Here's another tip if the fuse IS NOT BLOWN, I drive a 2012 Silverado hd2500 Z71 LT model. Abs on, traction control/stabilatrak on. Returned from 4th of July camping trip pulling RV. THIS WAS NOT THE PROBLEM, wait for it, wait for it, KITTENS climbed onto the wheel and tire and as it passed by the abs sensor it was disconnected. I tried the fuse, disconnected the negative on battery nothing. I went out and jiggled the right side front abs connection and that solved the issue! Thanks for posting this video, sometimes MOTIVATION from others helps us seek.
That wad it !!!! I shook the wire around and that was it !! Haha fucking amazing, my outside cats probably like to crawl in there I guess, I mean, I've seen them do it quite often. Thanks for the tip!!
@@soranpanahi1990 Sometimes in life it's the simple things that make us laugh and feel genuine relief it's not major. Take care and God bless.
I will forever be grateful to you sir. This absolutely turned off this exact lights on my 2011 Z71.Thanks again
Can’t tell you how thankful I am for your video. The scenario in this video was exactly my situation (hauled a trailer). The #9 fuse was exactly my problem. Thank you Sir.
The easiest, simplest, and quickest fix I've ever seen out of all of the videos on the tube. Thank you!
I had change all abs sensors and the lights were still on. Did the fuse replacement and my truck no longer looks like a Christmas tree. Thank you my friend!
Can't believe how easy the fix was! thx
I hooked up my 5x8 trailer w/flat 4 connectors and this started on my 2017 gmc sierra that I bought just a week ago. Can't believe I found this video - thanks
Thank you Sir .. I am on a fixed income, and my mind went into full panic mode .. My fuse wasn't blown but I replaced anyway .. No more problems
I will note the trailer I was towing was 2 days prior. Got up took my son 1/2 mile to bus stop, made a sharp u turn parked and the dash lit up
I have a 2017. Was towing a trailer and noticed an ABS feeling in my brakes. Took trailer off, still noticed it. Pulled into my driveway and I got a stabilitracks notification with abs and traction control on. Havnt had this issue before. Definitely gonna check out the fuse!
Thanks, No wheels taken off. This began one morning as a message that read “possible slippery road ahead.” Now it is the stability traction needs servicing. I will work on this tomorrow and will update you. Thanks for your help.
Did you ever figure it out?
That absolutely was NOT the problem, but thank you for the attempt. Still appreciate your time.
Wow...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!...
this happen to my chevy after hauling a trailer that i rented at uhaul.
And been hesitant to bring it to the dealership.
I will definitely check this out. Hoping this will fix the problem.
Of all the feedback i got, no one has told me to check on these simple steps.
Thank you again.
Thanks you the man!! This started happening right after I plugged in a POS old dolly from U-Haul. You saved me a headache lol.
perfect,,,, thanks for watching
Awesome advice. Worked like a charm.. Will be back for more help in the future. Will send everyone your way.
sweet. thanks for watching!
Thank you. It works. I did not even change the fuse, just sanded off some oxidation on the contacts.
Saving lives out here. My fuse was not burnt out, but taking it out and putting it back fixed it all
Listening to this on my way home and sounds exactly what mine is doing . I replaced my trailer fuse left side other day to get lights working. Hopefully this tip will solve it. 🤞
Thanks!!! Worked like a charm. I did just have a trailer issue. Turns out that was the culprit.
Thank you very much sir. I only had the stabilitrak service traction control light on, no abs or check engine light. I changed spark plugs and wires, cleaned the throttle body, added a new ground wire, cleaned the ABS sensors, and Tie rods. The service traction control light would still turn on. After seeing your video, I changed and #9 fuse.
This fixed the abs module on my customer rig. I ran it in the air to listen to the diff and it set a fault for the LF sensor. I clearedthe fault but the light was still on. Removed and reinstalled the fuse(fuse obviously still good) light out now. Thanks
Unbelievable.....soooo simple & cheap fix......thanks
Mine did this earlier today. I jiggled the wiring connection at the front left wheel hub and it fixed it. So far so good
bad connection, nice find . thanks for watching
best and easiest fix -- it worked!!
You are have been the most useful source yet thank you
Changed my brake booster. ABS, Brake, Stabilitrak, and Traction Control lit up like Christmas. Changed the fuse, did the trick. However, upon acceleration, they came back on again. Going to check the fuses, fuse box, and add to this video just in case. DIY sometimes can be costly. Don't forget to disconnect your battery, GM vehicles are prolonged to popping fuses when wires ground.
We were literally on the side of the road and this just saved us 😂
So what's funny about it then?

Exactly my problem with my Avalanche. Thanks!
Just had to have my bed removed to repair cargo strap damage, when I picked up the truck these lights are on! I'm furious! I'll try this tonight! Had the truck in Chevy just this year with traction issues, a week and $700 later... Hope this is all it is!!
