Nice to see the Rural Rhythm album, I've got a stack of those from that era - mainly in plain white covers! Interesting to see the pedal steel records, too.

Joaquin Murphy is THE famous steel pedal man. He can play jazz, swing, bop, country.. he was the pedal steel player for Spade Cooley's band. Country boogie! He is it!! Look him up on youtube.

May I ask, when you play an album (particlulary new acquisitions) do you listen to it in its entirety, or just a track or two and then move on to another album?
I usually listen to a new album in its entirety, both sides, unless it’s defective, sounds bad or is totally uninteresting to me musically. I do not have a regular job and spend much of my time home alone. I have plenty of time to listen to and clean records when my household chores are done.
