Watched a couple different videos, but this was the one!!! Thank you!!
You’re welcome, my pleasure 😇
Excellent. Well done step by step video. Loved your voice and your humor. As an added tip for someone like me who had difficulty with the snap ring, please show the indentation on the rod just before you reposition the washer and the spring as you resembled the clutch. As I worked on my clutch, I couldn't see the indentation once everything was reassembled and ready for the snap ring placement. I was frustrated with the snap ring because I wasn't able to position the rod and ring correctly. My fault. I watched several other videos and no one showed the indentation on the rod. After spending time with the rod and ring not being able to snap it in place, I removed the inner parts, placed them in a stacking position and looked closely at the rod itself. Then I saw the indentation and within a couple of minutes had the snap ring secured to the rod.
Again great video, great audio and step by step.
Thanks for the tip- Always learning
Nice clutch breakdown - thank you!! Us amateurs can say f.. that tool all you need is a screwdriver and leverage.
Yep
I well be watching your videos.
I am so anxious to sit down and watch this! Thanks for unlocking the mysteries of Dyson engineering!
Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for the instructions.
You're welcome David. As you enjoyed the video
Outstanding video!! This video greatly helped me replace the belts on the clutch.
Glad it helped!
Loving this so far! I realized that the tape helps the plastic not to crack when you pry the piece off with the screw driver. Another video had a kid just pulling it out with his fingers. I could not, nor could my weight-lifting son. His Dyson was yellow though, so I think it's built slightly different...
Went out and bought a T15 screwdriver and it was about a 1/4 too short. I chopped off about 1/2 of the plastic handle with a chisel and mini sledge. I was proud of myself.
Great work Thomas. I remember how excited I was when I finally figured out how to fix it
They don't make Dyson belts for the clutch . They do make some off brand belts .
I cannot get the t15 closest to front off. It has resistance but it doesn't come out. It just turns and turns with about 40% resistance. Not sure what it's connected to. A loose nut? It's not the clutch cause I have the replacement and I can see the screw doesn't connect to it. I'm so frustrated. Am I screwed?
When say the front, do you mean the front section of the black cover?
What if belt still doesn’t turn after all this?😊
Check your brush. Try removing the end caps, sometimes they collect a lot of hair and carpet fiber. If the brush is fine. The consider replacing the entire clutch with a new one

@@monroevac awesome. I was thinking of getting into it. I have like 30 of them in the garage I found on side of the road. I like trying to fix them. I would like to get into fixing for people. There is nobody on my side of city/ town that does it.
@LLStacheLarry go for it. One at a time😊
