As a Benidorm regular for more than 30 years it has become increasingly obvious (even prior to Brexit) that the Spanish authorities would prefer not to have British visitors.

I was looking to go back to Benidorm as I really enjoyed my last holiday there but I'll have to think again. Even if I can save enough for the holiday, I'll never be able to save €700 as well. Very disappointed.

was thinking of going to benidorm next year but this new law will probably mean we look elsewhere or stay in the uk and boost our own economy not the spanish one, how dare they say that you must have x amount of money or you will not be allowed entry, i for one will not be held to ransom and i hope thousands do the same.

These restrictions are awful;- So what happens if you come to Spain from the UK in a campervan to live off grid for 3 months?..................Will I be allowed to go to a non shengan country (Turkey) and then return to Spain after 180 days?...........Will I still have to prove 100 euro`s per day?...............this is the EU taking revenge for us leaving the EU in 2016.

Thank you so much again for another great video Ana. Booked for next September last week so was not expecting the 100 euro per day rule. Guess it's something we have to do nowadays, but hoping it may be reviewed by then. Totally agree with the non smoking rule on beaches, as a non smoker never good to find used cigarette butt's on beach.

I really enjoyed that. Thank you Anna. I move to Spain in November and will be looking for a property in Albir. That was very informative 👍

100 euro a day per person so 5600 euro for 4 people for a fortnight. You could buy a bar in Benidorm for that. Spain can stick it for me from now on and I’ll go to Egypt and Turkey where they really appreciate tourists.

Hi Ana, we were in Benidorm, Hotel Rosamar 6th to 20th July. Absolutely no problems through airport either coming or going home. Passport was stamped but no questions asked. Had a great holiday fortnight as usual, just love Benidorm. Watched out for you but never spotted you. Take care in the heat.

It’s a shame there’s so many rules and regulations or hoops to jump through now to visit Spain : we had booked for next June in ambassador playa with jet2 but because of all the mess around we have now cancelled and booked for Turkey instead : such a shame as we love Benidorm but unfortunately as other commenters have said if Spain continues to make it harder for tourists then it will be losing the tourism it once had. Really hope they change their minds when they realise before it’s too late ☹️

Thanks Ana, a clear explanation of the €100 per person topic. So why are so many people in the comments section not really listening properly to your explanation and getting it wrong...!

If this news about needing money and return ticket is true, Spain will lose a hell of a lot of its biggest tourist country, the UK. Greece and Turkey will be rubbing their hands

Well done with your fish rescue, Ana. I felt quite sad at first wondering why people weren’t helping the poor creature but all’s well that ends well. By for now 👋

Our seaside towns could use the investment so I hope that it encourages more people to staycation. This and the ridiculous restrictions on flights that are coming will be very bad for tourism.
