Super great show and Tell my Man! So funny how great minds think alike in the VC! I just picked up an original copy of that Clear Light record and am preparing to show it on my next “Far Out Finds” video LoL! Man I really would like to check out that Savage Planet album too Great stuff and Happy 2021 to you Topper! Peace ☮️✌️👽🤘☮️
Glad to see you back on the channel. The poster is fantastic. Has one of my favorite bands, the electric flag. That’s a great gift. I’m the president of the brain fart club. :). That is awesome pick up. Glad you’re back.
Topper so glad to see you at least twice a day I check my subscriptions to see if there’s anything from you was really starting to worry we’re gonna send you an email but here you are glad to see you’re up and kicking keep rocking dude
great poster and i loved electric flag,as well as mobey grape and steve miller . clear light very 60s hollywood sunset strip scene one of the members went on to have a tv movie career, that was successful'youngbloods were sooo good and never got thr real credit they deserved, very jazzyat times.was that alvin lee record his last before he passed on, im not sure. thanks so much for video, and your shorter hair looks good, stay safe and thanks for working so hard putting these videos out.
Hey Topper...I finally Subbed you... discovered the VC only in September...enjoy your video's. You were one of my first favorites. I am out here in Reno, Nevada....just started a channel, a few months ago... Jt's Record Room. I had another handle, but my wife suggested this....how are they almost always right !! Ha ! Cheers Topper ! Love your positive outlook on stuff.
Thanks Topper for the video. Congrats on finding the Miles Davis and that album by The Band. I have never heard that album in it's entirety either but I bet it's a great one! I also have some used records by the Ventures. I enjoy their music too. I also hope that 2021 levels out after getting off to a rough start! Best wishes.
Fantastic Planet is BRILLIANT. Saw it when I was a kid with my Dad when it played in the theaters and it has ALWAYS stayed with me. Bought a sealed version of the original soundtrack not long ago.
Hey I actually had a hot chocolate this evening with my daughter. The dream syndicate I will be showing the artwork is amazing on that man! "If you live long enough you get old". I love it man that's funny. Great video brother
Great gift, dig that artwork. Some interesting pickups will be looking some of those up. Happy 2021 stay positive, stay indoors playing vinyl and stay on you tube, because your vids are always welcome.
The Dream Syndicate was part of the Paisley Underground scene in LA in the early 80's that included Rain Parade. The Three O'Clock , the Bangles, Green on Red and the Long Ryders. Steve Wynn solo stuff is also great along with his side projects the Baseball Project and Minus 3. Glad you got hold their new stuff.
I don't always comment but it's so good to see you as always and looking well. What a fantastic bunch of records too. Betty Davis I would love in the collection. cheers for now. Alan
Another fine episode in the continuing story of a vinyl lover, It amazes me ,it trula does Sir Topper that you never listened to ,,Music fro Big Pink,, before.A truly landmark record and as far as I can determine the beginning of Americana music, And their second album is even better!
Great video as usual. When I finally heard Big Pink I got it why that album was such a favorite of so many artists including Humble Pie and Spooky Tooth. You nailed with Nina too--- you see it, you buy it.
Thank you for resisting any comments regarding politics. People of all stripes buy, enjoy & appreciate vinyl and there is no reason to alienate half of them (unless you want to of course, it's your channel 😎). Besides, it is getting hard to find entertainment that doesn't have an agenda or present a political opinion so your restraint is to be commended. Congrats on the new finds!
Great to see your face again, Topper! Wow, that Fillmore West poster is killer! Yeah, Dream Syndicate! Also nice to see them. Very groovy. Really dig that Dave Allan & the Arrows. You scored some great ones! Peace.
