OddBox Topper got me into my late fathers vinyl collection and falling in love with that crisp mono sound of yesteryear a few years back. I've been subscribed to him for a while now and only just found out via his youtube channel that he hasn't uploaded recently which led me to googling his name and coming across this tribute. I am teary eyed as I write this in hearing of his passing. RIP Topper. A great man with a passion for music who will be sorely missed.
Believe me when I say meeting the man was just like I would have hoped for. His friendly persona on the tube was only intesified upon meeting him in person. Our time together was inspirational and gave me hope about people in general. Long May his legend live.

I was thinking of Topper tonight and missing him Then I was scrolling through you tube and one of his old videos came up and I watched it He’d been on a trip and had found a New Zealand pressing of a Who album. It was his pure joy at finding records that I always loved to watch And I live half a world away on Vancouver Island in Canada May 3 2023
His CZcams channel was the first VC one that I watched. Amazing videos! A huge help during the pandemic. Took your mind away from the insanity. Then I dug deeper into his channel and found out that he was a brilliant musician. I wish I could have jammed with him.
I was thinking of Topper tonight and realized its been some time since I received notification he had posted a video. I'm shocked to hear he he has passed. He was a solid supporter of my channel and I always enjoyed his videos, which I found to be informative and sincerely presented. May he be rejoicing in Heaven.
Topper was an absolutely beautiful soul. His presence on this planet only made it a better place to be He was truly an amazing spirit and such a treasure. It was not just the method, it was his passion for vinyl, for music and his kindness that touched me and made me watch his video over and over again. My condolences to his wife and family. I just learned of toppers passing I was thinking about his videos and decided to google and discovered his passing. Very sad he was so nice and genuine as real as it gets. I knew he was ill from his last several videos I didn’t think it was terminal. Very sad he will be missed.
Of being a honest and gentle soul. Not just in his videos but in his everyday life interactions with other people. Meeting him was one of the truly greatest experiences of my life. 🖖🚀
I miss him... I just learned of his death via this video and I feel so deeply saddened for not having heard of it before. My best wishes to his family. His voice and behaviour in front of the camera were extremely soothing and comforting. I am also an admirer of 60s psychedelic music, so his videos were frequently a source of inspiration for me. This is such heartbreaking news. Topper gave a lot to me over the years from all the music I took away from watching his videos. I will never forget the gift I received from him and hope that in the years to follow he will only continue to be an inspiration for others. Rest in peace to this good man. I was just wondering how he was getting on not too long ago. So sorry to hear of his passing. I only knew him through his videos but he made a huge impression on me as a really cool dude. That record cleaning video grabbed me and that was it, I was hooked. I especially liked his road-trip video with his buddies. What a incredible passion for music. He seemed to have a wonderful family, I thought his sons passion for music was something that he could take credit for. I’ll miss him very much. God bless 🙏🏼☮️
