    Awesome vid! You provide detailed explanations as you proceed through your processes, which for a professional, is sometimes hard to do as we do our thing so often it is second nature to us. So, hats off to you sir for being an 'Excellent!' instructor. Thank you

    How is the wiring routed to the switch? At 13:50 I can see it goes into the duct right below the fan, but how does it exit the duct? Do you just drill a hole in it in the attic? I'm currently installing a used swamp cooler on my house with the same set up, but the house hasn't had one before so I'm doing the whole system (all ductwork and wiring to the breaker) and haven't figured out yet how I'm going to route the wiring to the switch from the cooler

    You made that base, but you should’ve put it on some little legs or maybe just get a base out of metal because if that thing ever starts leaking all the water is going to get trapped where the base that you made because you sealed it so the water is gonna get trapped or make some drain hose

    1:07 / as soon as the installer noticed the big dent in the top and of the cooler, he should of repackaged it and had the customer or himself returned the cooler for an undamaged unit.
    Who in their right mind would accept a brand new car for example with a big dent in the side ?
    If you pay good money for a product, shouldn't you receive a cooler in perfect condition ?

      As we all know, in a perfect world, there would be no products that showed up damaged and a full supply available if something needs to return them. I appreciate the thought of returning;g the unit, but this customer wanted to move forward with the project the morning we showed up and found the unit they purchased damaged. There was no issues that would occur with the correct operation of the unit. I agree with installing the unit, once inspected for operation, when the customers is insistent that it’s their desire to do so. It’s their home and I work for them, period.

    Did you attach the swamp cool to the wood base or does it just sit freely?

    • @motowizard4444
      @motowizard4444 Před 3 lety

      Looks like he did it freely. I have metal strips that go from wood up to the sides where the inserts sit. Make sure you don’t drill it into the bottom as you will make holes in the bottom.

      Hello, the swamp cabinet, which they sell separately, from the motor, is small medium and large. This is down draft swamp cabinet that we put a 1/2 hp motor is a medium and would cold a large single wide. The larger cabinets are more for double wides. The project should cost you total of $1600, but that is in our particular market in Colorado. I get it that there are lots of different areas where that varies. Get lots of bids and tell the contractor that you are doing so, that way their estimate will want to win the work.

      Hello, we do have a video ‘how to wire a swamp cooler’. You have to find the common and then move to separate the different settings. I hope the other video will be helpful.

    No need to tar the water tray?

    • @randydolph852
      @randydolph852 Před 2 lety

      Hello, I have seen people do that. I have found that the tar does start peeling and giving problems of its own. The base trough is ready to hold water as is. I think as long as the base is doing we’ll you should hold off on adding that product. Thanks for the comment.

    Why put it on the roof?

    • @randydolph852
      @randydolph852 Před 2 lety

      It is easier to get air to more of the home instead of a lower in the home window mount.

      Hello, I appreciate the feedback. On this video I was just going over the basics with the idea of replacing an existing cooler and with the whole already in place, and a premiered switch. Running the wiring and cutting a whole is quite a different task.

    Thanks for not showing how to connect the wires from the pump and blower motor, literally the only reason i watched this video and you didn't show how to connect the wiring, you just talked about the differences between the wires. Good to know, but even better would be to see how those wires connect.... Too much talking too little showing what the F to do.
