Bro, I totally understand why Cory is salty about Chito getting this shot and looking like he looked in that fight. It was like he was put in place there to make Sean look great. There was a fully justified reason for the match up. Cory was injured. Merab had a fight booked against yan. Chito had beaten sean once. It made sense.
@@spoonman44 Merab vs Yan took place before O'Malley fought Sterling, O'Malley vs Vera was booked really early to give O'Malley a free title defense. The UFC let Chito Vera skip over Merab and Cory because he is the easiest fight in ranked top 5 bantamweights.
Sean was always gonna win that fight but to win the way he won was just ridiculous, chito might not be champ or top 5 material but he’s still an elite fighter, so for Sean to freeze him up like that and keep that pace for 5 rounds is insane

This is the most ridiculous comment I’ve ever seen. Do you ever think maybe Sean is that good and he makes his opponents look that bad? If you look at all of Sean’s opponents, the majority of them, he finishes them within the first and second round because he is that good. Chito lasted five rounds and yes he got an ass whooping, but that’s because he’s unbelievably tough and Sean couldn’t put him away. If all the other fighters were as toughest Chito, I guarantee you the fights would look exactly the same. Chito is still an elite fighter, but Sean is just a miles away from him and a whole another level. Give credit where credit is due.

Sandhagen and O'Malley would be a hell of a fight. You know a guy is grounded when he gives a legitimate review of the Champs work. It was impressive what O'Malley did. A lesser man would have found fault with it. Sandhagen clearly understands O'Malley's awkward style much better than Chito ever did. I've always only seen O'Malley talk positively about Sandhagen's style, so clearly there would be a respect there and a real chess match. Probably a bloody chess match, but a chess match nonetheless.

@@sneak916Grapplers and wrestlers are O’Malley’s least threat, he smokes any wrestler in that division. Its strikers like yan and Cory who can strike with O’Malley and be able to get close enough to wrestle.
Wrestlers can’t strike with O’Malley therefore they are left chasing him and having to lunge into strikes, also O’Malley’s lateral movements makes it difficult to grab him or push him against the fence.

Man Ive been saying this whole time that Chito got lucky that first fight. Now I love Chito as a person, he is one of my favorite personalities in the whole promotion. Genuine guy, family man, open minded, spiritual, funny, good on the commentator mic. He is going to lose to Sean 9 times out of 10 though. Sean said after the first fight "he felt slow, I know I can beat him" and he wasnt wrong. The whole refusing to take the L was annoying but he is on a completely different level than Chito. It was obvious the whole time and people still acted like you couldnt tell just by watching the way each of them fights.
How did they not offer Chito the option to try and take Sean down at least once in the 25 minutes?? He had Rafa mendes in his corner and not a whisper from Parillo for a takedown???

Stylistically the fights that should have been made were: Cory vs O Malley, Merab vs Umar (title eliminator), and Chito Vera vs Petr Yan but we know there were a few reasons they made this fight, specifically because he was the only one to beat him (officially)
