So, my favorite base form would have to be Ultraman X.
I really like how the suit accomplishes the digital/cyber theme, the colouring of it and the best part of this Suit to me are his Headphone's.

I love Ultraman Max. Max brought the Ultra series back to the forefront, after the disastrous Ultraman Nexus. don't get me wrong, I love Nexus. but, the series was a mess. Ultraman Max is a fun series. especially the episode where Max himself experienced amnesia 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
true. nexus had a few different people transforming which really threw it off but at the same time it was necessary for the forms

Bro. Nexus is the best ultraman show. Either that or you’re just trying to be different. This show is EVERYTHING I want from an ultraman show, and it could’ve been better if the series had 50 episodes cuz it got cut short due to the low ratings and parents saying that it is too dark for kids, which yea it is, you got monsters eating humans (which is rare nowadays), the mc’s gf being dead for a year and he is still hanging out with her, the second dunamist (himeya jun) struggling to keep up as nexus, and his past trauma he had which is just so dark. And this is prob the highest rated Ultraman series in IMDb I think
@@tiongdoraemon5771 blame the airing time, because Tsupro wanted to air Nexus in the evening/night where its target audience will be tuning in but somehow the show got aired on a weekend morning (basically the normal air time for other series)

My fav base form would have to be Victory’s, I love the inclusion of black into the body, really sets it apart from other suits and it flows really well with red and silver. The use of the crystals is great and that they’re more limited to the fore arms and boots which I think makes them pop more. Plus the head looks great, reminds me of a general’s hat which works for an Ultraman called Victory plus the V really fits there
well for me is either Geed or Ginga, but it's your list so i respect that. keep it up.

Had an idea that you could do a big rank list and rank the Ultra seasons you've watched and you finish watching, adding them to the list at the end of every season review video, would be very interesting, like this design ranking

Also from what I remember max is mostly episodic and fun.
One big advantage about Max is that it's very beginner-friendly, since it takes place in its own continuity, but no Ultras from past series show up; this allows newcomers to familiarize themselves with recurring kaiju, like Zetton, Baltan and Eleking, without needing to know about the other series where they originated from.
The series has some of the best episodes in Ultraman history, like the beautifully poignant “Miracle of the Third Planet”, incredibly hilarious “Who am I?", surreal “The Butterfly Dream” and the cinematic “The Untargeted Town”. Special mention must go to Alien Baltan's two-parter, which is, to date, their last appearance on TV. The two-parter itself is a good sendoff to the alien race and has a plot and visuals worthy of a feature film release.
In short, Max is a very well-made series that had the misfortune of being sandwiched between Nexus and Mebius, and ended up being overshadowed by both of them. At 39 episodes, it's shorter than most pre-New Gen series, which makes it quicker to finish, but it's definitely unique and high-quality.

