    SUMMARY
    - Studies show (and that might sound shocking) that sugar is actually more addictive than cocaine! Lab rats were given cocaine until they became addicted to it.
    - Sugar is often linked to the development of numerous lung conditions, so lowering sugar intake results in weakening asthma symptoms.
    - Studies have shown that sugar hinders such activities as learning and memorizing things.
    - A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition suggests that giving up sugar may result in your acne disappearing. Sugar is inflammatory, and inflammation is known as a cause of acne.
    - People who eat too much sugar have a much higher risk of having a heart attack.
    - High sugar intake raises levels of bad cholesterol and blood fats that can clog your blood vessels, leading to severe heart conditions that can be a huge threat to your life.
    - Studies found that people, who eat very little sugar or none at all, are rarely diagnosed with depression.
    - You will be very active throughout the day and ready to sleep when the bedtime comes. Your day/night cycle will be more naturally balanced.
    - When you eat too much glucose, high insulin resistance develops. It means that sugar can’t get into your cells and can get stuck in the bloodstream.
    - Pancreatic cancer is often linked to high sugar intake. However, the results of the studies haven’t been entirely consistent; it’s better not to take the risk on this one.
    - Sugar also affects the health of your eyes. Fluctuations of insulin and glucose levels lead to vessel damage and decrease blood supply to your eyes.
    - When you eat a lot of sugar, especially fructose, you are very likely to overeat. The pancreas is forced to produce more insulin, so other hormones that regulate metabolism, digestion, and weight are neglected.
    - Your immune system is seriously affected by consumption of large amounts of sugar. You are protected from bacteria and viruses by white blood cells.
    - Stop eating sugar and spending money on doctors, dentists, those expensive acne concealers and sweet food and drinks that only harm you.

In my experience , I had a huge addiction to sugar !
But how did i stop ?
For those who have sweet tooth like me , try to replace all the suger you used to eat with an apple or a banana .
Those two food items will keep you full and they're way more healthy to you & your body.
And here's a trick that helped me , EVERY SINGLE TIME I thought about the word sugar i drank a glass of water and immediatly somehow i became full so i stopped craving food & had an excuse to drink water even more !
Hope I helped you dear reader of this comment ❤

I dropped sugar from my diet last year, at age 58 I lost 70 lbs in only 3 months. I went from 260 to 190 lbs. the first week was hard, suffered from headaches and feeling crazy all over. But it passed quickly and after I felt 20 years younger. I recommend it to anyone wanting to feel better.
If u look back at history there was no widespread weight issues prior to the invent of processed sugar. And after only the very wealthy had weight problems due to they were the only ones that could afford sugar.
Please try it u will not regret it.

I've stopped eating sugar since late January and the changes are huge. Although yes I did have sugar on special occasions and sometimes when I ate out with friends, I have mostly quit it. Today I wore some shorts that last time I wore them in December 2016, I could remember them bulging between my thighs, and being so tight. And I wasn't at all 'big' I was a healthy size. Today when I wore them they were so loose! All most too loose! I have also become happier and more organised. I've also really started to appreciate the world around me and my grades have improved at school! It's hard first, but once you get used to it you feel so good! You have to do it!

I stopped eating sugar (mostly) years before watching this video. I can tell you that everything it mentioned is TRUE. The best benefits for me is the normal sleep pattern/ better sleep, more energy/productivity, easier to feel happiness, clearer skin.
I will tell you that for the first week it is not easy! The first 2-3 days I feel anxious, headachey, somewhat jittery, couldn't keep my mind off of sugar and wanting to eat something sweet. Like a true addict. Day 3-5 i felt cranky, moody, depressed, low energy... but also beginning to lose the craving for sugar. Just melancholy. Around day 6 & 7 i got a nose bleed which I know is from giving up the sugar because the brain had a week to recover and now the remnants of whatever damage was being caused is flushing itself out. That's not the exact medical explanation but my doctor told me something like that after I also got nose bleeds a week after giving up caffeine. It is the final stage of giving up the addiction. Though my nose bled on that day, I was feeling much better all around. By day 8-9 it was like i was a brand new person. Everything in general was just better and it's the best thing you can do for your well-being... coming off of the sugar/caffeine trance. Now remember I said "mostly". I'm not crazy.... i still eat some things here now there that contain a little sugar like ketchup, things that contain very little sugar that are almost unavoidable in everyday life. I basucally try to keep it below 10-15 grams per day. (5 grams in a packet of ketchup) This is hardly anything & won't effect you much at all. What I'm saying is i dont eat anything more than that.. no sweets, sodas, desserts, etc. That'll make all the difference. If you are planning to give up sugar my advice is just get through the first week! Deal with it! You'll be glad u did!

Looking back, my year was hectic and sugar only added to my stress and anxiety. I have a history of heart problems, and in 2017, I had virtually no symptoms, however in 2018, I often had chest pain. Coincidence? I think not. I am returning to my sugar free lifestyle as life without sugar is 10000000000000x better!! It may be hard, but the results are amazing!!