It's work I couldn't believe it . I took the number 9 out and put back in and it worked.thanks
liked the video so much, I listened to the whole commercial at the end.
Thank you! Quick easy fix!~
This saved me a lot of money. Thanks.
Thanks for the video! Great Help 👍
Saved me hours of diagnosing !!
For the win, You are the Man! Thank you for making the Video this was driving me crazy lol
You are awesome !!!!!! Solved my issue
Dealership charges 170$ to look at , then if you decide to fix there, they use that money as part of total cost. It ended up being 1 and 3 trailer stop left and right side that caused same problem but you put me in the right direction with your straight up common sense video! Thanks made my day!
Hey, the dealership has to rob people so they can buy sports and racing teams! Don’t be so harsh on them!
The news crews need to do more exposes/sting operations on them, but ooooops, they can’t, they’re in bed with them when they accept their advertising money!
Thank you so much replacing the fuse worked for me
Just saved me! Thanks a bunch!
Thanks you saved me some money.😁
Thanks bro! Great video great explanation 👍
Thanks.... my fuse wasnt burnt but unplugging and replugging did the trick ... thanks for the quick stress relief Video .. 👍👍👍
Sis it stay put or come back
Thanks!!!....Such a Quick Fix, for Something So Hard to Locate!!!......I Have a 99 Buick Park Av. and My Lights come on, and Off??...At various times...but I Will Check this fuse!!

It worked for me, thanks Man
perfect, thanks for watching.
You're awesome dude!
It’s my auto glass truck it’s always been good to me it’s always gotten me to all my jobs without any issues, it still gets me to my jobs but now it’s having issues with these damn lights coming on every morning I really don’t have time to mess with it im to busy making money, Im going to have to break down & buy a second truck for a backup, I have my 91 Chevy G20 van but it’s to nice to work out of
My ABS, Brake and Stabilitrak lights all were on along with the annoying ding ding ding every minute and I remembered that it all started after my ‘Washer fluid level low’ light also came on. I added washer fluid and voila, no more annoying lights on the dashboard.
Thank you my friend easy nice explain
thanks for watching.
Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!
you got it, thanks for watching.
Thank you. It worked!
Thanks dude my friend has same issue =subscribed thumb ☝
This helped greatly
Yes, truck shaking at idle and low speed and traction control light on. Plugged in my trailer!!
Thanks man this worked for me! But my fuse wasn't blown, I just put the old one back in, not sure of that's what you did or not. But oh well, thanks!
I did exactly what you did and it worked for me as well 👍🏽
Cool explanation and exactly my cause and fix, thanks.
perfect, thanks for watching.
Had this issue for about a year and never could figure it out. The last time I pulled a trailer my brake lights were out on it because of a blown fuse. Gonna give this a try tomorrow
perfect, thanks for watching.
Did it work?
@@toddforslund3571 it did!
I have not plugged in a trailer !
BUT you said WIERD idle or vibration !
Rough idle !!!-THEN light came on 5 minutes later ! Will check fuse !
Hope it solves it !!
THANKS
Your the best god bless you 😊
Thank you sir! Awesome, thank you for the help.
Dang. I was really hoping this would fix mine. I've got a 2011 Avalanche, and it just started this yesterday. Not losing any of the abilities, but the lights and dinging is annoying. Fuse is fine.
Did you ever find out what it was ive been having the same proplem
Hello, how you fix it ?? Please tell me I have the same problem
Does this work for impala and do you have to replace the fuse with a new one or just put it in and out?
Hi. I read through all of the comments and will try the abs fuse. I was in a fast food drive through, turned truck off so they could hear me and it wouldn't start for 10 minutes (worse nightmare at a drive through:). I just let it sit, then it started. Then came the service stablizer warning and the engine light. It is starting but when you put it into gear (lost the underline on the gear display too) it makes a clunk noise, a chirping sound in front dash, transmission does not want to turn over easily when driving. Took it to mechanic and nothing would come up on their diagnostics...seriously? It didn't want to go into reverse for a few minutes yesterday. Would an ABS sensor be causing all of this? Don't want to take it to dealer even though I have an extended warranty on eng/trans because from past experience they tried to charge me to fix a DEF issue when there was a "warning" out not to. Mechanic said he would drive it unless warning lights start flashing...uhhh, a little concerned about that! He can't get to it until Monday. This truck is a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD diesel and doesn't even have 50k miles on it. I have not towed anything in quite a while with it. I will take it to Auto Zone and see if they can come up with any codes....I was told they can check specifically for ABS system errors. Thank yoiu!
Thomas Brian happy new year
Tutorial great thank you 👏 👌

WILL THIS CLEAR THE SERVICE STAB SYSTEM MESSAGE? THIS JUST POPPED UP ON MY COLORADO YESTERDAY. NEVER HAD A TRAILER OR ANYTHING HOOKED UP TO IT. SRY FOR ALL CAPS
Thanks for the video - it solved our problem. However, our fuse must have been loose...we just took it out and reinserted. Must have been a ghost in the machine!
perfect, thanks for watching!
