- Hi guys! This is a follow-up to my Keratin vs Japanese Straightening Treatment video here: • Brazilian Keratin vs J... . It's been 6 months since I had the Japanese straightening treatment and I'm back to update you on what my hair looks like. The growth is definitely more noticeable but that's not necessarily bad. I'd say that my hair is still low maintenance as a result of the treatment although it does require some attention if I'm planning on going out. I hope that my hair continues to grow less frizzy but I'll have to get back to you on that in a few more months :)

oh gosh It looks amazing! I have so many questions lol Where did you got it done? Are you considering on doing it again?
Do wear a pony tail everyday. The line looks like very defined in one spot and I was told to be very careful with using certain type holders or I would get that permanent crease.
Hi! I don't wear ponytails for extended periods of time. I do agree that you shouldn't keep one for a long time but mine weren't due to that
I’m wondering if blowdring the roots and use a brush to make it straight or a flatiron would work to prolong you having to touch up with Japanese one. I’m worried bc my hair is crazy all year so keratin I’d have to get 3-4 a year.
Hi! Do you have any regrets getting the treatment? I’m very much considering it. I’ve tried several keratin treatments and they don’t do much.
I don't regret it but getting this treatment wasn't entirely intentional. If I knew a reliable salon who could do a Brazilian keratin well, I'd probably just stick with that 1x a year (during the summer) because my hair is harder to manage only during the warmer months. I miss being able to curl my hair; to me that's the main downside of the Japanese treatment. I'm also not a fan of the re-growth and how, unless you chop off your hair or re-do the treatment, you'll be able to notice 2 different hair textures overtime. If my hair grew slowly I'd be more upset but I think I'll be able to fully outgrow the treatment in another 6 months (if I get a hair trim). My advice is, if you like your natural hair texture or the 'temporary' nature of the keratin treatment, find a reputable salon and give it another shot. If you really don't mind having straight hair for several months and understand that you'll only get your normal hair if you cut it, then go for the Japanese treatment!
You definitely should rock curly hair! Would look so cute on you!!! 😊
Thank you :) I keep trying but this Japanese treatment makes it virtually impossible to really curl it lol but it’s been getting better
My hair looks just like yours now, just longer (almost reaching my elbows). I got a keratin treatment about 7 months ago and now my natural waves are coming back. Would you recommend cutting my hair short, to where the waves get? I miss my natural looking hair.
Hi! It's a personal choice. If you can style your hair and hide the difference in texture that's one option. If you'd like to start fresh, I'd recommend cutting your hair :) At one time I had chopped off my hair (a good 10-12inches) to donate it. Now I just trim the ends because I want to grow it. There's no wrong answer :)
I would love to try this treatment, but I feel like my hair is too thin to pull of straight hair
Hi! My suggestion would be to try the Brazilian keratin treatment first :) it’s not a permanent solution but will give you the opportunity to see what your hair would be like straight
Thank you!
does the straightening treatment work on cowlicks?
Hi! Unfortunately I'm not sure. I'd suggest asking the salon where you plan on getting the treatment done
Hey ! This video was so helpful.
I’ve a question , can I wash my hair after 62 hours instead of 72 hours after getting the gapanese straightening? Thanks in advance ♥️
Hi! Sorry for the delay! If you're doing a Japanese treatment I believe that you don't have to wait. The 72hr period applies for the keratin treatment if I'm not mistaken
Does Japanese straitening treatment damage hair? Contains harsh ingredients?
It potentially has harsh ingredients but my hair looked and felt very healthy. I think it also depends on the health of your hair prior to treatment as well.
First ❤
Wohoooo 🥰
Did it make your hair fall ?
Nope!
Name of the product?
I'm not sure. I just went to the salon
