At the moment this is the most affordable synthetic ice available and most portable that I know of.

If I buy my kid something like this, he better go to the NHL and pay me back😂😂
Lmfao
Agree
Shane Picard lmao 🤣
Shane Picard if I got my kid these I would use them more than him
Gavin Hay not a bad idea haha
US$ 3,807
ooooook, scrap that idea
Really? Is that the cost? I wondered why they didnt mention the cost of the little synthetic rink in the video. Wow.
Yeah, I went to hockeyshot.com and added 294 tiles to my cart... should add 70 cents to the total because that was the exact amount lol
Still cheaper than maintaining your own ice, especially in the summer :D
Gerhard Symons I did, at 6:17.
Well, the guy says synthetic ice is different, but in reality, it's shit. It's cool and all, but for sustained practice it just gets boring, frustrating and exhausting.
Roller blades vs 4K dollars worth of tiles
Not the same my guy
BSA Sports it’s actually 6,174$
@@rezgamer6n234 I found a 10-pack of tiles for $160. If they used 291 tiles it'd be $4656.
Coby Bomberry he’s probably American
Ryan Bachman where did you find that? Can you send a link?
I was excited to get it
Until I saw the price
Austin Powell same
Austin Powell I
Austin Powell Rip same here

It’s not even expensive
Prob decent for goalie training in a small area .
Yes, goalies can use HS Synthetic Ice Revolution Tiles, but we recommend goalie pad sleeves for sliding back and forth in the net. www.hockeyshot.com/Leg-Pad-Sleeves-for-G1-Extreme-Slide-Board-p/slide-board-006.htm
I have my doubts. Goalies are notorious for the amount of ice they can chew through as their surface area is quite small compared to the rest of the ice. My guess is that the tiles would begin to show lots and lots of wear and tear after even a couple sessions with a decent amount of work put in. That's just my best guess though.
Apparently they will ruin your skates
dude keeps saying they go together like legos....no dude...more like a puzzle...
John Popovich 😂
Keep it at 100 likes (the comment)
Well LEGO would be a puzzle if they didn’t have instructions
KEN! He taught me how to skate backwards. Great to see him back!
Same here...
Thanks again My friends ,The game needs more people like you . I have taken mini mites and mites ( 5-8 years old) to the hockey Academy which they have synthetic Hockey rinks . This stuff works great for little kids it's not as slippery ,They can learn how to shoot a Puck ,Stick handle, toe drag ,Under the stick move. They will not lose balance so you can teach proper technique in all these and many more . This stuff builds great leg muscles also ,After one season most of the 8 year old had a hockey butt, Their moms asked me what I did to their kids why are their butts coming out of their lower backs. Lmbo, I told The moms that's called a Hockey butt, I pulled my jacket up and walked away, then they all started laughing .
Much love and respect , To all hockey families
Have you tried adjusting the hollow to get a faster glide? For example, going from a 1/2" to a 5/8" radius of hollow.
i would love to buy something like this but for that price tag... $4000+ CDN for 300 tiles.... id maybe pay 300ish for that but no way for 4k
timecrusade I
timecrusade bruh, it’s expensive because the technology is fucking cutting edge as shit! There’s no way you could get something like this for that price.
I would like something like that but it's to much money
Just use roller skates bro
You guys are talking about price, the size of playing area and for something that will never melt, you are actually complaining about price point? For someone thats gonna constantly play and practice, its very affordable. But then I'm use to price being a goalie and having easily 3Gs wrapped up in gear alone.
Saw similar ones many years ago. My younger son was training with Ken Strong. This surface which was harder to skate therefore, provided good training for the endurance and explosive speed.....cool to see similar stuff...
Do your skates are digging do they make marks in doesn’t make it not that smooth
big fan of the channel!
They do make marks and little shavings but it’s not like they cut through the plastic like real ice. Hope I was helpful
I have it and it’s fun to use but not cheap I got 50 tiles and it cost $1000
What? I don’t understand this comment it doesn’t sound worded right
For anyone wondering about the cost of this setup, it would be about $5400 + tax (prices are different for Canada and USA) Let me know if you have any questions about the tiles! Thanks to HockeyShot for sponsoring the video. You can buy the tiles here bit.ly/3nQwsqD
Coach Jeremy hello
1. How well does the puck slide?
2. Do you have to replace the tiles? If so, how often?
Coach Jeremy yo u r awesome u sometimes tabght me on hockey tricks
Coach Jeremy how much does it cost
I'd be really curious to see how well a goalie could practice on those tiles.
