  • Kenya's economy is in serious trouble. The country's leadership has just pushed through Parliament a budget that is driven by the need to collect as much tax as possible. In fact, the government's target of Kshs 3.6 trillion in the 2023/2024 budget is Kshs 1.5 trillion more than the 2022/2023 budget. This speaks to the desperate situation that Kenya is in. But Kenya's debts don't come from thin air.
This series breaks it all down. It is a story of at least a decade of mismanagement of Kenya's loans, shocking corruption and debt dependency that has led the country to this point told by auditors, analysts and insiders.

Nothing new here. At the end of it all, we all know that Kenya government is a voluntary accomplice for western governments in siphoning generational wealth out of Africa and into overseas secrecy jurisdictions wholly owned and controlled by the US and UK. For example, the irony why Kenyatta family bank their monies in the Seychelles instead of banking in Kenya despite the fact that the Kenyatta family own the some of the biggest banks in Kenya? Because the Kenyattas are just a vehicle or an avenue facilitating for the siphoning of wealth out of Africa. In fact, I implore Africa Uncensored to investigate how much money and wealth is stolen out of Africa every year... only to find out that involuntarily, it is Africa that finances and feeds the entire world.

@@jacqdanieles Well, at times when Africans have held their leadership accountable and closed one or some of these loopholes which allow for that 'external bogeyman' to steal generational wealth out of Africa, what does that 'external bogeyman' do? I'll tell you... the 'external bogeyman' foments strife and rivalries and coups, even financing them and equips private local militias to enable control of regions and areas on African soil which contain valuable natural resources and minerals. (Blood diamonds) In the case where African leadership puts down their foot and deny access to valuable minerals, that so-called 'external bogeyman' gets aggressive to the point of eradicating the African leader altogether. Tanzania's former president ended decades of Tanzanite theft but for a few months before he mysteriously died... people blamed covid (i doubt it was covid) ... these 'external bogeymen' have tentacles akin to Australian spiders which meddle everywhere.

The more Kenyans know, the more likely they are to act. If not in holding their representatives accountable, because we are collectively tolerant, but the way they can - on the ballot.
If we do not have these leaders in office, they will have no avenues to further corruption. The constitution in its design makes it difficult for citizens to impeach leaders, so at the bare minimum this can be a first step.
Is there a way to partner with local vernacular media stations to spread this expose so that a larger audience can be reached for a chance to have greater collective impact - food for thought.

During Kibaki's first tenure as president of Kenya, there were some scandals that came from cabinet leaders in what they described as 'our time to eat'. And they did eat properly.
When Uhuru came into power as president of Kenya, he was committed to ending corruption in his government.
Until he met Jimi Wanjigi. The mastermind of scandals from the previous government.
This guy proved himself tough in that the president ended up paying some KShs 4 billion in unpaid dues by the previous government.
The money in itself was scandalous in that it was payment for goods purchased but were never delivered...
But the rest is history and the demon of corruption and scandals was unleashed with a vengeance untameable till today...
    Or is it truly untameable?
