@@CadWeapTech Not even that.. Just classic playitagain sports. Sell gear to them, they give you 20 bucks and next day its on shelf for 80. What a scam.
Play it again is awesome! I bought a $220 bag there for $40! So with a $300 bat for $20! No joke! I looked the prices up before I posted this! Plus it’s just a great store!
honestly i think you can do A LOT cheaper - go to that tip that corwin went to with all the hockey sticks, i'm sure there is so much gear you can score for pretty much nothing there
@@ktskhskgzkhxlymgzitzkzyo4251 I don't know that there are "lots" of them. I know for sure that very few low-income people play hockey. Equipment is the cheapest part of the sport. I played hockey in the '90s. It probably cost my parents $2,000 a year, in total, for me to play the sport. Ice time, equipment, travel, gas, etc. Two grand wouldn't even cover the ice time these days. It's an insanely expensive sport. It's a sport for the upper-middle class and the rich.
I was a cheap hockey equipment kinda player, my dad didn’t want to spend big money on any equipment until I could prove myself serious for the game, used a wood stick for my whole first year
Went to Cupolos in Niagara Falls back in November 87...bought all new equipment for $280...skates separately...Bauer 92’s...grey and black...times have changed
I was still using vintage high leather cuff gloves and a Sherwood PMP wood stick when I played. Glad I didn't spend thousands just to have broken legs anyway
Always wanted to play hockey as a kid, especially since moving to Canada back in '08. Unfortunately, being an immigrant makes it pretty difficult to be involved in a sport where you have to buy brand new equipment every single year.
I paid $50 for an alway brand new pair of Graf 705s that included skate.guards and Super Feet insoles. ...you don't need shoulder pads until you get decked by someone out-of control or slide shoulder first into the boards.
I bought mostly the cheapest or next cheapest gear in the UK, no shoulder pads and it cost me over £500. But the only makes I could get hold of were CCM, Bauer & Warrior.
These play it again sports videos are way more interesting than the vids that try to convince me to buy $1000 skates 😂 Had some great finds there and on sideline swap and ebay. This is not a cheap hobby, gotta save wherever you can
I am the general manager of a play it again sports in northern Kentucky. I am super jealous of this stores hockey selection. Our hockey market is so small, we have a single isle of protective, skates, and sticks.
the funny part is I got a bunch of excellent equipment from goodwill for 5 dollars and knee pads from my neighbors. I got my stick for 27 dollars and the most expensive thing was the helmet for 79.99 dollars even my skates were store bot a costing 29.99
My first set of gear(I started playing in men's beer league) was $150 and it was more protective than this. You boys should get a set of gear from your local ice rinks lost and found 🤣
It kind of goes to show you how expensive hockey equipment can get, there's a lot of things you need.
Yeah it's the unfortunate reason why the sport isn't as popular, less wealthy people cannot really play it
Agreed, in my experience though some of that gear lasts forever. My shin guards, elbow pads, and breezers/pants are at least 12 years old.

Skates and sticks go for that alone tho
Those mitts are actually pretty nasty 🔥
Them old Fedorov joints sickkkk
Whats wrong with them

Was too shy to show the jock he bought
From my experience, anyone who wears a red helmet is a troublemaker, instigator, brawler.
😂 ref type comment (no offence)
Dude they closed the play it again sports near my hosue, loved going there.
Just bought a whalers hat, and I’m proud to be matching w jesse
Dam hockey really is a rich man's sport
It's F1 on ice.
There's lots of programs in place for low income families to make hockey accessible
dont tell this man about kiteboarding

