I'm glad you fixed that Yankee, it had been giving me sleepless nights.
Freaking hilarious! I am familiar with your parenting techniques.
Oh great. Now Social Services is going to have Yankee arrested for yelling at his kids while working with firearms. Now we'll have to watch NeverEnufAmmo's videos.
Looks great!! Thanks for showing!!
this was 1 of your best informative videos in a while
In case anyone tries this at home, you might have problems trying to thread a nut onto the rod after it has been cut because the threads will be messed up. A sure fire way to do this is mark the threaded rod to length, then remove one of the foam sections, thread the nut onto the rod past the mark, THEN cut at the mark. Now debur the end to make it smooth and then take the nut off the rod. Removing the nut after the rod has been cut re-establishes the thread pattern on the end of the rod. Finally put the foam piece back on and screw the nut on. As a bonus, you can get the rod the exact length you need and use acorn nuts on each side so even the most OCD among us can sleep at night.
May I suggest a reinforced steel door with a deadbolt lock for Gary's spot? You save more money on cameras that way! Lol
that is one hell of a pistol collection you've got there. I hope to have that many pistols some day.
damn, Yankee. You should audition for a metal band with that scream.
"CUT IT OUT!!!" LMAO!
Thanks for the good tip, YankeeMarshal. Hey...rotate that top shelf (flip it), it's starting to sag in the middle. A lot of people just forget to do this.
It isn't sagging. It is an optical illusion made worse by the camera angle.
Good job. A door organizer will also add to more spaces for more guns.
It looks like treasure to me.... pure gold :)
You're killin' me, Smalls. First, I enjoy your videos. I'll admit that sometimes, I listen without watching all the way through. When I do that, I find that I miss your added printed comments so I have to "rewind". Then it takes me even longer to watch. I like the way you modified the racks (yes, I said "racks") to make it neat. Someday, when the Boss lest me get an upright safe, I'll do that as well.
Great video and idea(s) on handgun storage. Thanks for your comic relief; it works well too.
I bought a few of these on your recommendation. I think I may have to do this, too, as mine are just sitting in there as they came. Looking good
Great video! My neighbor had surgery on his shoulder and gave me my inheritance early a 7mm Remington Magnum so I had to fit it in my gun safe. Now I will have a chance to make more space. Have 12 HYSKORE panels on order. Thanks
Thanks YM. I've been looking for a better way to mount my pistols in my safe. I'll give these a try!
Really like seeing that Mare's Leg. I ran into a Henry's Mare's Leg and could not resist. Of all things being used someone had put a laser on a Western Icon. I found in 347 magnum the laser actually made it more practical in low light conditions I kept it. Kind of a Back to the Future Western Gun. The laser is spot on and actually helps work it from the hip with some accuracy.
Oh my god. I want that safe and that collection.
Nice. And no one got their eye poked out. Well done.
Thanks for making me laugh on a Monday morning. Oh, and for some helpful info too.
Looks great.
Dude, I'm 18 and I have never been jealous before. When you showed the inside of your safe I think you just made me jealous for the first time.
Racks and nuts, brilliant!
Very Cool idea, I think I am going to have to do that! Thanks for the tip!
I subbed after 15 seconds of watching this. My god, I'm almost crying!
Crying? Awesomeness makes you sad?
TheYankeeMarshal No, the fact that I'm trying to keep my piss does lol
Man ...that's friggin beautifull!!
Great work. I lost it when you made the comment about using a high speed cutting tool. Hahahaha! Great vid. Thumbs up!
Best annotations ever
I always love a YM reorganizing the safe video. I wonder what your ocd is going to make you do once you realize that top shelf has a sag in it and doesnt line up with the others.
You are not OCD, you're CDO. It is similar except that with CDO the letters are arranged alphabetically ... as they should be. History question, did Martha Washington have a wooden rack?
these hyskore racks are great!
Hey boss, just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos and your style (jokes and all lol). Hope you continue to pump out good videos.
cut it out lol
I'm a big fan of those metal rods that allow you to hang one pistol under the shelf and one on top. I can't remember the brand or anything, but I picked them up at ATP gun shop near Charleston, SC. Great looking safe, YM.
I got my HySkore racks at Cabelas. I love em!
Nice collection.
This is how you remodel your gunsafe....CUT IT OUTT!!! lol funny shit man
Pasties work well when a jiggly rack causes chafing to the nipples....and if you're not in tight with any strippers that have pasties laying around, bandaids will suffice
Your a wiseass and that is why I am a subscriber keep up the good work
What took you so long? I have been waiting for you to do this for a long time. It has been driving me nuts.
Missed your posts on the FiringLine. Glad I found your channel on CZcams.
Hi nice job yankee !