Now for part 2. Time to state my thoughts on these ultras now.
Victory: Victory surprisingly has this stupid motif of the v’s, yet I find them to be rather neat looking. I guess it’s because of the primary colorization of black with silver and red, and how the v’s are in this sort of glowing yellow that stands out from the rest of the suit. I don’t know, I just find it to look pretty good. Maybe I would put Victory a bit lower, but otherwise, this spot is fine.
Blu: The suits of the brothers all have a simple design that is enhanced with a vibrate coloring and detailing. Just having the different shades of blue being placed to make this elemental effect and the protrusions on the arms and the legs makes this blue coloring work out very well, especially from a black and silver undersuit. I think this placement so far is fine enough.
Z: I see what you like about his design, but as for me, I’m not as huge of a fan. I don’t know, the complexity of the undersuit is too much for me. He’s not a bad suit as I do like the different additions on Z such as the different color timer and the ultra holes on his crest, but I wouldn’t place him this high. I would put Z lower for me.
Fuma: In terms of the Tri-Squad, I would say Fuma has the best design. But within the entire ultra series, not so much. Let me just see here, Fuma feels like Z, except the color choices here are implemented in a more symmetrical way that gives Fuma a more sleek feel. The simplicity of Fuma as well as how much that simplicity gives off works well. I would probably place Fuma a little bit lower though.
Trigger: As much as I really love Tiga’s design, I’m going to have to say Trigger’s is better. The additional gold armor pieces just further compliments the suit to a greater extent while still keeping the coloration and symmetrical design of the original Tiga. These differences that Trigger have overall just elevate my liking of the suit. I would probably place Trigger at the same place or maybe higher.
Taro: Taro has this simple feel with the primary red as well as silver linings which already makes this suit look good, but what I think makes Taro’s design even better are the addition design choices that evolve the ultra from the ordinary Ultraman like the ultra horns and his protector, as well as the detailing around them. Taro is definitely one of my favorite showa suits, but maybe I would place Taro slightly lower or maybe keep him in the same place.
Gaia: Out of the TDG trio, Gaia definitely has the better design in my opinion. One thing I didn’t like from V1 Gaia was how the red on his protector looked awkward and unusual. With V2, the black and gold protector works together much better that stands out incredibly well from the rest of the body, which already has a great design. I would probably place Gaia higher on the list.
X: Even though I’m not as high on X as some people, I will say that the detailing on X looks quite impressive. The cybernetic and mechanical aspects of the suit are for sure present as a result of the detailing as well as the coloration of the darker colors on top of the red and silver. And hey, I actually like the headphones that are on X. I would probably place X lower though.
Ginga: The color scheme of Ginga is really nice with the silver just lining with the red in a unique and oddly nice manner. The Zenshin Crystals just look amazing where they have this amazing glow of blue and other colors (depending on Ginga’s attack). Nothing else to say here other than Ginga has simple design choices that look amazing due to how they were used. Ginga would probably be at the same placement.
Rosso: Again, the same detailing that was present on Blu is also present in Rosso, so not much else to say. I will place Rosso higher because I think the red coloring does a lot more in standing out from the black and silver undersuit. I may place Rossi slightly lower, but he and ably defiantly have a great design.
Geed: Geed definitely feels like a combination of a light and dark Ultraman, and how it is used here looks great. We basically have the standard red and silver, but then there’s this black which gives off this dark presence while still not deviating from the standard Ultraman. And the eyes just have this unique shape that doesn’t make Geed look like a demon too much. I’d say Geed is only slightly lower or about the same placement for me.
Mebius: Ah yes. My favorite ultra warrior. Anyways, I feel like Mebius takes that simplistic design of the original Ultraman, but adds on a different design choice that enhances that look. How the red lining flows through the silver as well as the gold linings over Mebius’ body makes this feel like an evolution of the original. Despite being my favorite Ultraman, we are not ranking by series or character traits. We are looking at physical aesthetics and design, and in terms of that, Mebius would be very high, but not my #1 choice.
Orb: Being his base form, Orb’s design is simplistic, but still has areas where the design just looks good. I think the back area in the middle helps out with making the red and silver bits on the upper body stand out greatly and the ring shaped color timer perfectly ties in with Orb’s aesthetics. However, I would place Orb lower on the list because I think other Ultraman designs look better. Still though, for what it is, Orb looks pretty great.
Max: In terms of design, Max just looks out tightly majestic and gorgeous. This time, we got a primary color of red for the body. The red, however, looks especially great as a result of the other additions to the suit like the greatly designed silver and gold protector and shoulder guards which further makes Max stand out. The head too has this awesome sculpt and the detailing on the head again makes Max just stand out. All in all, Max just has this amazing appearance.
Ok, so now that I’ve stated what I think of these ultras and their placements, now to state who my favorite Ultraman is in terms of physical design and appearance.

