Thank you! This is so useful and detailed. We are moving to Portland this week, and I found out a lot of interesting things in your video since we are looking to rent a place and choosing a good neighborhood for a family with kids. Best wishes to you and your channel!
I live on Bybee Blvd.,myself!In the Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood!(Yes,it's a quirky,1923 tudor-style house!)Within 2 miles of EVERYTHING!Airport,Downtown's 15 minutes away,Clackamas Town center,tons of Restaurants,schools,the MAX,etc.
We live on the cusp between Laurelhurst, and Park Rose. I love living here as it is so central to everything! Also, the fact that the majority of neighborhoods are downtown. There is no way I’d ever live there, or in Moreland....ffs, nothing about those is desirable to me.
Enjoyed the video, using to help plan a visit. if possible could you include a map when you show introduce the neighborhood. Had to pull up a map to look as you went through. Thanks!
Georgia Coast Homes by Karin Carr if you are from L.A. then it rains a lot but for normal people it’s not bad at all!! 🤣🤣. We aren’t on the coast like Seattle where yes it rains a bus load!
I've been wondering the same thing. I'll be moving to Portland in the next couple of years, and wonder if the rain is literally 6 months out of the year, like I've heard.
Heres the Thing.. it is not the Rain. It is the GREY> I tis grey for most of the 9 months before the short summer. Please visit, all seasons, not just that 3 month window. Some do not do well with the lack of sunshine.
True, you DO get a lot of rain, here, but it's mostly just in sprinkles, and reasonable rain, and not the DROWNING -type.However,you'll WANT the mile-thick cloud cover, that protects Portland from freezing Winters,or hot Summers.Really makes it comfterable to live here.
So I'm planning to move to Portland Oregon I would like to find somewhere out a little bit in the country where would be the best place and do they have 420 shops around in that area can you tell me a good place to move that's a good area thank you
Looking to get a job at OHSU hospital soon and figuring out where to rent temporarily for up to a year. I am looking to buy a multifamily and get started on REI and hopefully I can make Portland my home. Any places I should avoid renting due to homelessness ,crimes, etc? Thanks in advance!
@@LivinginPortlandOregon I appreciate your quick reply! I just got done watching your "top 5 safe cities to live in near Beaverton Oregon" video and I definitely have to scope out each of those areas before buying a property. I will save your info and keep in touch! Jon
Hello Jackson. My husband and I are going to Portland in 3 months. I am looking for apartment or condo for rent. Looking for apartment in Tigard area. Is this good area and how far is it to southwest first ave?
Seriously? No Irvington/Grant Park/Alameda-Laurelhurst neighborhoods on your list? They Are the best neighborhoods in the city! Can’t believe you called yourself a PDX realtor!
I had to laugh at the positive spin put in for living close to downtown Portland...ewwww. Then I noticed the date of the video; before the major decline of Portland. That explains it.
This video is off the chain!!

7:24 pretty sure that’s me turning left onto Milwaukie in the orange fit lol
Some of these neighborhoods have bad crime rates (Pearl District). I wouldn’t consider that as the best neighborhood.

Frank Driscoll thanks so much, this was a fun video!
Five of the best or five of the most expensive neighborhoods
They usually go hand in hand, unfortunately!
Right? I hate that the majority of neighborhoods mentioned are downtown. I would never live there. Give me east side and north any day.
Superb

This video is 3 years old. Since the pandemic and riots, a lot has changed. I recommend staying away from downtown Portland (pearl district) at night.
Great footage, love the landscape. Relocating to the Portland area, can't wait!

Top 5 neighborhoods have high prices and no character. North/ Northeast is where it is at.
A better title for this video would be the five most expensive neighborhoods. There are a lot of nice areas in Portland that are more affordable.
I like to you encouraged to visit this please I like to moved...thanks brother thanks 🙏 ....