I see you wore your TV repairman shirt while doing this... Good call! :-)
neat setup
nice work!
Great video, do you find that the heavier pistols do not line up straight and tend to lean to the side or is this not a problem? I am curious and if they hold the heavier guns. Really want to thank you for a GREAT idea and sharing. ps I showed my wife of 28 years your idea and just that dirty talk about racks and nuts got me laid.
I'm with everyone els who says you should do a collection series and show all your guns, not to in detail but just show them and tell a little abut them. Just a suggestion for future vides!
Looks good now just don't run out of safe space. I had to quit buying rifles but I still can put more pistols in mine. I think it's time to buy safe # 2
yeah that's cool and everything but do you yell at the computer like that when you get into an argument on here?
I like the set-up you have. Really like what looked like Sig Sauer. A Sig video collection would be cool.
The entire top shelf is all SIG now.
TheYankeeMarshal
i thought the whole safe was supposed to be SIG since you carry gary in your rectal deep concealment holster. Good vid man
Shit, Yankee, your gun safe could buy my car. Three times over.
Nice Weatherby Yankee.
Seems to me that if you were going to cut the all-threads anyway, you should have cut them to a sufficient length that you could use acorn nuts on both ends.
Even better, counter sink the nuts by cutting out a divot from the foam and using the removed portion of the foam to make a cover for the nuts.
Marshal looks like your going to be back to 2 safes soon
I'm a bit OCD myself, I feel your pain.
It would drive me nuts having acorn nuts on one end and wing nuts on the other end even if you can't see them. Mismatching nuts doesn't compute in my brain. Couldn't you just cut the rod a little shorter and use acorn nuts on both ends?
You should wear pasties when you go to bars to avoid the nipple irritation issue. Of course if you wear pasties, you gotta wear the gogo boots too!
God, those captions Yankee xD
Cool idea
Why in the world do you have so many guns ??? I'm not knocking you ....I'm jealous !!!
O no a composite door safe! Any toddler could get into that safe. Even leaving ur window open couple blow the door of at any minute!
CUT IT OUTTTTTT LOL best part
You should do a video on that Remington 887
you should have put the nut on so when you get done cutting it you can unscrew it and restore the threads on the threaded rod.
I am jealous of your safe lol. I will probably look into those hyskore racks, my safe seems like it's ready to burst with everything in it, maybe a little organization will help that out. Might save me from having to buy another safe, anytime soon lol. Any advice on storing long guns?
If I have to I could stack these two rows deep.
do you edit the videos yourself or someone else does it and has something against you. just a question.
You said "nutz"
You always crack me up. Hahaha!
Going to get this brand now. Noticed you changed to another brand. Any regrets with these? They say 1.5 inch wiidth per gun. Yours looks wider.
wow you have a place for everything and everything is in it's place. I gotta get a bigger safe, shit piled everywhere.
Made myself jump listening to this while playing with my 7 month old, Shouldve seen the warning
Is it a video illusion or does that top shelf have a bow in it?
(seed planted)
It is an illusion of the camera angle. After editing the video I measured every possible angle.
"You're down with OCD...Yeah you know me!"
You got a Acher ringtone?
Move the top shelf up just a hair then you should be able to get another string rack all the way across.
Surprised you didn't cut some smoked Plexiglas to the end shape and used them to make it look nice.
This man is I don't even know
lol 1:12, laughed my ass off
organise your racks? I think its time for a new gun safe yankee, that ones filled to the rafters. 30 something pistols WTF, who needs 30 something pistols? Yankee Marshall does, lol :-)
38 pistols... nice.
nice!
It looks like the top shelf is slightly bowed
this man is hilarious
Look awesome, but I have just the opposite situation. I have 5 times more long guns than handguns.
Anybody that knows you.. knows that the sound of elephants above your head... Bothers you..
Elephants. Haha!
I thought you were yelling at my kids! Took 3 tries to see your whole vid.
I had to rewind to see the stripper warning, thank you
Now didn't you feel bad when you went upstairs later and found those two elephants doing it? LOL
Great job! Looks perfect now, thank God! Look like shit before! Lol
maybe its time for a bigger safe
that top shelf isnt even its bending downwards at the center.
Good video, Yankee...but I'm sorry to hear about your chafing problem. The reason you have the sagging problem is that gravity SUCKS!
They are perkier now that I have lost the weight.
and where's the dehumidifier ??? losing space on the door not being used
nice video man. if u want to save some space for the handguns, hang them on the door
You can't in this safe. The door closes against the shelving.
How long was the OCD nagging you about those gun racks? It's relentless! You'll sleep better now.
Wait, I didn't see how you did that. Could you take it apart and do it over so I could see it again? ;)
I have to keep my pizza safe
