Thank, glad ya liked it, appreciate ya watching
I also have the Taurus PT92 and the PT22, I love it, always had great luck with Taurus guns
Ingenious!!! You hit all the marks for this project....
Beware that fence slats are often pressure treated southern yellow pine which requires special fasteners to avoid corrosion of nails and screws. Using a non-treated wood better protects the firearms. Also, in an enclosed space pressure treated wood can have off-gassing that can affect metal even if it is not in contact.
always like to see unused materials being put to good use. nice work
I showed this to my wife she said you are a genius and thank you. It helped us both easily decide on a safe we were contemplating because it provided such a easy way store the hand gun side
MrAutochamber Glad it helped, thanks 4 watching
Your enthusiasm is perfect for QVC
What a GREAT tip! Thanks for saving us some money! Think I am gonna make some racks this weekend.
Genius! Im doing this now. This is why im subbed to your channel cause of cool ideas like this
cool idea, thanks for sharing Matt
Glad to see you went with D.I.Y shelves good job I like the set up.
Yeah I like how they came out
Great idea and great video!
The only suggestion would be to just finish off the wood with a covering too (like you said).
Very nice Matt!
Thanks
you could sell this. not kidding. matts got a new job!
Well done ! Easy, cheap, DIY project.
Brilliant, simple and easy
phenomenal idea. When I finally get my big safe like that, I will definitely be doing this...
Yeah it came out pretty good
Thanks 4 watching
Looks awesome, great job. Thanks for sharing.
Great DIY project.
All the guns are loaded and I keep the extra mags for each gun behind the rack but I want to get a system that hangs on the door for the mags
Thanks brother
Nice job Matt
Yeah that'd be my guess as far as where to fin them
I like the simplicity of this setup and the fact it can fit just about any size gun. I'm going to try making one from Trex decking material. Just need to figure out the pattern for teh face of the tning. Thanks for shareing.
Nice. Clever Idea Matt.
i think i know what your talking about to hold the pistols and i think midway usa sells something like that if you want to check it out.
Yeah it worked out well
Great idea Matt..I know what i'll be doing this Sat morning
Glad ya liked it
Looks good Matt!!
Good idea
Great video. Thank you for the suggestion.
Thanks bro
Kick ass! I will be picking up a safe next weekend and be using this idea for sure. Thanks
Yeah it would
Wow that is such a great idea, great video man.
That's a great idea brother well done
Yeah, worked out well
Yup
You can easily get something to cover that wood support. They make carpet very similar to that for building car speaker boxes. It's cheap and I bet it matches well.
Great idea, I might have to try something simple for my knife/sword collection
Great Idea. Just what I need. There is a lot of crap ides currently for pistol storage in safes. I don't want a damn wire rod slipped into my barrels. Great place for any moisture to condensate. Nor do I want metal wire or metal anything resting on my gun finishing. I'm going to use your idea and use my router to incorporate some magazine slots into the forward, horizontal wood rest. Thanks for a great and simple solution. JD

It was just raw wood that was being used as fencing, not sure what chemical were used, but an easy fix is covering the wood where it touches the gun
You are absolutely right, about ten years ago, many lumber manufacturers started using ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) treatment on lumber. It is supposed to be five times more corrosive to steel, than the former treatment.
Great solution! Thanks
Cool, those would work great
nice video. love the videos you put out.
very informational, keep it up.
Great idea!! Thanks for sharing.
Good point. I was thinking the same. Also, wood holds moisture. My thought would be to use 5/4 x6" Composite decking or Azak material as it's made from solid (non-marring) plastic, is totally inert and will not hold moisture.
Looks real good. I'm gonna steal this for my safe. Do you keep the mags separate or is there a loaded one in each pistol?
Clever idea looks good too. I agree I would just cover the fence piece too and it would look like you bought them.
I always thought about something like this, but never thought to take rifle rack and cut it up! I'm not even using it. Excellent tip!!!
Yeah it will
I was wondering when you would show us your update. Lol..
Great idea Matt. Good job.
Thats cool
Cool, glad ya liked it
Great idea thanks for sharing
you could make the individual rack lockable by having 2 solid side pieces and run a steel rod through all the trigger guards, then lock it from the end.
Great idea, thanks!
Great idea, looks good too!
Good use of the ol noggin sir. What is your opinion on TAurus semi autos...9mm 40 cal etc....see u have wheel gun
Now I got my project for the weekend
great vid. im going to build these also. awesome idea! thanks
Great job
Great suggestion, I like it a lot. What about covering the wood board with a similar fabric?. It would look better and can't hurt the guns.
Looks really good!
good job dude!
Pretty cool idea.
Cool
great tip!
Adapt and overcome, like a boss
So what if your safe dont have this in it i looked on sentry and cannon an couldnt find where they sale them i looked up barrel racks they brought up plastic
Why, thanks you
Nice pistol collection! ;) thanks for the tip
thx bro glad u like it
Awe, you crafty son-of-a-gun! Looks good & its free, love it.
Another consideration is to use synthetic cloth in any gun safe upholstery. Most natural fibers will absorb oil into fiber cells, which in the case of oil and powder can lead to corrosion and combustion problems.
Genius, thanks for the idea...
treated out door lumber is VERY corrosive. you need to find some thing else .like pine or spruse, maybe a PLASTIC mud flap . just bought one to set my safe on to keep it off cement floor for about $ 7.00. just dril through it when attaching it to the floor. cuts as easy as wood. comes 24x30 and 24x24
nice, I will be making mine next week!
Yeah I think I will
Yeah I think I'll end up covering it up
FREAKING BRILLIANT !!!!!!! GENIUS!
Yeah the chat was lively
Sweet & Cheap Just The Way I Like It Bravo
Nice job. I have been messing with my safe for the last week.
Very cool video
Good idea.
great job!
you saved my day
I'd contact some of the safe manufacturers like Cannon or Sentry
Nice Matt. Your a modern day MacGyver....without the irrational fear of guns.
Very nice
You'd have to called or email the safe manufacturer, they should be able to get u one
Good idea, the only thing is I would put some velvet on the other piece of wood, cover it up, there might be something in the wood that might cause rust with direct contact.
wow thanks for the tip.
