    Ahh looks so sleek and smooth!! Will be so nice for the humid summer in Japan. I have had a similar hair cut to you for a few years, which is basically the one layer cut and I also found that it could be quite flat looking. (I think I was put off layers after my teenage years of trying to get the perfect emo/scene cut lol!) I would suggest getting some long layers cut into your hair, it did wonders for me and it can really freshen up your hair cut too! :-) Hope you are going well!!

    • @TokidokiTraveller
      @TokidokiTraveller  Před 5 lety

    Japanese straightening perm is not possible here sadly, but I did find a keratine treatment that I hope will help me. Your hair looks so good!!

  • @raraavis7782
    @raraavis7782 Před 5 lety

    I had that done...with a longbob...but the hair started to look dry and frizzy after 2-3 months. After 6 months, when I would have had to repeat the procedure due to regrowth...I ended up cutting it all off.
    Dealing with damaged hair is just too much trouble for me...the whole point was, to make my life easier in everyday life, after all.
    And the hair would not hold a curl at all afterwards. Not with heatstyling and not with a wet set either. So be mindful of that, if you like to play around with different hairstyles.
    All in all, Ali wouldn’t recommend it...but I‘m glad, you’re happy with your results 🙂

      The basics are using products that are sulfate and silicone free. There is a whole community on Facebook and you can search on CZcams ‘curly girl method’ there are more in depth detail for hair type too. I’ve been using this method for 6 months and Im loving it. Ive never had my hair look so curly and healthy ever.

    you should think about getting the curled perm perm , you can choose the type or tightness of the curl plus, you can " review " it as how long it last and whether you'd recommend, that why you can enjoy the wave or curl.

    If you struggle with greasy hair, a great hack is rinsing your hair with water with 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in it (like a 500 mL water bottle). The smell is super disturbing at first but it goes away pretty quickly. Hair is super "crisp" afterwards but not dry (Idk, something about the scalp pH...)

    Its expensive also here in canada. Starting $600 🥺 in Philippines theres a process called hair rebonding very similar to japanese straightening. I do that every year and it only costs me 50$ usually range starts $50 to $150 and you can have it done at famous/luxurious salon in there. It last 1 to 2 yrs also depending on the type of your hair.

    You've mentioned your hair issues before...
    I have over active oil glands, which causes my hair to look oily/greasy part way through the day. I've struggled to find a shampoo that can help, and doesn't cost a fortune.
    I started using "ELVIVE". It's a clay based shampoo, and it does great (for me). Idk if it's something you might want to try, or if it would have the same effect for you, but yeah... Lol
    I order it off Amazon for under $3.

    One good thing about having straight hair is that you can just wash and comb it and dry it a little and it looks fine. The only downside is that there isn't much body so sometimes you have to style it a bit for special occasions.