Nice video man.. Greetings from Colorado. Yeah, let's hope 2021 has some positive momentum to it. We'll see I guess.. Hey, nice Fantastic Planet scores! Groundbreaking film, for sure. I have that Criterion copy myself, and vinyl. Mine is older with a different cover. What a nice son, huh.. Later dude.✌
Happy new year Topper! Good to see you again. So jealous you can go out crate digging, we're still in absolute lockdown here in the UK and I've had to resort to the evils of Amazon!! I absolutely adore Music from Big Pink, it's my favourite Band album. What a treat for you never hearing that one before. That's a good Be Bop Deluxe album, very Ziggy Bowieish in feel. That Lou Donaldson album is interesting, I've never seen an audition copy before. Were those like promos that would be sent to radio stations?. Nina Simone is magnificent. I love the absurd pseudonyms for guest artists they used to use on 60s and 70s albums, for contractual reasons, hilarious. I love your eclectic tastes. Great video, take care.
Hey Topper as always I enjoyed the video, watched it this morning and later in the day I visited my local record shop, and low and behold I found a copy of the Alvin Lee and Mylon LeFevre album in the bargain bin. Awesome album thanks for the recommendation. Owe you so much for the education!. Happy new year.
@@CatholicZola me too. now i have so much fun watching other folks drink alcohol and act stupid, ah, like i used to be. and i found craig beck two years after i quit. you gotta subscribe to this dude. he also was a big-time heavy drinker, watch his past videos, and catch new ones, ha, when he gets around to making one, now he travels the world and charges 3 grand per person in a class limited to 13 people and talks about......why we ever started drinking in the first place. i am starting to see how alcohol is a perfect product for......the blind. you can do it, and you will, i can tell. rock on zola!
For some reason I just thought of the band, Passport. Sort of a Euro competitor to Weather Report. I think people like Gil Scott Heron, Leon Thomas, and Quincy Jones were on the Mainstream label. I do know that the original The Tenth Victim soundtrack (Classic) was on Mainstream. Best version was a later double album with ALL the music...
I love that framed poster. A real treasure. That was a nice early copy of On the Corner. I love that. Nice Nina Simone. I would love to find a buy 2 get one free sale. Take care.
I've got the VHS on Light Years: it's actress Glenn Close voices for the queen; Christopher Plummer, Jennifer Grey and John Shea. bridget Fonda, Paul Schaffer and Penn and Teller were involved. Issac Asimov was the screenwriter. Haven't seen it in a while but I think it's kind of tough to get through....
Happy New Year. The poster is probably from Wolfgang's vault, Billy Graham's Private stock. Is Mike Bloomfield shown on that Electric Flag photo? One of my favorites. And anything with Alvin Lee is worth picking up. Here's the 2021.
Mike Bloomfield is in the photo. In fact, the poster shows the names of the Electric Flag band members. The poster was from the personal collection of the gentleman that gave it to me.
Hey man, great finds there. That buy 2 get one free is a fantastic deal. I need to check out that Dream Syndicate album. Amazing art work on it. Those movies look very interesting too and getting the soundtrack is a bonus for sure. Are you a fan of David Lynch movies and music? If you like weird movies check out his movie Eraserhead.
Haha, love your dad's adage, "If you live long enough, you get old." Ain't that the bloody truth! Beautiful poster you received. When I was a teen, I had a bunch of posters, some of them black light posters, but they're all gone. Gosh, imagine had I saved them? One I think was fairly common, wild black light poster I think of a mushroom cloud on the horizon or something, but the caption was "What if they gave a war and nobody came?" You remember that one? I need to find that Betty Davis album, so many have shown it and raved about it. I know what you mean that there are amazing albums others know well but I haven't known about, and when I "discover" them, it's really amazing. I'm thinking, where the hell have I been? LOL And BTW, your videos are never boring. Cheers!
I love On The Corner, that is sooooo funky. And the Art Work is great. Omg and the. You show Betty Davis. Was that an OG Topper? She is great. Music from angry Pink is wonderful. I have never seen that Be Bop album before. Wow you hit a honey hole of great records. Congrats Topper. Steve

FWIW, Clear light was a type of LSD back in the 60’s. I actually dropped a tab and had a wonderful trip. Still waiting for the flashbacks!
Wow. Some cool stuff! Betty Davis seems to be impossible to get here. Been searching all year
Been waiting for a new video. Definitely worth the wait! Keep it up! :)