And real quick, I’m just going to list out some other ultras that weren’t on your list:
Father of Ultra: I really like the elderly aspect they push with Ken. The suit itself doesn’t feel all that great to be honest, but the extra detailing such as the facial hair, buckle, and the large ultra horns really push out Ken’s status within the LOL. Not that high on my list, but definitely not bad.
Mother of Ultra: Out of all the female ultramen (or more accurately, ultrawomen), Marie for sure is my favorite. First of all, the overall red linings across the silver body look very sleek and feel more regal than a regular Ultraman, coupled with the extra armaments like her foot and hand gear as well as the marks across her center. Her hair also looks rather natural for an ultra and as a result, Marie’s overall appearance resembles one of an angel. Maybe she would be around mid to high middle tier.
Astra: Remember what you said about the awkwardness of Leo? Well for me, I think his younger brother was the one who suffered, not Leo. While the silver plating on Astra still gives off the same menacing feel that Leo gave, not to mention that leg restraint is a nice armament, the lack of cross horns just really rub me the wrong way and I don’t know, but whereas Leo’s plating wasn’t so distracting, Astra’s is. I would probably place Astra around high low tier on my list.
King: Like with Father of Ultra, I really like the elderly ascetic they push with King. The facial hair as well as King’s crown and protector just push this status to a great level. However, the colors rub me the wrong way. While I think the different color scheme works in differentiating King’s hierarchy status, the purple doesn’t really mix well with that white, not to mention, the design of the white doesn’t really scream uniform or grand. For those reason King is placed between low to mid tier for me, despite me wanting to put him higher.
Yullian: Yullian has the same problems as 80, this time worse. For being the LOL’s princess, she doesn’t have anything that stands out significantly like Ken or Marie. Sure, the main usage of silver can have a little charm like 80, but I would honestly say Yullian is my least favorite Ultraman (ultra woman) suit.
Zearth: I feel like Zearth’s suit is somewhat underrated. The main body has a very nice shade of red that I really don’t see in other ultras and the white lining is relatively lined up well without being too jarring. His head sculpting also looks really unique, though also a little awkward. He’s the type of ultra who puts a very different, but not drastic twist on what an Ultraman looks like. I would place Zearth a little bit around the mid to high tier of my list.
Agul: I have a bigger liking towards blue Ultraman as a whole, and Agil is one of the reasons why because I absolutely love this suit (more specifically V2). I love how nature and in tone Agul’s dark blue color scheme feels, especially when compared to Fujimiya. It has this cold and smooth flow that is hard to come across with other blue Ultraman and as for the other details, I actually prefer the gold marks and new protector that V2 has, feeling more in sync with Gaia V2. I would definitely place Agul around a high top on my list.
Seven 21: I’m not that huge on Seven 21. For me, he just feels like Ultraseven if all the coolness he possessed was washed away to leave behind an unsatisfactory and dull suit. Nothing else to really say. I would place him around the low end of my list.
Justice: Justice is definitely a mixed to meh opinion for me. That red along his suit is very similar to Zearth’s shade, but at the same time, part of it is ruined by the clashing colors of the black and silver, which don’t match well with the red. I will place Justice around the low mid tier level.
Legend: Being a legendary Ultraman, Legend certainly fits that title in both power level and physical form. While I will admit that the purple coloring along the chest, knees, and arms stand out in an awkward manner, the rest of the suit for sure makes it up with neatly lined up silver lines against the metallic gray colors across the body, and the head sculpt looks so unique. I would definitely place Legend very high on my list.
Noa: Very similarly to Legend, Noa fits the aspects of a legendary being so well. The compacted detail along Noa’s body, not to mention how the primary color of the suit is a very sleek and shiny silver is easily such a stand out feature. Along with the aegis on the back and the energy core, Noa is easily one of my favorite Ultraman designs.
Xenon: Xenon, for me, looks like Mebius with the opposite color scheme of primary red and silver details. While I prefer Xenon’s head shape and forehead crystal over Mebius, I can’t say the same for the rest of the body. It’s not bad, but doesn’t feel organized or doesn’t flow well with each other as much as Mebius. I would place Xenon a little high, but not that high.
Hikari: Once again with my preference of blue Ultraman, I absolutely love Hikari’s suit. I really love the different shades of blue that are divided along the body through great silver lining and overall, Hikari has one of the most unique and best sculpting of any Ultraman, such as the shoulder protrusions and unique head. I also really love the chest piece with the star marks surrounding his color timer, giving off this grand feel and special aura like Zoffy. I would definitely place Hikari very high on my list as he’s one of my personal favorites.
Belial (Rayonix): His early style looks alright, but I want to focus on his Rayonix form. My good, Belial just looks fantastic, fitting all the qualities of an evil Ultraman. The devilish shape of the eyes makes Belial a very different Ultraman for sure and while the red and silver color scheme is good, the black and blood red that Belial has elevates his evil status and honestly just makes him look epic. Once more, Belial is just an amazing suit. One of the best for me.
Saga: Out of all the Ultraman suits, Saga is without a doubt my favorite one of all time. If we want to talk about a super being with god-like powers, the transparent and light up body Saga has along with the crown like head and open energy core are all aspects of Saga that just stands out in a glorious fashion. Once more, my favorite Ultraman suit.
Tregear (Dark): His early style, again, is just alright, but I should focus on his dark form. Like Belial, I really love Tregear’s look. While the heavy armor all across Tregear’s body may look like too much, it just fits together so well as if the different shades of blue, golden details, and very unique sculpt aren’t enough to attract many eyes. Easily one of my favorite Ultraman suits.
Grigio: She’s ok. She isn’t all that great, but she isn’t being really bad. I do think the orange color choice is a unique option and while the silver makes sure the colors aren’t too crazy, I do take her head shape to be in question. I will place her around the middle of the list.
Fun fact :geed's base form only is shown through glimpses when he transforms, this is most obvious when he unlocks his movie form (can't remember the name)

