It's like Dantioch inherited all the good traits of his father without all the bad.
So essentially not seeing the eye of terror all of time which actually start to realize that if you see the eye constantly it messes with your thought process. Shit that explains a reason why he didn’t tell the emperor

In some aspects yes if only he was there to talk to Perty rather then Horus (side note Perty did hard carry the traitors tho and mess up Dorn with the iron cage so he was bad but was great at it)

To be fair Perturabo was cursed to constantly see the Eye of Terror. Dantioch takes the cake in terms of fortresses though.

Loyalists from traitor legions are the most interesting characters in the setting, and it's a goddamn shame that GW didn't contrive a way for some of them to still be around.
Space Sharks are rumored to be founded from traitor Geneseed partially. I'm all for them to be founded by Sevatar but idk.

The Grey Knights are made with the Emps geenseed.
You could say that they do exist. The Minotaurs are pretty well established at this point to be iron warriors descendants. Pretty much everybody accepts the blood ravens as Thousand Sons. Considering it’s 40K I’m pretty sure there are plenty of ways to bring back. Original loyalists from trader legions. Time travel, warp shenanigans. Heck an entire legions worth of Marines was transported far into the future through the warp and are gathering in Legion strength.
Stringstorm should make a song about Dantioch's unwavering stand on Lesser Damantine, or following the development of his friendship with Alexis and eventual death. Something like Rylanor's song. It would kick ass so hard Perturabo would look cuddly.

Dantioch's will was so unbreakable that even Perty or Morty would envy him. Even tohugh he possibly doomed the Milky Way, he was such a gigachad. B)
And I won't lie, the part where you described Dantioch's death moved me, even though I already knew about it. Kudos Majorkill. ;-/
Thinking the Tyranids wouldn't have found the milky way galaxy without the pharos device is most likely false.
The hive mind was searching and even when the thing wouldn't have gone "beacon mode" it's very likely something would have gained the Tyranids attention sooner or later anyway.
I have a feeling that the explosion of Cadia and the psychic backlash would bring the Tyranids to the Milky Way. Plus the Great Rift would just be a colorful light show to them because of the Tyranids Shadow of the Warp.
You also can't discount the Aeldari's ability to fuck up the galaxy by trying the fiddle with prophecies, that they essentially make happen as a direct result of what they do.

@@Raffney even if they somehow didn't never noticed the milky way, Guiliman and The Lion would've have died, making Sanguinius arrival impossible, possibly making the siege of terra a win for the traitors.

In the new book the son of the forest, Lion El Johnson mentions him by name and how he saved him, the fact that his name will be returned to history brings a tear to my eye, I got emotional too bro
This Man was one of the greatest Legends the Astartes ever had, be his memory as steadfast like the loyalty and Honor in his Heart was, to be never forgotten by the once he saved.
I think it would be a cool idea to post the books you use as a source in the description so people can know where to read more.

One of the most heart warming relationships to come out of the neverending suffering of the 40k universe is dantiochs relationship with polux. Without barabas, the two hope of humanity today would almost certainly be gone
I think the greatest part of this video is "dantioch and friends"! Such a perfect way to title that group. Dantioch and pollux relationship is one of the best stories in all of 40k. Pollux didn't think he could measure up to control the pharos, but dantioch never doubted him. Dantioch was just one of the most badass space marines ever but he was also an extreme level genius even above the normal space marine. He had to figure that pharos device out with no information to start with. He just figured it out. I can't explain how amazing of a feat that is in text

The Amber Kings story telling of Dantioch and Polux had me unexpectedly emotional at the end!! Absolutely brilliant!
Just bought the Son of Iron Mini. It’ll be my first Warhammer 40k figure ever. Excited to finally get in on this hobby and hopefully make something cool.
That turned from an epic story about an honorable and badass warrior to a sad yet kind of sweet story that hit deep.

Barabas Dantioch is one of my favourite 40k characters and the thing that made me not just love The Iron Warriors Legion and is the main reason I play my own Heresy-Era Iron Warriors as a Loyalist breakaway of the main legion. I'm glad Majorkill did this gigachad justice!

Perturabo's favorite son. He loves when his sons don't follow along with his awful ideas and push back against their daddy. Perty was proud of the sons who refused to attack Olympia when ordered. He banished him Dantioch not just because he was just mad, but because he was allowing Dantioch to retire in peace instead of dying on the battlefield like the Iron Warriors tend to do en masse.

Dantioch is one of the best characters of Sci-fi, and it sucks that not enough people know of him.

10:16 maybe for the same reason I did. This man not only gave his life, but cast aside his brothers, his oaths and his allegiances to save millions in the name of doing what’s right. He died in the arms of his enemy, and best friend. Even beyond the passage of time and the forgetting of his name, the scythes still looked to him as a guiding example. Go ahead and get emotional. That’s what a good story is supposed to make you do. I figure that having this kind of response is a good litmus test for the contents of your own heart. It’s the good stuff, sir.

I love the Iron Warriors, especially pre-heresy. They're severely underrated. My chapter, the Ashen Heirs, are a Cursed Founding chapter descended from the Iron Warriors. As an aspiring architect that ended up an enforcer for several years, I related to Perturabo. I won't get into all that, but I loved the character and the chapter, as I happened to do a deep dive on them during that time. Been my favorite ever since, hands down.
His name is up there with heroes like Loken, Sigismund, Saul Tarvitz, Rylanor, and Jenetia Krole. The gigachad hall of fame

The scene where Alexis Polux carries Dantioch is one of the only moments in the Horus Heresy that made me cry. A rare show of emotion from any Astartes, made even more poignant due to the their respective legions.

I wasn't paying attention and just clicked when I saw a new Majorkill video. When loyal astarties from traitor legions were mentioned the first one I thought of was Dantioch, then I saw his name in the description and title. He's such a fucking legend.
I wonder what Leman Russ would do as he searches for a cure. He finds the massive World Tree in the Warp with each fruit on that tree being about the size of a planet. Imagine exploring those worlds on the tree, fighting and training during his adventures. Ingredients needed for an elixir to heal or improve the Emperor like never before.
