    This is a good example of the differences between an analyst and a coach:
    Analyst = looks at past results;
    Coach = recognises and nurtures future possibilities.

    After this interview Ange's life was seriously negatively affected, both in a professional and personal sense. He was really concerned that it would define him and his career and he hit rock bottom. However, despite Foster's inappropriate treatment of Ange, he pulled himself up by his bootstrings, came back even stronger and like the true gentleman that he is, was willing and able to move forward and reconcile with Foster, no hard feelings.
    And this is what we love about Ange, who not only shows us that we can pick our lives up when faced with injustice and adversity, but that it is better to make amends with others instead of holding grudges and hatred. So not only a superb mananger but a brilliant human being and role model!

Even tho the team ange had wasnt performing.. its not ALL up to the coach. the players have to do their part of it too.. which they ddnt do. half the aussie youth are fkn shit & are only there cos their dad has a big wallet.

    i think some people should understand that ange is doing well with brisbane right now primary because he finally got all his coaching licenses
    when he coached the youth teams he had very little qualifications outside of a b license hence why he generally failed every single time
    we need all our coaches studying and getting all their credentials before they coach professionally. thats everything from afc A and B license.

      I watched this interview live. Foster showed he had no understanding of youth development, and how it works and, worst of all, wasn’t interested. Former player and journalist and in practical sporting terms of low IQ. He substantially lost me. Ever since, I’ve analysed what Foster says more closely. Opened my eyes. But it was an interview that got me looking into Ange more. And I followed his progress after that. As a youth coach myself (netball and basketball) I immediately understood where Ange was coming from, and it wasn’t just the scoreboard, where ultimately Foster comes from. 👍

    As much as I appreciate Craig's contribution to the game & his work on SBS, explaining & teaching young players in his analysis of football matches, the fact of the matter is after watching this interview, he is not an Aussie selector therefore has no right to ask or suggest a National team coach to step down, regardless of his knowledge of the game. Thats what sports codes have selectors for! I personally saw it as a personal attack & Ange should get an apology from Foz, if he has any class

Even now, the players produced by the A-League clubs don't seem to be of the overall quality of the likes of what was produced/groomed by the likes of Melbourne Croatia (Viduka, Simunic, Culina, Tiatto), Sydney Croatia (Bosnich, Zelic, Cahill, Kalac, Slater, Jedinak, Popovic) and Marconi (Schwarzer, Kewell, Okon, Farina, Vieri).

We need more of it.
