This attritional warfare is going to have long term impacts on both Ukraine and Russia. The amount of personnel and economic resources lost in this war is staggering. Even in the case of a total victory by either side, it’s going to have a significant impact even on the winner.

And that was when Ukraine was low on ammo. What is going to change to allow Russia to win in two months?
Thanks for your service.
We are in a war of attrition SOLELY because we have chosen not to give Ukraine air power.

"Russians desperately advancing", yes, if by "desperately" you mean "methodically"
Russia is huge superpower and will always be!! BTW, countries from NATO can only afford fighting each other as already happened when USA ended Germanyś Nord stream !!!! Last year we could see the "quality" of USA´s weapons in counterofensive in Ukraine. The only things which were remarkable about those guns were the PRICE and the SPEED in which these were wiped out... USA decided not to use the remaining Abrams, since they found out, that it could not survive any direct contact wit Russia´s very capable army. Notice the paradox: Ukraine is forcefully sending man to front lines to die there, while USA decided, that their machines should not "die" in Ukraine , crazy disgusting NATO...
Most of that $61bn goes to American weapons manufacturers to make new and fill in the empty stockpiles. Providing this will end up in Ukraine, that means some time will pass. Won't be instant. What is currently being given is a small amount. However, more pressing issue is: will Ukraine have enough men by the time most of the "donations" arrive?
Wrong. The US has not stopped sending weapons to ukraine all this time. That's Ukrainian cope to explain why Russia is advancing.

Almost seems like a copy of the
Brusilov Offensive in WW1. Very similar circumstances. Austria-Hungarian forces very low on ammo were attacked everywhere along the line at once to achieve breakthroughs anywhere and exploit them. It was TECHNICALLY a success but at ridiculously high losses. They were so high it took away Russia's offensive capabilities and was followed by the Russian Revolution within a year or so.
*Keep up the good work bro.🤌🏼
@TheMilwaukeeMark
Wow Bro…….. great synopsis of a Wikipedia summary………… 🤨
Now try and get back to the world when you read some actual WW1 history books………….. 😉
Even if we assume that Russia has significantly higher losses then Ukraine then still the result would be total defeat of Ukraine if the comparison holds water. The reason is the Brussilov offensive was basically game over for the Austro-Hungarian army. The only reason Austria-Hungary did not had to sue for peace was that Germany sent lots of reinforcements to help stabilize the front. Ukraine has no ally that will send troops.
It is a bit early to tell, if Russia can keep the pressure, but a better comparison might be Operation Bagration from WW2. Although the USSR had a lot higher losses then the Germans the Russians could sustain the losses while Germany never recovered from this blow.

Most likely no. the aid hasn't reached the front lines yet. But Ukraine will have been holding stuff in reserve and rationing carefully due to uncertainty about future supply, but can now release it all.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces also fled from Novokalinovo, which was practically surrounded by lunchtime, and decided to focus their desperate efforts on holding strongholds between Keramik and Ocheretino...It is critically important for the Ukrainian command to hold them, since there are no particularly convenient defense lines in the north. Interesting side effect of Russian sanctions, young people couldn't leave. On the other hand, millions of young ukrainians have left and will never come back, that is guaranteed.
As a result of yesterday's offensive, the Russian Armed Forces captured Keramik. Four days of bypassing Ukrainian positions from the east yielded results.
The most important thing is that this forces units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in two large strongholds west of Keramik to retreat so as not to be surrounded.
Never lose your patience. Afghanistan fought Soviet-Afghan War around 9 years and finally they have won the war. Ukraine and West should have patience to win the war.
Completely different type of war, you can’t compare the two
Well said!

Afghans totally different kind of people.
Russians and Ukranians basically the same.
Russia stronger. Russia will win.

To insinuate anything other than a Ukrainian victory is to serve the Russian Regime's purposes putinbot, Ukraine will get all of the aid it needs even if it requires european and American soldiers supporting their European Ukrainian brethren

You mean people with common sense and an iq*
They’ve been here awhile.
@@j2ax136, do you have common sense & an IQ? Do you really?
Because one of these Armies literally invaded itself. One of these Armies are busting out T-55 tanks that are as old as my Father. One of these Armies is trying to hold onto a peninsula bordered on 3 sides by saltwater bodies without any desalinization capabilities. One of these Armies has commanders wanted by The Hague for war crimes & hūmān trafficking.
@@CoffeeAndPaulfirst of all, you do know the USA still uses harrier jump jets in its naval airforce? Using old tanks as artillery is not a bad thing, also I'm going to assume you're talking about crimea in the second comment, if it's so unimportant then why has ukraine targeted it so much? All the things you've said does not show that ukraine is going to win. So who really has the low iq?
@@j2ax136 . Crimea is important because it is UKRANIAN TERRITORY . And Russia cut off the Fresh water supply to it when they blew up the Nova Khakovka Dam . Also , by the same action , risking a possible Meltdown in the Nuclear Power facility . The Fallout Cloud from THAT scenario would have covered a HUGE Area over Russia itself . Face it , Russia are VANDALS , War Criminals and fucking idiots .

The Russian salient is vulnerable, in a war of movement. We’ll see what happens
Wish it was a maneuver warfare war but it isnt. Was hoping they had an tank battalion to crish that salient, winds up it was the M1 battalion and they were pulling off the line for refit and did a poor maneuver getting off the line and had no relief.
Russia is irrisistable
It's only vulnerable if the Ukrainians have fresh and effective combat units nearby. All evidence we have seen in 2024 would say that those do not exist at present.
Controlled withdraw, defense in depth, advancing backwards…. Call it what you want

Those cluster munitions seem like they'd be very effective for clearing mines.. is that the Case? Or no
Not reliably enough to be useful sadly. Anti-tank mines need quite a lot of pressure to trigger them, since they're calibrated to go off when a vehicle rolls over them but not when a soldier steps on them. A cluster munition might set off some of them, but you couldn't guarantee that you'd got them all, or even enough to make a meaningful gap.
