Great info thanks. I was in Benidorm last week, and I watched a few ladies sit down at a table in a outside bar, just putting their bags on the ground, or on a empty chair next to them. I was so anxious just watching what could easily have happened.
My cross over bag never leaves me- even having a meal…..

Just spent three weeks in Benidorm, not many pea/potato men about and plenty of police. Last year we witnessed a lady get her purse lifted while she watched the pea men. The pickpocket handed tit to the red haired lady who works with them. Don't stand anywhere near them just keep walking with your hand on your valuables.
Good information and advice regarding the pick pocketers. Another good idea and deterent is to attach a cat bell to your bag/purse. The bell should tinkle at the slightest movement thereby alerting you to anyone trying to take your purse.

Man came up side of me asking questions said he was French but when I started talking in French he didn’t have a clue !
Next thing he’s rapping his leg around mine as a distraction ! And the watch was gone !

There's a bus 003 to the parks, also Train from Upper side of benidorm L1, or taxi 🚕
Let's call it what it is...eastern Europeans. I can spot them a mile off in the uk. Once a "elderly" looking woman wearing a scarf and pushing a trolly got off the train i was getting on and i knew something was off in a matter of seconds so as i got on the train she passes me and i take a quick look behind me and her hand was extended to my coat pocket. She went crazy that she got caught. I'm not saying pickpockets are only eastern Europeans but majority actually are. There was one time though i went ibiza for my first time and walking down the san Antonio strip 2 african females approached me and as one randomly gave me a hug her friend went thru my pockets and took cash and cigarettes. You really need to keep your whits about you on holiday.
All will be overcrowded again. Noisy ev erywhere