Yup definitely a sport for those rags to riches stories, he said sarcastically lmao
And nowadays, children tease if you don’t have the best brand.
Probably a lot of families out there that have to get this exact equipment. Bet they’re just fine.
I didn't know Play It Again still existed. It's been gone in my area for at least 20 years.
We have one here in the Tampa area. I know of one in Palm Harbor specifically - which borders Oldsmar where I played growing up in the 90s
We got one left in the Pittsburgh area and it’s like 45 minutes away from downtown.
@@deusvult6920 that palm harbor one off US 19 has been there forever I remember getting all my street hockey stuff there back in the 90s
Now play with em lmao
I get all my stuff from the lost and found bin
It’s sad that some sticks nowadays are more expensive than that.
Them gloves 🧤 are fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Those TACKLA pants are fire!!
It all came out to the price of getting one good stick
I remember I could only play one year. Grew out of my gear and football was cheaper. But man hockey is fun
That bucket is legit nicer than your usual
Do not cheap out on safety equipment, it’s better to pay a little more and potentially save yourself from injury that otherwise could be prevented.
The fact that a hockey stick costs more than a whole set of equipment shows how expensive hockey is
I was a cheap hockey equipment kinda player, my dad didn’t want to spend big money on any equipment until I could prove myself serious for the game, used a wood stick for my whole first year
I know the purpose of this vid, but for those prices anyone looking for any equipment buy new..
The TACKLA pants and bucket are awesome.
Love that Whalers cap. Jesse has some good style.
This dude grinds my gears
This is where I bought all my equipment, I rate it a 10/10!
I’ve been staying tuned for 3 months can you make a video already

Bro is a plug.
Big ups on the Whalers hat
All this is as much as just my skates and I’m youth so I couldn’t imagine how much it would be for men’s quality equipment
I was still using vintage high leather cuff gloves and a Sherwood PMP wood stick when I played. Glad I didn't spend thousands just to have broken legs anyway
We always shop at play it again sports for hockey stuff. They are so good, we have on in Nashville and it’s perfect!
Great video very informative for pplwho can't afford to pay retail and I think you look like Mitch Marner
This is what I did when I went to play intramural hockey in university. Cost me about $200
I spent over 300 for my basketball shoes💀
Play it again is so under rated!

A pair of reg skates is like twice the price of all that
Those mitts though 😻❤️🔥
Dude those Tacklas are mint. Send them my way
Those gloves tho 🔥
I still wear my KoHo elbow pads and Danzi shin pads I wore in HS. Oh, and my old school cooper shoulder pads too.
Truly shows how cheap hockey equipment can get, mine all together costed nearly $1500
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Dude literally half of my hockey equipment is from play it again lol
That's cheap as hell.
When I played as a kid, my used chest protector was $250 on its own.
glad someones gonna put their gear to good use. ive been holding onto mine for 8 years now :( wore it a couple times but have not played a game yet.
The prices at this location are way better than the store in my town.
Nice lid...Let's go Canes!!!
Can you do a short finding the cheapest goalie pads available? Also goes without saying, but if you ever get used equipment, wash them thoroughly.
Love the whalers hat !!
Those pants are 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for making this for us cheepies
You should do cheapest goalie gear 😊😊

I was just at one of those stores checking out stuff for my son, definitely a great place to look.

Hahahahha i was looking at those Tackla pants but chose not to buy...small world!
Do most cheap and expensive goalie gear next
that’s the cost of my stick 😭😭😭
This may be the most Canadian looking person of all time 😂
The price at the end is how much a pair of one piece of equipment costs for me💀
Kyle’s play it again in Brampton is maybe the greatest shop on the planet.
Looks more like a pro hockey shop inside than a play it again. I'd be lucky to see one of those items in half as good condition at a play it again
I like the Hartford whalers hat he was wearing
This is why getting into hockey is not easy

id like to know what "good use" the equipment will get compared to someone who might only afford that set to play
Change that to goalie gear and the total is suddenly at $1k lol
Got the sickest pair of skis at play it agin sports in Utah for like $150-200. They were 500$ skis brand new. Great store.

This equipment where id live would be like a thousand dollars usd
Haven't wore shouldies in a decade lol
My new hockey gloves and Brezers cost more combine together than all that gear did
Here in Germany you get a 7 part set without skates only protection and bag from "warrior" for 200,-

Football equipment can be just as expensive as hockey gear too man playing any sport with gear involved is expensive
Royal york and Queensway.
Grew up playing handball… spent $1.25 only if no one had one. And $2 gallon of water….
