First of foremost their commercial presentation lakced substance and was less than clear how thet fund a min 5 year of operations when they were complaining non stop abut $200M entry fee which is now over $500M based on actual team profits and valuations. Andretti's biggest mistake? airing it out in public and blasting the team principals who have invested billions with a B in doing so burned his bridges with the same team principals that ultimately do have a vote. Gunther has made a solid bid, has massive backing to the point money is not even a disucssion point-he built Hass from an empty warehouse and it was Gene Haas who tried to do all of it on the cheap-bottom line Gunther gets it done and a formality for team principla approvals

I like Gunther but I wouldn't consider him a brilliant Team Principal. He tries VERY hard but most of the time he seemed lost and more concerned about calling people Wankers for Netflix. Great publicity for the sport but not so great for getting points on the board and Gunther had PLENTY of time. I wish him well but I wouldn't rehire him if I were in a position to decide.

So far, Full ownership is better than any agreements (eg Mercedes / Williams arrangement)

The problem with F1 is Liberty media. Since they took control of the sport, f1 has gotten worse, and now they're talking about a new concord agreement to limit the sport to 10 teams? It's all part of the good old boy system to prevent anyone new from coming into f1 even though they have the funds and the backing to join the sport. It's absolutely ridiculous! Liberty media is on a quest to alienate the real true fans of f1 and target the sport towards rich people. If things keep going the way they are, f1 will lose the American market and fan base and support regardless of the Netflix series. American fans are in full support of having an American team team on the grid, but f1, Liberty media and FOM are hell bent to prevent that from happening by not letting Andretti Motorsport join.