Michele Johnson thanks
hell yeah that was best so for simple and quick
thanks man 🙌🙏
I have a 14 silverado and my abs and service stabilitrak just came on out of nowhere. All my brake system parts have been replaced and are new. Could me hard wiring in a 3rd brake light to my trailer package behind the bumper cause this if water, salt and other contaminants made it in to the soldiered connections?
Thanks in advance!
Hey ... Thankiuu !
I'll try this before changing my sensors. Thanks...
perfect, please let us know what you find out, it helps others like your self. thanks for watching.
I have a 07 GMC Yukon it shakes when I crank it up will this help
libbie cur-johnson did the fuse fix your problem? I was gonna change my sensors as well.
soufson ...yes it did
thomas brian ...thanks Thomas Brian
Thanks for the video! Resitting the fuse will just clear message but not fix the issue?
Worked on my 2013 Yukon xl
thank you men
Worked, thanks
sweet! thanks for watching!
I’m going to try this today ! Both just turned on for me
Exactly what happening to my Z71 truck
It depend on what year is your truck mine 2013 1500 has similar plus engine reduced power vs traction stabilitrak control issue and sometime it cause by rear wheel slip on ice sometime it happen when bad bump on rough road sometime it happen when mix cool chilli morning during fall or winter but summer it run great and smooth all summer long, I did check everything as other mention in youtube but it seem fine nothing blown or broken except my cd radio has malfunction and just recently I hit my radio with a fist to get it to see the clock and suddenly traction stabilitrak vs engine reduced power pop up cause the truck run in slow speed only
you the man
Got new ABS sensors, trailer relay, found broken wire on driver side harness and ABS and Traction still on.....when I jacked up truck my Brake turned on the cluster. Mine is a dually but dont see rear wheel ABS wiring.
I switched from the base model gauge cluster to the LTZ gauge cluster and the traction control/stabilitrak light is on but I don’t have those on my truck, any way to turn the light off?
I have a 2011 silverado 5.3l. I took it in to have the rear brakes done. They also bled the brakes, and my transmission dipstick was loose so they had to retighten etc. I get it back and 2 days later and I get Service Traction Control, Service Stabilitrak only. The engine goes into limp mode. I take it into the mechanic and he said he didn't see any issues etc., he did say a P0335 code popped up which is the crankshaft sensor code. I take the battery to test it and it was a bad battery. That seemed to help it and no issues and 5 days later same issue. The engine has a hard time turning over, but once I shut it down and wait 30 seconds its gone and no issues.
I have a good fuse but also have a bad sensor on my trailer light relay which I ordered yesterday. If the issue dont go away I will have to go back to testing out wires. My truck had 7 broken wires already, bought in an auction.
wow, maybe mice. good luck, thanks for watching.
@@thomasbriansavingmoney I checked everything and driver side ABS sensor is bad. Thanks
Pretty good video
Was the fuse bad? I just checked my fuse and it looked good, should I still replace it?
I power washed my truck and the next day both thos lights came on. Would that really blow a fuse? I was just out inspecting the wiring, all for this answer?
All I did was clean the fuse and put it back I'm and all lights are gone thanks bro
Looks like what my sons Avalanche is doing just got out of body shop let u know thanks
In my case. This happens to me. But only in the winter. And I’ve never hooked a trailer up. But both lights come up after I start driving. And if I pull over and shut the truck off and turn it back on. The lights turn off and I have my abs and trac control. It doesn’t happen every time though. Any ideas?
My problem in my 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 is that the abs starts working every time that I break, but the light doesn't turn on. Usually if I coust around 10 mph the light will turn on but the abs doesn't actually work. Everything is completely backwards for some reason and I'm not sure how to fix it other than trying this method. Any suggestions before I try this?
You ever find yourself in north west georgia, I owe you a beer.
Kevin Maille how far north west Georgia. I’m in north East Alabama. I’ll throw down some beers with you🤙🏼
Thomas, you sly mofo.... you saved me a ton of sheckles.... I was going to take it back to my mech and ask him to change out the ABS sensors, Control units, steering wheel thingy... Even better is that my wife was standing right there when, and when all the lights went dark, I was telling her to praise her man for such skills. If/When the Thomas Brian (last name ) family ever get out to north Jersey this family would love to take yours out for Dinner... Thank you
If the truck is stalling and having the weird idle shaking what is the fix for that?
I hooked up three trailers yesterday to my Yukon Denali yesterday and received abs, stabiltrak, and traction control off. I will definitely try in the morning. Hope this is my problem.
100% this is your problem! thanks for watching
I checked the fuse and it was good, any other ideas? Thanks.
I have the same situation but I plugged in with the computer reading and said I needed some sensors...
