What a great gift from your son! The Shining is next to impossible to find in the wild. I am not much of a Soundtrack vinyl collector but there are some that I certainly have sought out and purchased and others I would love to own.....The Shining is definitely one of them! What a great gift!

It is a super sounding direct-to-disc recordings (1972/73?). Comes with a booklet, poster and multiple layered gatefold. Peace.

Zarion, the lush plush. You can hear beginning at the fourth minute of the Shining soundtrack, music that is very similar to Ligeti's Lux Eterna. (2001).

Have a double cd of Chic's Greatest Hits Live In Amsterdam.Need to check out that Montreaux.Back in 2018 my wife and I saw Chic live 3 times in the space of a few months.They are awesome in concert.Real feel good stuff and the very next night after the 3rd. Chic show we saw Sister Sledge...it was a Chic year all right.We even had a Chic connection when we saw Jeff Beck,who was produced by Nile Rodgers at one point.Stay well,Man.How long before we get to go to gigs again.Bummer.

Carlos’s entire collection should be re-released and remastered and available streaming as much as possible. I know there are likely rights issues on in Soundtracks and other works. So glad I purchased the CD reissue of Sonic Seasonings with the extra tracks back in the 1990s. It now is worth sone $$ these days...I’ll not give it up.
I totally agree about the Carlos discography. It's a crying shame that so much of her work is hard to find. Carlos was always outspoken against internet streaming and downloading. I had hoped that after the spectacular Kevin Gray Audio Fidelity remaster of the Tron Soundtrack a few years ago, we might see more of the Carlos catalog re-released. But so far nothing.

I would advise your son to complain to the seller on the pricey Shining record. Very bad business to mis-grade a record that poorly. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a dj. They are not pro sellers and often have no clue how to grade vinyl properly. That record has really gone up in price for a 1980 major label pressing. wow.

Cover is vg plus, due to back damage. Goes for about $80 now in that condition. Unlike most soundtracks has some decent music on it
