For those who may not know, our beautiful friend, Topper, passed away yesterday on February 4, 2023. He was not only a wonderful personality but he was also a super talented musician who played multiple instruments. He love of vinyl recordings came from a professional musicians aspect. Some of us not only followed and watched him in various bands that he performed with back in the 1980s and beyond, but we also had the honor to jam with him. He was a great guitar player, keyboard player and singer, AND also a father, husband and friend. We will miss Topper.
I was wondering about him. Thank you for letting us know. He seemed like such a kind soul. I didn’t realize he was a good musician, in addition to being a friendly and soothing online presence. My condolences to the family. Rock on, Topper.

He had not posted in a while and I was afraid that he was having health issues. I saw the news on Rik Strange's page. He will be missed. I hope he knew what he meant to folks. I will miss him. He always had a joy about music. Godspeed Topper.

I've been thinking a lot about Topper recently, but hadn't visited the channel for a few months because I know he was focusing on his health and not making as much content. I have only just discovered, through other VC videos and confirmed in the comments here, that he is sadly no longer with us. I'm sorry it has taken so long to find out. Even though I didn't know him personally, and only exchanged a few messages with him on CZcams, this news has really hit me.
Topper, thank you for your brilliant videos, your infectious smile and for your knowledge and insight. Thank you for introducing me to some of the best music I didn't even know I'd like! And for some of the most chilled record cleaning videos too! Like everyone who followed you, it was clear for me to see you were one of life's truly genuine folk. You had a true love for music of all types, and you were great with people too. I can just tell you were a truly kind and gentle human being.
I'm gonna miss your updates, seeing your crazy finds, listening to your stories and seeing the love for music shine through. May your shell rest in peace, and may your soul rock on forever!

I'm just learning of this now. I'm very shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Topper's passing. Although its been some time, Topper and I had often commented on each others' videos and I always found his content to be interesting and sincere. From what I saw of him here I knew him to be a gentle spirit who held the deepest passion for music. He's one person I found on CZcams that I always felt it would be nice to meet in person. My faith tells me that he is now in God's presence and perhaps through grace I will indeed get to meet Topper one day.

So sorry to learn of Topper's passing. Loved the channell. My dad spent summers in Peterstown, WV, and Narrows, VA, (He's in Kansas now.) But has fond memories of swimming at the Boom years and years ago. We were both excited to find out someone in the VC was from Dad's early stomping grounds of all places. Very cool. RIP...and may the Lord always be with you.

Saddened to hear of Toppers passing. My condolences to his friends and family. He brought such joy to his followers on CZcams through his videos. I discovered many bands and albums because of Topper over the years and am really going to miss his warm and kind presence here.
I just recalled that I hadn't seen an oddbox topper video in some time and decided to look him up again. Rest in peace man, you've earned it.
I am sorry. I just subscribed yesterday but was enjoying his videos for the past six months. I enjoyed him alot and will continue to revisit his videos. Fly on Hippie Man we love you!

Honestly I'm in tears watching the both of you enjoying quality time. It reminds me of years ago, crate Diggin on boxing days with my two co-workers. Find memories indeed. Wow, lots of fantastic albums! Man, Topper, another example of why your videos are the best, I need to take notes. Those look like some brilliant albums. I recently got a few Vangelis vinyl albums that I was needing: “Earth”, “La Fete Sauvage”, “The Dragon”, and a French pressing of “Opera Sauvage” to go with my Netherlands, US, UK, and Japanese pressings of that album. It’s one of my favorites. It’s my Caravanserai of the Vangelis world. I need to get his latest, looks like a beautiful album. You know, recently I’ve been finding magic in some of his orchestral and later albums. Before I was just into earlier works. Great to see you and awesome video! Again, great video, I’m very happy to see you and that you’re enjoying the music.

Great to see you Topper! Your videos always just make me feel so good. I really like the short hair and goatee. I was a long haired fully bearded dude for like 8 years. Got a haircut and a goatee for my brother's wedding last week. I feel like a look about 10 years younger.... what I'm saying is it's a good look for you. You honestly look a little younger than you did in a video from like a year ago. Can't wait to see more content.
