  • We pull the engine in this week's episode and we show you all the steps you need to take to do it safely and efficiently. It's a longer episode this week but there are a lot of things to account for when you yank an engine out.
A big shout out and thank you to DC Racing Engines here in Denver for letting us use their engine hoist. If you are in the market to have a racing engine built or have some quality machine and rebuild work done on your motor, be sure to check them out at dc-racingengines.com/.

That thing you didn't know what it was, is the Z-bar or equalizer bar. Basically its your Clutch mechanism. Instead of a cable or hydraulics, Ford used this linkage for the Clutch actuation !

After that episode I immediately pulled out my service manual to find the answer! Haha

@@enginegremlin i have a 67 comet with the 200, the Clutch pedal didn't want to fully come back up after pressing it, turns out the pivot bushings had a lot of Play, and someone put the wrong bar at some point , i believe i have a bigblock bar instead of the 6 cylinder one.
Now its fine , but i had to learn pretty much everything about that mechanism 😅