Yes I tried once. It was really horrible. For twelve days I felt like dehydrated, weak, continuous mild headache, lazy, raised levels of carving for sugar, over temptation for sugar intake. After thirteen days I started feeling better. My skin felt fresh. I don't know about bad breath but I started sleeping only for 5 hours. Especially I started running in the morning double the time with less stress on heart. Actually I felt weightless. I didn't dropped my weight much but it made me feel active. I always used to sleep sleep sleep to watch TV, using phone, operating pc. But I started sitting for long hours without pressure on my heavily fatty stomach, without strain on my back, without yawning all the day.
One thing for sure IF YOU DARE TO FACE THE FIRST TWO WEEKS TORTURE TO COME OUT OF SUGAR, I CAN SAY YOU WILL ENJOY A BRIGHT LIFE AFTER TWO WEEKS.

I've been 2 months avoiding sugar as much as possible. The biggest problem was spotting the hidden sugar added to processed foods. I had to read the labels very closely and I discovered that foods I thought were "healthy" weren't that way. Even Yogurt has sugar added to it. I went from major joint pains and unable to walk to no joint pains and walking as much as I want. I no longer snack all the time and have lost 30 pounds. Avoiding processed food and sugar made a big difference for me.

Heya hopefully my experience will help someone and maybe I can find someone in my current situation...
I stopped eating sugar almost three years ago. The transition was slow at first. I was used to eat some desert every single day, a really unhealthy habit but my body was so used to it that if I didn’t consume some sugar, I will feel extremely fatigued (kinda like when people depend on caffeine).
At first I stopped eating processed sugar (cakes, cookies, other) and swapped it for natural sugar (bananas for example). This helped me a lot, I would even consume 3 bananas per day just to get that energy I needed.
With time I kinda grew tired of the taste of sweet that fruits were providing me. After months of evading it I had some cravings for some sugar again so I decided to eat some cake for a change but... I would literally get sick for taking just a tiny piece of cake. It was the most disgusting thing ever. Like... did I really like this? It’s horrible. After a while I would have a horrible headache that would only disappear drinking lots of water. I literally now CAN’T consume sugar (I tried lots of times for half a year and Can’t) even though sometimes I miss the taste... The energy I get doesn’t come from “quick energy refillers” anymore.
Actually, this proves people can live without it, maybe even we were meant to There are literally no benefits for continuing a sugar based lifestlyle (honestly can you imagine the money you can save by buying all those sweets?? I’m immune to all the marketing now 😎)

In 2005 I got SARS. I have never been more sick in my life. I seriously thought that I was going to die. I lost 30 pounds in 3 days, and had a hallucinogenic 103° fever for all 3 of those days. I wasn’t able to eat anything for another week, then light bland food for another 10 days. I obviously had the weight to lose, but it still came off from the week of nothing and lost another 10 pounds. I had a large iced coffee everyday made light and sweet, roughly 7 teaspoons and cream and I am lactose intolerant (which I never knew, I always have had stomach problems). I went for my usual iced coffee and drove away. I got one sip in and it was revolting. It felt like a bag of sugar, so I kept cutting it down. Finally I really was only happy with black, which was unthinkable a few weeks before. I couldn’t tolerate anything sweet and I continued to lose weight. I without realizing was consuming 1000 calories a day and large amounts of water. So about 7 months later I weighed 97 pounds less and have kept most of it off. I guess I was scaring friends and family because I got to a “too skinny” size, I just saw it as an impossible task that I was surprising myself with achieving and couldn’t believe that I got to the top of that mountain that I hoped for and never would imagine I could or would get to. It’s still off after 12 years, but I put 20 of it back on, but by choice this time!

I figured it was because I ate sugar to fill me up so I had to replace that with healthy food. It definitely became easier as the days went by. The temptations were extremely hard to stay away from especially when my entire family was eating dessert in front of me. It is hard to give up sugar completely because almost every food is loaded with grams of sugar. Giving up something you like is difficult. I remember when I quit soda. I had massive headache for a month because of the caffeine addiction I assume, but I don't miss it. I had a can of coke after 2 years and honestly the taste was way to strong for me to handle and I didn't like the taste either. I couldn't even finish a can anymore. when I was 10 I used to drink a whole liter bottle. I was shocked I couldn't even finish a can. I came a long way from giving up on a terrible addiction. I try every day to consume less sugar possible but like I said everything has grams of sugar. I try my best to buy products with less sugar and fast (Islamic fast from sun rise to sun set) 2 days a week. I also gave up beef (cow meat only) to help with prevention from uric acid build up. I don't have gout or anything but the human body can survive just fine without beef and fasting couple days a week. I am trying new ways to help improve my body, mind, heart, and soul.

I’m doing it for one month cause my teeth are starting to form cavities, right now i’m on day 5 and the urges have start to hit Already! Won’t give up tho! I also wake up and go outside as the sun rises to make myself have more energy for the day.
