    Where i live , picking are slim , i have to travel 60 miles to 150 miles to hobby shop to get different variety . I have a lot of unbuilt models that are 20 to 40 years old lol . I’m keeping them for retirement , witch is coming soon . But i wish i had the 3 ford trucks that you have there , with all the spare parts i have , i could be in heaven building them lol. Well done , look’s great ❤

    It looks great, excellent paint and assembly job!
    For those Ford letters on the front of the hood try using a new pencil eraser to transfer the paint.
    I just put a small amount of paint on the eraser and carefully "stamp" it onto the letters, renewing the paint as needed. You can also shape (cut) the eraser to fit the letters better if you wish. That helps prevent over-stamping to the letters' sides, top & bottom.

    Great video! I like how you show all of the difficulties that might be encountered during assembly. I also like how you don't edit out the parts where you drop parts/ chase them across the table. Most of us do this all the time. I also like the fix for the sharpie line on the trim.
    Beautiful build. Love the farm truck idea,

      Thank you!! And also thank you for sticking with me. I’ve had a pretty rough several months. That why my videos have dropped off so much. It was getting too stressful to make good quality content. I don’t like making a video just to do one. It had to be good and enjoyable. You viewers deserve the best. I’m going to try and get on a more consistent schedule. Again thank you for your support.

    Very nice work kit looks straight forward and your paint and detailing really make it pop. Its too bad the companies dont provide figures . I have searched the internet but cant find a supplier. Mainly military figures when a search is done. ✌Canada✌

    That turned out awesome. You make it look easy. I like all your supplies in the bed. Very realistic looking. Really glad to see you back. I have that kit and you probably saved me a winshield whenever I build it. Thanks!

    I have 4 Moebius bumpside pickup kits: 2 '71 longbed Ranger XLT's, a '68 F100 shortbed, and the '69 F250 kit you showed here. My plan is to build the '69 F250 I used to have, and the '68 F100 longbed which was converted into a homemade trailer. You would be correct in that the 390 (and 360 and 352, which all used the same block, just different combinations of bore and stroke) did not use the C4 transmission. The 360 would have actually been a better engine for the F250, as it made it's peak torque down lower in it's powerband. The 390 was more of a race horse, the 360 was more of a draft horse. For heavy work, like the F250 would do, the 360 was the way to go. Externally, all 3 engines were the same though.

    Oh yeah! I’m so into the Moebius service trucks. I have two kinds and many various brands of different pickup trucks. I also have a handful of resin/3D printed pickup bodies. Three flat bed/fifth wheel type bodies like I saw during my time staying in Texas and a cool Emergency Squad 51 box for when I get an appropriate kit to put it on.

    Louie! I'm so very glad you're back!!! And what a great model to start with! I always enjoyed your step by step build ups in your videos. You did a beautiful job on this build, always in the details! I'm wanting to get these Ford trucks, the snow plow and your F 250 right here. Thank you again for showing this video!

      Thank you!!! I’m trying to get back in my groove. It was stressful for a bit, because I want to put out the best content for my viewers. Not just rush thru them and have a poor result. I do appreciate you taking the time to post the kind words.

    That trans is an FMX. Separate bellhousing from the trans housing similar to C4, but beefier. C6 is 1 piece trans and bellhousing. I have a 61 F100 longbed Integral Cab that I bought in 76. A couple years later when the original 292 Y Block needed a rebuild and I couldn't find parts, I swapped it and the 3 on the tree for a 68 390 with a C6. I still have it, but in 89 replaced the 390 with a 428 Cobra Jet that's still in it. When I was swapping the trans, lots of folks were trying to sell me an FMX. It's an OK trans. But the C6 is better. A fine C6 can be found in the AMT 66/67 Fairlane and Comet kits.

    Great job on the build! I’m building this kit myself right now. On my kit, the motor mounts that you attached to the frame actually don’t attached to the engine at all. There’s a pinhole on the oil pan that attaches to the front crossmember, which prevents the engine from sitting down onto the motor mounts at all. Are the mounts just there for looks, or am I doing something wrong?

    • @TheAutisticModeler
      @TheAutisticModeler  Před 8 měsíci +1

      I just got mine down to look at it again. Yes, apparently just for show. The engine glues to the cross member. Thank you for watching!! Happy Modeling

    Funny people don't like to use the pens, and the sharpie markers are alot cheaper than the silver and metallic silver sharpie for writing on burnt dvd and audio CDs, and the testors silver paint marking pen those are not cheap either...
