What a great cover on that Devil is a Woman LP!!! Julie London had some phenomenal album covers too... (used to collect them, sold them.) Going to revisit my copy of Anthem of the Sun. That Iron Butterfly Heavy is probably their best. I think the Dave Mason marble vinyl was actually the original issue of that one and black vinyl came afterwards. Hey, glad your Dad is doing better.

wow, i have both those albums europe 72 and anthem of the sun. how weird am i? every sunday, since around, oh.....1972, i would say, just about every sunday, i play the entire europe 72 album but on cd cause it is easier, but i have both recordings on cd and vinyl. and already this year, i have played anthem of the sun around....oh.......5 times and since today is cloudy, ha ha, i am gonna put on anthem of the sun after i am done putting new drawer pulls on this customers' giant dresser and two nightstands. hey dan, give anthem of the sun a play, great stoner tunes.

hey dan, my turntable still works great. it is a pioneer PL-55x auto return direct drive. i bought it used in 1973. would you have a recommended weight to set my tiny scale to so i can weigh the tone arm? thanks dan!
In all honesty, I think perhaps you should ask someone a little more knowledgeable of that particular turntable and cartridge. With my own turntables I typically run 1.7 grams on my Technics and 2 grams on my Rega P1.

Great dead finds, you can go wrong with Europe 72. Anthem of the sun is also in my top list of psych albums.