Things like pushing off from the posts to get into position, and butterfly sliding, etc.
Any way you could test that?
I'd be willing to be a test pilot lol.
Just buy a pair of god damn Roller blades for a fraction of the price😂
Good luck improving your hockey stops in those.
Aaron White That's true but it can be done. If you can hockey stop on rollerblades. No reason you can't do it on ice. It depends on how much you can spend in the end.
Braden Gilson true
Braden Gilson exactly
@@aaronwhite1786 C'mon, any decently skilled roller guy can do hockey stops.
Love the channel. Old vid but it’s awesome. Keep up the hockey grind and keep getting them beauts
Great review Jeremy, informative and entertaining.
Cool. Training tool for U12. The big difference to me between this and roller is the movement of the puck. Any summer off ice training that imitates the movements of skating is valuable. Wish this was around for my Mini Mites Clinics! Anyone remember GLICE ?
These would be really good for a workout. Put padding between the tile and the mounted surface and boom! instant resistance applied to skating stride. Wonder how long they last.
See for someone like me this would be great. I live in Texas, about 35-40 miles from Dallas and the nearest hockey rink, but this stuff is so expensive instead I ended up laying a concrete slab and have been playing on roller blades for practice getting to the rink when I'm in town
Not cool enough to justify that kind of money.
For what they are skating on it's $5,700. Also, the wear and tear on these must be really high. Watch every time they turn and stop. I would be scared to even use skates on that crap.
Jeremy I love hockey I’m starting
Did you have any issues with catching an edge where the tiles connect to each other or the tiles shifting a tiny bit so that some ended up higher than others? That was a problem our club had when we tried out synthetic ice two years ago here in Germany. I think synthetic ice is a great training tool in the summer, and this looks affordable, but those problems kind of scared me off.
These would be a great investment for a community who doesn't get snow or hockey weather. Make a year round community outdoor synthetic ice rink to at least have. I know it's not as great as regular ice but if you had a Sharpener on site and extras to replace them as they go out, could be worth looking into. Just an idea. Great video!
The line: "I just dislike you so much right now!" is so polite! That was so canadian. I know that this channels doesn't use expletives. But then to use the word "dislike" instead of hate in a semi ironic way is just on another level!
*$5000. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOooooooooLLLLLLLLLLolOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL. Way too expensive. If this is better for kids, that's even more ridiculous convincing any parent to spend that kind of money for a child. Great idea but way over priced. It's a shame, cause if this was more reasonably priced, it could make a huge impact to the world of hockey and for kids who don't have the opportunity to always go out on the ice to play and practice.*
AzNightmare you’re right. It would make hockey a lot more popular than it is today. Especially for kids that live in the southern region of the states
*Yeah, I'm all for expanding hockey to the rest of the world. But at this price, it's like straight up robbery.*
AzNightmare everything in hockey is expensive af ice time, gear, and leagues, it's all taxed.
*Ya, that's why soccer is one of the biggest sports across globally.*
AzNightmare pretty much, kids throw a little cardboard in there socks and they got shin pads and there covered for gear.
Im going skating for the first time in over a year. I took a break from hockey. Wish me luck.
Eric Merryman good luck
So what happend
ONLY STOP WHEN YER LEGS TELL YA TO! Play as long as you can brother. Youre only this age once. Just Play.
Good luck hope you do awesome
no
Yo man, really like your videos. And your videos makes me more interested in hockey. So I was wondering maybe if you could make a video on what to think about when you are buying your gear/equipment. Cause I have no Idea of what I should buy, and whats best. Cheers from Sweden.
best hockey channel keep up the good work
At that price - I was hoping for a bit more out of these.. Based on the sticking issues and the price I feel like I'd rather just chuck on the inline skates instead. The non-skateable kind def are a must for stickhandling and shooting drills tho
doesnt the skates cut up the product from skating on it like how ice gets chipped during hockey and ice skating?
These r also very good for practicing sliding and going into butterfly for goalies
I love the scalable tiles there awesome
Jeremy: "'WE' just stepped on them!"
Me: "I thought you went to get water..."
