    Doctor O - so sorry for your loss. Thanks for the content. I’m currently on the undergrad path to being a PA. I was wondering if having tattoos on my arms , (tasteful and nothing obscene of course ) is discriminated against by employers , and if you’ve had any issues with this. Thank you :)

      Hey, so things have changed markedly over the past couple of decades I believe. We don’t live in a perfect world so obviously there will be some people who still are uncomfortable with it but for the most part, society is becoming more and more accepting of it. I know quite a bit of doctors, nurses, PT, RT, etc that have tattoos. There are some that even wear earring in the work place as a male. I would say, if you have an interview, cover up that way you’re not prejudged. But after that, do you. I doubt you will feel that type of discrimination that makes you very uncomfortable. Hope that helps and sorry about the late reply!

      Sherice A Linton yes... Ross precisely. Take the advantage of Covid-19. Ross is waiving Mcat. St George’s is equally waiving MCAT. Although I took mine in 2018. Pls come on board and you will never regret it. Don’t tell too many people b/c they will discourage you (my lil advice)

    Hello Dr. Curtis! I´m 33 years old and going to take the Mcat around Jan-Feb 2021 and don´t want to wait until 2022 to start med school. My big concern is about my residency preference which is Dermatology in Florida, do you recommend I should apply to Florida med schools and wait until the process is completed and start in 2022 or can I give it a shot to a Caribbean med school like Ross or St. George´s?

    • @doctorcurtiso.7853
      @doctorcurtiso.7853  Před 4 lety +4

      I know quite a few people who went Derm from Ross or SGU. It is definitely doable and realistic for sure. Obviously US schools are ideal but those two schools are very competitive with students getting into a specialty such as that. So its hard to tell you what route you should go but I can at least tell you you can DEFINITELY get into derm from a Caribbean school

    Hi Dr Curtis. I'm new to your channel but have enjoyed watching your videos. Very informative and you're very enthusiastic. I have Q. I was accepted directly into American University of Antigua and Merped by Ross. Have to decide soon. In this video you mentioned SGU/Ross being superior to other caribbean schools especially now with Step 1 being P/F. Do you think Merp to Ross is the way to go?

    • @doctorcurtiso.7853
      @doctorcurtiso.7853  Před 4 lety +2

      I believe merp is the way to go in my opinion. Not to say you can’t succeed by going through AUA, but Ross and SGU are much superior in the eyes of residencies. You’ll be gambling by taking your chance at merp obviously so you have to really consider that risk but if you’re confident in yourself that you’ll pass merp then I say go for it.
