so next Q&A is tomorrow. Sweet.
in what round are you going to knock Sugar Sean out?
Unfortunately I don't think he fights O'malley. I think Chito beats O'malley, Merab beats Cejudo, Merab then beats Chito for title, and Cory has to fight Merab for title
You really think chito beats suga? How that
@@rooibosvanille862peroneal nerve kick
@@windytv7511As if you can just land that and shut someone’s leg off whenever because it happened one time😂
@@rooibosvanille862 well it can't just be forgotten that chito has already beat o'malley. I think this handpicked matchup will backfire for the UFC just like it did for Adesanya-Strickland
a true professional and profound teacher, much respect to you champ
Half the shit he "teaches" comes from my channel.
Are you trying to take the NMF title from Wonderboy!? I was watching this and my wife was like “this guy is the sweetest and nicest fighter ive ever seen!” You’ve got a new fan buddy bro
Philadelphia loves Sandhagen
What was your toughest moment/ mental battle in your carreer so far?
You should definitely pin a comment with time stamps that document each question asked so that you aren't constantly answering each question every 10k subs. Especially with how much care and thoughtfulness you put into each question. Thanks for the work as always Cory, hope to see you fighting soon 100%
Done!
03:25 I train, actually six days a week. Five days a week I’ll train three days a week. One of those days I’ll train two days of the week. So, six days a week I’ll be training.
How do you schedule your training(Strength and Conditioning, road work, striking, etc),do you train bjj and wrestling seperately or do you train grappling as a whole? What should someone that doesn't more than 2 hours to train per day do to REALLY elevate their skills and conditioning?
Telling my coaches that future UFC champ Cory Sandhagen told me I can smoke crack, thanks 🙏
glad you hit 50k and that quick. Shows how awesome your content is.
Well fookin done man. Congrats on 50,000 and hope ya get millions more.
This one's pretty broad, so feel free to focus in on any aspect that's interesting. Can you explain why boxing looks so different from MMA striking? For example you see even good strikers like Petr Yan or Volkanovski stepping through on their strikes, which seems a lot less prevalent in boxing. There's also a lot more stance switching, it seems like far less combos thrown in MMA, etc. Interested in hearing your perspective on the causes of these differences.
Kicks, take downs
can't wait to see you come back
congrats
Hell yeah congrats for the 50k man! Well earned you post great content.
Congrats
i love how sandhagen unsandbagged his career

Love your content man, great technical breakdowns, super easy to understand. What point in your fighting career did you choose your style & what was the process of building it like?
Youre actually the best

Your amazing Cory. My favorite fighter and your an inspiration! Wanted to know what your favorite striking move is? Keep doing your thing future champ!
Future champ 💪
All the best from my son and I. He just turned 15 and been wrestling and training mma for 2 years now. Huge inspiration to him and also me. All the best.
Thanks a lot for your videos! Great stuff! What is your thought process when fighting (thinking about set ups? Thinking about your opponents openings? Thinking about where your opponent is hitting and how to adjust? Etc…). And how actively are you actually thinking vs just letting your muscles memory and your reflexes do the work? Thanks again!
Future champ right here
What kind of road work should I be doing outside of training to keep myself up to speed? You're the man Cory, huge inspiration to me and many more!
Sandman. I mustache you a question.
I wish we were getting to see you vs O'malley. The both of you are respectfully my favorite MMA fighters. Not just good striking but high fight IQ, insane ability, able to get into flow states, diverse MMA versatility. I really enjoy watching you both compete. Stay awesome 👍🏼 You destroyed Chito. You deserve a title shot.
A video on how and why to shadow box would be cool 🤙
Cory when did you lose your virginity lmao save this for another q&a
Lovely, I certainly will! Thank you all!
Cory, big fan here. Can u provide insight on how to time different kinds of elbows when ur in different positions?
Hi Cory!
1) What current wmma fighters are you most impressed by right now?
2) What're some of your favorite movies / tv shows / books
hey cory, love you as a human and the content you put out in the world. been binging your channel and was wondering if we could get some round by round breakdowns of your past fights from as early as you want to start, would love to hear what you were thinking or why you have certain footwork, reads you picked up on, tendencies you try to avoid or use to your advantage, etc. would just love to hear your mind go into depth on your fights all the way through each round, much love from maryland 🤙🏻
Great idea!
Your instructionals are so good you might teach Chito how to beat Sean 🤣🤣
1.What does your mindset look like going into fight week and fight day, how do you make adjustments if you are not in the right space?