Jeremy: "Uhh..." *runs*
whatever happened to roller blades
true
Veji Rollerblades are slightly different than ice skates, especially with stopping techniques. As is a puck moving over concrete moves different to ice. I guess if ya got the money this is about as close to real ice as you get.
Fuck roller skating it's all about ice skating now 2018
Veji knee straps
Love the vids

just before my game it's perfect
Glad to see ken back
I’m determined to make a rink this winter
did you?
I’m glad and I bumped into this video now I know what floor tiles to get to roller skate
Did you get these for roller skating? If so, how’d they work out for you?
I live in Arizona so this would be very useful, I always wanted a synthetic rink but it’s just too damn expensive for not enough ice. I got a big drive way so I’ll just stick to roller hockey.
the video doesn't show the surface damage after skate on it, mind let me know how it hold up over time?
@Seth macgilly no, i have the tiles, used them for about a year, they are still in good condition
What a bout aplaying som fluid for less grip, oil silecon wather?
how about wax?
Extra virgin olive oil
I start active skating one year ago. I made big progress. One year ago i dont know skate as professional. And today i skate as hockey player. And i am jist grow from my skates and mom dont buy me another new. Skating is sport what i love. Start with skating guys. Its so relaxing
Nice vid going to get thes mats
Very cool!
MicBergsma yes
Can you cover it in water during the winter to put a layer of ice on there?
Well I live in Florida...so I couldn’t. Lol...
Probably
Great Video Jeremy
I was excited to get it
I got my gold medal game in about three hours can't wait!
The Steak Army good luck!!
Did you win ?:))
The Steak Army did you win
Thanks for the support! I ended up winning in OT 2-1
The Steak Army. Noice!
Your skate blades every time you take a stride: 😫
Jeremy do you reccomened a warrior covert
Do the blades scar the plastic?
Is there a Zamboni tool that fills in the scratches so the plastic will be “cleaned” or be made “like new” after a diligent practice? So your blades won’t slip into the same old grooves or worse cause the blades to go one way and you the other...
Can't hit the brakes the same way you could on the ice, for that reason I'm out
snipewa4 omg your right, I just thought about that, hockey stops would be so weird on that stuff
you both are wrong, i have it and it stops perfect
Vlasta Rek no it does not so shut your big ass mouth fuck face

How many tiles are in 1 box?? And what cost for a box?
XXPIZZANINJAXX 2 Unfortunately they’re probably stupid expensive.
They sell them by the tiles individually starting at $13.55
All Tiles are sold individually!
XXPIZZANINJAXX 2 20 in a box
16 $250 (with shipping)
I have it and it’s so fun I love using it
I brought the new hockey shot backstop combo coach Jeremy does that come with the shooting pad
“He has the moves like Jagr”
Jagr is a hockey player.
$5400 plus tax for this set up for anyone who is wondering.
It would be really nice to see this demonstrated on different hollows. The first comment from people skating on synthetic ice is always about it digging in too much, so why not try and skate on a 1" radius vs the traditional 1/2" or 5/8"?
Wait, after using the tiles do they like become scratched up like ice or do they stay the same as when you bought them ?
I was like OMG I need this
But then I say the price
They say money can’t buy happiness, after watching this video, I’m not so sure about that 😂
thank you
Nice job best videos ever
How much tiles does comes in 1 package????
1 per 1 pacakage
Tiles are sold individually with no minimum order

Goood morning 😫😴
wow im early nice vid your a really good skater!
I wish they had this when I was a kid. So cool.
How is it for goalie practice? works with going post to post?
I have a 100 of these and its incredibly slow
And they dull ur skates so fast. So unless u got a sparx i wouldnt purchase
Thanks for adding your experience. They certainly looked slow on the video too. Have you thought about using a silicone spray to improve glide? I know some of the early "skateable" plastics added a spray coating to the tiles periodically to improve glide, so I wonder if that would help?
Would be interested in hearing your feedback if you do try it!
If I had to guess, I would think that spraying on the tiles themselves probably wouldn't do a lot for the skates. I think it's just slow because no matter what you do, a hard plastic just won't have the same glide as metal blades on ice. That said, I'm sure the increased resistance helps with working your muscles while you skate, and teaching you to push harder.
Well, a small amount of lubrication can stop a car engine (metal on metal) destroying itself through friction, so my guess is that lubrication would help, even if it doesn't get you all the way to the feel of ice.
