I think Joe realized that so he was totally intrigued and really liked Cory bc of it, and who can blame him bc Sandman is a fascinating guy!! I dont think I've seen Joe that happy and engaged with anyone who wasnt a close buddy of his in a long, long time

Cory's self awareness of his emotions and how to handle them are why he's one of the most fluid strikers/fighters in UFC. Dude doesn't half ass it. He puts in the work it takes to be present and dialled in. Izzy is the same. He puts the work in to overcome the fear of stuff in fights so he can be lucid and see everything to be able to take risks in the pocket and have them pay off. Awesome to hear this stuff

This makes so much sense. I was rooting for Chito and to see how thoroughly Sandhagen beat him was kind of tough to take but it was obvious that he was on another level that night. Props to him for sharing his approach to the game. People don't often realize that the same approach will only work for you during a short stage in life, no matter what it is you do, so a lot of time is spent trying to recapture something that probably isn't going to work again because you're a different person now. It's a mind ef when you're living it

Sandhagen described the exact feeling I get from a deep adrenaline rush... like when there is an emergency or a bad injury I become really calm and extremely confident in my decision making... I often take authority of the situation and ppl just start obeying my directions. Its happened multiple times to me, and after awhile I started to notice it in the moment, and would often ask myself like "who tf is this guy?" I wish I could be in that state of mind all of the time. I can only imagine how great that would feel amidst a UFC top contender fight.

Cory fought an amazing fight. But Rogan is wrong saying no brakes, 100% onslaught all 5 rounds. IMO Cory clearly slowed down and was slightly less aggressive, taking a little bit less chances after he dominated the first two rounds - knowing he was going to win on the cards.
Would have been interesting to hear Rogan ask him about that.
That was a very smart strategic move by Cory against a powerful dangerous Vera who gets rolling as fight continues.

I'm glad Corey won, but it was a SPLIT DECISION according to the judges, which is beyond ridiculous. For a second, when the scorecards were being read, I said out loud, "wow, they are about to rob this man of a clear, dominant win." Thankfully it didn't happen, but my heart dropped into the pit of my stomach when the second judge gave the fight to Chito 48-47.

@ReppeNThA707 For real. I can see how Chito won one round, MAYBE. But the judge that gave Chito 3 rounds was either completely blind, or was paid for fabricating that score.