“If you wanna smoke crack, smoke crack too” - Cory Sandhagen
whats the story of your back tattoo and what was the inspiration for it? Did you get addicted to tattoos when you got your first one? thanks for the videos cory!
Your editor is a champ 😂😂
Bro you're actually the man so I would diffinietly ask my questions about fight game
How do you land your flying knees on Edgar / Yan /TJ .. calf kick vs Leg kick set ups as far as distance
Watched your answer about the short kings strategies to close distance. How about if you have to deal with their kicks or elbows or knees?
Hey Cory huge fan! I want to do one amateur fight, then stop training, just to know if I have it in me to get in a cage and fight while I’m young. How long should I train before my first/only fight?
Hey Cory - can you please breakdown body shots? You're known for them and I'd like to know how to get in to land them effectively as a longer fighter, specifically throwing a naked lead body hook.
Hey cory, what are some drills i can do at home to improve my overall striking
Would you rather have supreme grappling or supreme striking?
Can you demo, explain, and teach Alex Pereira's lowkick? THANKYOU!!!
when do you think backing up is best as a pressure fighter versus when to stay on them and counter?
Damn, he's almost at 60k as this is published, lol. Sidenote: Am I the only one who finds it a little strange that he wants the questions to be predominately about technique when it's a pretty safe bet that the majority of subscribers aren't fighters?
Nah Im pretty sure most are
@@mcdonalchee I find that hard to believe. The content is built around technique, but a ton of people will follow because they're a fan (like any other channel).
how to improve endurance when power punching? im fast as fuck when countering but im not hitting hard i think myself that i can hit harder some tips?when you want to pack a good nuke to the opps how u do it in terms of body mechanics you tense up at last moment your whole boy or your hand or core etc...
All my homies love the Sandman
What recommendations do you have for improving your striking when training solo with a kicking/punching bag
10k in 2 weeks man, jus wait till you hit 100 you’ll get 50 within the month
What are some secrets to fighting your rangey/movey-guy style? I'm similar and am still working on staying long. Besides using the jab/teep to build off of, what other tips do you have for taking advantage of our style?
💪🏻
What are your opinions on the "constant shooting" style of wrestling in MMA, where you use shoot even "bad" shots just to force wrestling activity where you have a technical and cardio advantage - vs the more traditional, measured, "waiting for good openings" style of wrestling? What should one consider when deciding which style is best for them, and what are your thoughts on the respective metas?
What gear would you recommend investing in for practicing techniques at home? What style or brand of bag for striking? There are so many options and a lot of them are expensive!
Just watched your interview on Ariels show, really great insight. I was wondering what caused you to move away from religion? I have no religion myself so this isn't a loaded question or owt, was just wondering the thought process in you making such a decision. Only just subscribed so looking forward to checking out your content!
What led to your sudden increase in social media presence? Years ago when you only had a twitter that didn’t get used and you were still flying under the radar I knew a little more internet engagement would put you over the top and give fans like myself more insight into their favorite fighter.
I think he's preparing for the future when he stops competing.
Tips on keeping control of someone on the ground?
I heard something from john danaher about how bjj practitioners struggle with wrestling, leg subs (not as much anymore) and grappling to the feet. What do you do to quell those issues?
Lol 60k might be tomorrow. Might want to do next one at 100k.
What is the best mindset to be in for your first amateur MMA/combat sport bout?
Do you perfer to shoot for takedowns when your in the middle of the mat or up against the cage? Can u elaborate on pros and cons?
Can you go over your tattoos brother 🙏🙏🙏
cory, what are some financial tips you have for a young fighter? need the nitty gritty advice you have for bills and a job and shi (edit: and how that all works in to training) thanks cory fucking love your fighting style
Part time and try and find ones where u can just do whenever u want
Hey Mr. Sandhagen, wht dont you walkout to Enter Sandman.
It perfectlt fits your persona.
What are some good footwork drills, conditioning wise?
You've mentioned that you also coach amateur fighters alongside your own training. Can you go into a little more detail on this?
What are the best exercises for combat sports
Any advice for moving around your opponent to make angles?
What are some more uncommon tools you utilize while training to hone in your technique?
What's your favorite bait to either do yourself or that you've seen a clear example of?
Is it bad to have two fighting stances? Say my orthodox stance is more muay thai oriented for striking but my southpaw stance is more boxer mma style?
Hey Cory, what techniques do you think are widely taught that are ineffective and what techniques or concepts would you recommend focusing on the most for both striking and grappling?
Great question. Next one for sure!
I believe the next time you get a crack at the title. You will be fighting O'Malley and you will win. However much like Moreno & Figurado. The rest of the division is going to be held up because you're going to drop it back to him in the rematch. You two are going to go on to have three or more of the most technical striking & elite strategic grappling these fans will ever witness! Mark My Words!
How do you improve your defense? Sometimes I feel like I get popped by things I shouldn’t be getting hit by
Is there any merit to catching strikes with the point of your elbow? For example your opponent likes to dart in with a jab, can you meet the fist with the tip of your elbow to hurt his hand?
How important do you think film study is to improving technique as a fighter?
Do you have any experience with bad coaches or training partner?
Is it okay to sometimes dread training or are you someone who’s always looking forward to it?
If yall could have any UFC fighter as a personal coach, who would it be?
Hey Cory big fan! Any use for leg entanglements (Ashi, 50/50, etc.) in MMA, or are they not even worth learning?
Im not an expert but it’s always beneficial to be as diverse as possible and be dangerous from all areas, so yes
lesssgooo
In terms of actually quality during your training sessions, what are you actually doing during those 3-4 hour sessions?
How do you train bad habits out of you? I feel like when I get tired I go back to my old bad habits when sparring
Ways to cross the distance safely, and exit safely?
For those of us 40+ trying to fight amateur only, what techniques offense and defense would you recommend working on that aren't reliant on athleticism and reaction time?
Will you hold off for the winner of Sean O’Malley and Chito Vera? We all hope you do. You deserve it especially because you always are willing to fight anybody. Chito also said he would ask for you to be his first defense, plus we all wanna see you fight O’Malley too, so either matchup would be a winner for any fan of yours. I see you beating both of them.
Which weightlifting exercises are most beneficial for mma ?
They call him Cory "Chinese Carbon Emissions" Sandhagen
What are the most effective ways to close the distance without getting hit by a longer opponent ?
Do you sleep in between sessions to rest, or do you only sleep at night?
