i wish i could find one for removing from wall/window, they installed this thing years ago (for my grandma) well she past last year and i personally dont want it nor use it as it causes me to cough a lot (even after thorough cleaning) this thing is mounted with 2 support chains up top and 2 stints sticking into the wall from the bottom.
But this video gave me an idea what to do, which is likely do a tear down piece by piece since im alone. dont want to pay 250 dollars to have someone remove it. so thank you for posting this.
Glad we can help you out with this. Andrew did this all alone for the most part but he always has a spotter or someone on site to make sure if anything bad happens, help can be there right away. Roof work is very dangerous, and we recommend safety monitor or fall arrest system always, when not doing roofing day to day .
The blower motor is one of, if not most heavy part of that cooler with typically only two screws to remove it !!
Suggestion!!! Disconnect the electrical or shut off the breaker BEFORE you start working on the unit, especially if there is still water present in the unit!

Great video! With this particular setup, how much would it run to hire a roofer to remove and patch? I feel like I could get the cooler off but patching it is another story..
This depends on the material you have on the roof currently and also the amount to shingle. Usually we pay 80$ per sq here Colorado for a whole job. One square is 3 bundles of shingles almost the equivalent to 100sqf . shingle
Small shingle jobs vary in price . Installing new shingle onto old shingle is much more challenging . Your looking at anything from150$ up to 1000$+ for repairs.
Is 2000, a reasonable price in colorado to get it removed, patch up the existing place with shingles and fixing drywall with water damage

Around 100 - 200 pounds depending on the system and filters used.