If you're already in for $1,500+ like +Nathan is, then another $25 for a bottle of silicone spray is probably worth a shot.
Aaron White yeah I think that it’s 100 percent not meant for playing games on but training. I’m interested in buying them because Then I can shoot with my stakes on, then it wouldn’t dull your blades as much
I live in Canada no need for that I just have a rink in my back yard
Das crazy but who asked
I noticed a lot of build up on the blades from the tiles... How long will those tiles last, if that's the case?
We have those other tiles for outside use and they did not last long in the Texas heat. They curled up on the ends and made for difficult stick handling drills. The bottoms of these look the same and therefore would not trust them to last here in the Texas Heat.
I keep wondering what it feels like to stop on this
Did it ruin the skates?
Domster13 Gaming and other cook stuff Watch the video
The Miikzor I did but still maybe it ruins your skates I wanna know
Ruin the skates, or dull the blades? Are you asking if it is actually bad for the skates, or if it just dulls the blades faster than normal ice?
Domster13 Gaming and other cook stuff It's not gonna ruin your skates, it'll make them dull tho. Your blades would probably take more abuse from a pond.
Nope! They will not damage your blades at all.The 10% friction difference means you will need to sharpen more often than skating on real ice. We also recommend using a lesser pair of skates for the Tiles & saving your best skates for on the ice.
Nice video men!!! Hockey is Life
It looks so cool
I would tile my whole house with them
Lol I would tile my bedroom with them
Hey google, navigation to Coach Jeremys house.
Google: *OK..... Navigating to the middle of nowhere.*
How long do they last
Send some to Pittsburgh for me to try I love hockey and been playing since I was 11 and I need to skate all year round
Just purchased 110 of these tiles for my garage
welp.........there goes about 1,5k$
Heath Fellows are they good?
Doge Nation so far I love them, little slow but you get used to it and learn to skate on the tiles. I’m 108 pounds and it still definitely dulls your skates after 2 hours or 1 hour but all it takes is going down to the rink and sharping them. What it’s like to skate on the tiles is a little slow in some skating movements but then also some other skating movements feels just like ice
Heath Fellows You mean your parents bought them lol. I'm just being a smartass. It's cool you're able to practice ice hockey in your garage.
what would would happen if you put water on it?
They are UV Protected and Weather Resistant. Water will not hurt them.
HockeyShot.com I meant to ask to would adding water on it make the skates slide smoother?
The Tiles feature a self-lubricating agent with no need for wax or add-on liquids, and have the best coefficient levels of friction on the market (10-15% greater than real ice)
you didn't answer his question. That was a dumb PR answer.
hold that thought because the puck is going to glue itself down if you use water... just like ice.
would these be good for goalie training
What watch is he wearing?
Does anyone know a fitness tracker for hockey?
Who else lives in Canada.
Should have sprayed the surface with water.
I remember GLICE. Thats what it was, water on plastic sheets. Id say for U12 kids who dont weigh a lot this is a great training aid. Ice time is the best training aid.
Wife is going to love it when she sees our appartment floor is a hockey rink. Thanks bud!
Looks a bit easier to skate on the the synthetic ice I skated on as a kid in our power skating camp. Had to get your blades sharpened after each time skating on it but it was like skating with weights on your legs and helped get a better shot because of the resistance.
This was sooo cringy at the beginning
Mission accomplished 😎
2000 kilometers, eh? that's like, what, 45 miles?
poodull76 Nope that’s 1242 miles
Yep that's right lol
himoong no, its 1243 miles
Would if it rains
Are there bumps on it like if you did not put the tile fully in
Foes it have to be setup on a blacktop and since is older guys skate on it how long will the ice last b4 needing replaced
I'm a ice hockey goalie and I just got a ice rink and some of my teammates live down the road and 2 of them are my neighbors and I'm 9 years old I also do parkour. And I am on the flames ice team I love goalie my teammates that live around me are going to come to my house and shoot on me I'm in U12 my teammates are really good well some are but it's so much fun like I mentioned I got a real ice rink with real ice
You should try different hollow on your skates see if there is an advantage to going to a 1 inch hollow= less drag
Coach Jeremy, is there any way I can get a discount on the regular of ice tiles? And you vids are awesome keep up the good work. By far one of the best hockey channels
Hi Evan, HockeyShot offers coupon codes and sales. That's the only way to get discounts.
"Oh,I was just foraging"😂