Tiga will always be my favorite base form design until the day that I die cuz everything about it is absolutely perfect in my opinion and then with Dyna being my 2nd favorite and then Mebius being my 3rd 👌🔥

My two favorite Ultraman suits are ginga and fuma because blue is my favorite color and they make two simple designs really work for me
The only Main Ultras you are missing are Scott, Chuck, Beth, Zearth, and Nice. Although you could include Boy but it is really isn't necessary. Also, amazing list and to me Max is definitely in my top 5 because he looks like an angelic warrior with the chest plate and his series is pretty good and I wished he had a final form like the rest of them because he deserves it.
Ginga has my favorite base form design.
It basically blends Showa red and silver while doing its own thing with the glowing blue.
Ginga looks like a super charged ultraman
mine was Titas and whichever ones were with Gaim, ex-aid, Toqger, zhoger, and Kyrangers (which ones were those?)
For a moment, I thought you're going to mention that Victory's V head looks like a pirate hat lol.
My favorite Ultras are Zero, Orb, Geed, and Z, mainly because they all use Legacy form gimmicks. Then again, Zero himself is also Tsuburaya's golden boy, seeing how he keeps on making cameos on New Gen Series all the way to Ultra Galaxy Fight, in which he also gained various exclusive form changes like Zero Beyond and Gran Sabered Zero.
As for the designs, I don't think I have to say much about it since the designs already speak for themselves.
Other than the Ultramen above, I also like Jugglus Juggler so much. He came so far from Orb to Z and his personality has a charm that makes me hard to look away. Then again, him using the Fusion Kaijus would fit in really well with the Ultramen above, if I'm going to assemble an Ultra Hero squad. Can't help but wish he could get an Ultraman form somehow.
Also worth mentioning here is Ultraman Orb Dark (Noir Black Schwartz X'D). Despite being merely a carbon copy of Orb, I really like his personality as a villain and misguided Orb fanboy in the show. And with the parasitic alien Cereza out of the picture, I've always loved to imagine if Makoto Aizen himself became Orb Dark once more to become a true Ultraman for good under the tutelage of Gai Kurenai himself, and perhaps I would make him my Ultra Hero Persona in my New Generation Orb Fanfic setting lmao.

Now that you have sorted thru the different Ultraman suits. You could probably do a review in the Ultra Seven type suits, like Zero, Taro, Taiga, Leo, Max, Justice, Scott, and the new guy Regulos. They have that armor type of design on their shoulders and unique face design different from the original Ultraman.

Fun fact about Gaia's design: The version you're seeing is V2, which isn't just some design change but a legitimate form change albeit permanent and tied to how he get's his Supreme form. Gaia's V1 suit has that black area be red like the rest of the body, but after (Spoiler if you're still unfamiliar to this rather obvious character) gives his powers to Gaia, his guard has permanently changed from red to black along with granting him the ability to transform into Supreme.

For me, my top 3 favourite base forms are Cosmos, Tiga, and Taro.

3:30, Taro will always be my fave. Got to watch them thanks to Malaysian Eng dubs which were then created by HVN productions but the masters themselves were by Tsuburaya Chaiyo. I can see how that quality was really shoddy. Still, Taro's head reminds me of the MMPR Megazord which is really awesome and one I never thought of tbh looking back.
