For those who may not know, our beautiful friend, Topper, passed away yesterday on February 4, 2023. He was not only a wonderful personality but he was also a super talented musician who played multiple instruments. He love of vinyl recordings came from a professional musicians aspect. Some of us not only followed and watched him in various bands that he performed with back in the 1980s and beyond, but we also had the honor to jam with him. He was a great guitar player, keyboard player and singer, AND also a father, husband and friend. We will miss Topper.

I remember sitting in your living room and listening to Syd Barrett or watching VHS videos. Thank you for teaching me so much about music. When I met you all I listen to was Death Metal. You asked why I would limit myself. Listen to everything and then if you dont like it you can say so not because its not Death Metal. You opened up my musical world. Also thank you for getting me excited about space.You are and will always be a true friend.

Love that Chris Squire ....and those exotica albums. It is great to see you back with this video. The painting is wonderful. You are so well-liked by all of us!
Great painting. When you showed the Chris Squire album it reminded me of when I found an excellent copy of Aretha Franklin’s I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You album for a ridiculously low price… super cheap. I’ve always suspected an employee of the store put it out for a friend to pick up, and I just happened to luck into it. Anyway, it was nice seeing The Three Suns album… was listening to them a lot a few years ago… think I’ll get back into them.

wow, that painting really is some awesome VCLT. You are right to treasure it. Great stack of records you've shown. My favorite part was the Esquivel, Martin Denny, and Arthur Lyman exotica records you showed at the end (and I think there was someone else). I love that style of music, and the fantastic album covers make them that much more fun to collect. Thanks for showing the records!

Think I may have a copy, not sure what pressing it is. Dig the Donovan LP. I agree most that I find are G, some G-. They play but kinda noisy. Awesome Shady Grove! Really great album! The legend...wow, Wufferton Frog has an epic fadeout...I clocked it as one whole minute. Bobby Hutcherson was bay area based. Half Moon Bay, about a half hour drive down the Pacific Coast Highway. He would play at Keystone Korner in San Francisco, or Kimball's, or Yoshi's. Saw him many times. Astounding to watch him play vibes from 10 feet away in small clubs. HIs lineage is way up there. I actually drew him and his vibes on a club napkin one night, and maybe that still exists somewhere....
That Ellington record is way cool! I bought the Analogue Productions 33 1/3 version and I love it. As you say, it is truly remarkable to think that that record is seventy years old. I’m not even seventy years old - but damn close!
Great to see your videos again. That 200 Motels poster is in wonderful shape! My poster is ragged at the corners because the previous owner obviously had it tacked on the wall and must have moved it around a lot because there are many holes! lol Cheers, my friend.

I’m trying to find one in the wild. Quicksilver is another great album. The Zappa album looks good too. Ellington is just iconic. Madym cyn does have a great channel. Hope all goes well.

Unfortunately The Sounds In Space album is only good for the album artwork. Speaking of artwork that picture of you is awesome , I'd definitely find some room on the wall behind you for all to see.
I miss scoring Zappa for cheap. The Zappa bins were plentiful in the 80-90s. Shame about that Motorhead. Pressings like that have curbed my non-researched buying of newer pressings. That Sounds In Space looks like fun.

You can also get that 2112 at Barnes and noble. It was not an exclusive to Walmart.
