After a few missed fish, I end up with a truly massive fish on the end of my line. it tows our boat around for a while, and eventually, My incredible Guide Titus and I land the fish.

He’s a really, really over-dramatic version of Ty. Ty can fill 45 minutes battling some prehistoric throwback, whereas Jeremy fills his time fighting the same elements and daylight as Ty, but he has dramatic music, visual effects, etc. as well as helpful crew. “Nigel, give me the gaff and tie me in!” He is quite the guy, but for many of us, I’m sure, we Pig Patrol is the real thing.
It always amazes me how ultra strong this gear is even though it looks flimsy.

What did it spit out? An entire school of yellowfin tuna, a couple of pink dolphins, a caiman, some village children, a schoolbus loaded with a bunch of tourists. That thing outweighed Ty, by several Ty's.

One of my favorite episodes of River Monsters is when Jeremy Wade catches a massive Arapaima on a fly rod after dragging a kayak through the jungle. This reminded me of that episode... awesome.
Wasn't this this fish that hit Jeremy in the chest and gave him an irregular heart rate to this day?💯💯

This guy is catching real-life Lochness monsters. I used to go fishing in Iguazu Falls on the Argentina side where they have canals and catch Pirarucu, I think it's the same fish. I have family in Argentina and go to Iguazu falls to vacation. They have huge catfish too. The best part is the motels are right on the falls and the spring water goes right into the room hot tubs. You can also fish off the balcony. You have to watch out for the ring-tailed lemurs, they try and steal your pole, bait, or whole tackle box, lol.

@@TyPigPatrol It jumped over a net and hit him in the chest head first-cracked his rib. They had them in some kind of enclosure and they were trying to catch them in a sein net- but they would jump over the top of the net every time they closed in on them. You've probably seen it but, jut in case...

@@aidamelendez9835 because if we kept every fish that was caught, there would soon be no more fish. Anglers catch fish for sport, not to eat them. If you are respectful to the fish, it can go back, grow larger and let someone else enjoy the thrill of catching him. Keeping every fish caught is not sustainable. Catch and release is the only way to maintain the sport.

, absolute monsteer fish. Arapaimas are my favouirite fish since a kid when I first saw them on a Series of VHS I had about the amazon rainforest back in the 90s, absolute monsters I hear the largest was 10 ft but they can easily average 6.5 ft which is freaking insane, on those vids I had they actually showed them jumping, they are so amazing

yep, in brazil we call it "pirarucu". he's big but he gets easily tired, there's a big amount of arapaima around here(not always this big, but pretty big usually)

They jump similar to a tarpon, but they dont have anywhere near the energy of tarpon!

We did the same thing in Peru... it took us a half of a day... to get to our lagoon. The water was clear Black water (the bottom was the richest dirt/mud I'd ever touched or saw and it was full of minerals. I was pretty sunburned by the time we got there, so I took off my clothes with only a Speedo on... and dove in. Our indigenous Guides told me that it was 25 foot deep where we were. I went down only 12-15 feet. When I finally surfaced, I could feel the therapeutic effects of that water on my skin. My sunburn didn't even hurt. The real jungle is freaky primal.

When they hit topwater, they make that huge pop when they hit too (the arapaima, that is) Keep on grinding man, its not easy to get started!

And yes its definitely not easy getting started on a channel . Until you do it yourself you wouldn't understand lol its allot of work and dedication. And much more.
