanks!
That’s so interesting, In China we call tea “Cha” sounds so similar!
Dude Indians and the Chinese (and in turn other Asian+SE Asian cultures) share so much in common with each other, it's really very cool! :)
E.g. Japanese word "kombu" is very similar to Tamil "kombu" where they both mean a sort of 'stick'
Chinese word for veggies is 'cai' and in Tamil it's "kai" :D
Bengalis call it Cha too!
We call it thingpui. ☻
In Marathi it's called "Chaha" and not chai. It's very similar to Chinese japanese pronunciation
In Odisha (Indian state) we call it "Cha" or "Chaha" too
What a nice video! I watched it a couple of times to find all the easter eggs - 1. 0:43 Modiji, 2. 6:19 "this is me 3 years in china", 3. like mentioned by someone already 8:40 - twice of 420 has a stoned grown up adarsh balak, and 4. 11:35 thanks "unusually large amount of tea"
Thanks! And wow! You have a sharp eye :D
In 1972,I was in standard 9, our Headmistress, Anandi Kenwar , while teaching Commercial Geography about beverages, had told us how tea was initially used as medicine in China and asTea, her visit to China, and how green tea was the household drink and its flavour and medicinal value..I used to mention this, whenever subject relating to tea came up .RIP Baidew

History of tea in India is a good video .really a single tea having this much history .anyhow the work is good, collected many pictures and lot of information. and we are very proud to say that world famous tea and quality tea production from our India. Single cup of tea makes friendship very strong so nowadays it is minimum and common formality to providing tea or giving tea. In our Indian cinemas if there is any scene of matching the first formalities giving a tea by a girl to a boy so that much vital role occupies in our India. Without tea the day will not complete
