The Ford F-Series is a series of trucks marketed and manufactured by Ford. In production since 1948, the F-Series is a range of light trucks marketed as full-size pickup trucks, slotted above the compact Ford Ranger in the Ford truck model range. Since 1999, the F-Series also includes the heavier-duty Super Duty series, which includes pickup trucks, chassis cab trucks, and medium-duty trucks. As of current production, the Ford F-Series includes the F-150 pickup, F-250 through F-450 Super Duty pickups, F-450/550 Super Duty chassis cabs, and F-650/750 Super Duty Class 6-8 trucks. The most popular version of the F-Series is the F-150, now in its fourteenth generation.
The best-selling pickup truck in the United States since 1977 (the highest-selling vehicle overall since 1981);[1][2] the F-Series is also the best-selling vehicle in Canada.[3] As of the 2018 model year, the F-Series generated $41 billion in annual revenue for Ford.[4] At various times, Ford has marketed the F-Series across all three of its divisions in North America. From 1948 to 1968, Mercury marketed the F-Series as the M-Series (in Canada); during the 2000s, Lincoln sold the F-150 as the Blackwood and the later Mark LT. The F-series platform has underpinned several sport utility vehicles, including the Ford Bronco, Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator.
As of current production, the Ford F-Series is manufactured by Ford in four facilities in the United States.
Introduced in 1967, the fifth generation F-series pickup was built on the same platform as the 1965 revision of the fourth generation. Dimensions and greenhouse glass were increased, engine options expanded, and plusher trim levels became available during the fifth generation's production run.
Suspension components from all 1969 F-Series models are completely interchangeable.
A scale model is most generally a physical representation of an object that maintains accurate relationships between all important aspects of the model, although absolute values of the original properties need not be preserved. This enables it to demonstrate some behavior or property of the original object without examining the original object itself. The most familiar scale models represent the physical appearance of an object in miniature, but there are many other kinds.
Scale models are used in many fields including engineering, architecture, film making, military command, salesmanship, and hobby model building. While each field may use a scale model for a different purpose, all scale models are based on the same principles and must meet the same general requirements to be functional. The detail requirements vary depending on the needs of the modeler.
To be a true scale model, all relevant aspects must be accurately modeled, such as material properties, so the model's interaction with the outside world is reliably related to the original object's interaction with the real world.
Ford introduced a dramatically new style of pickup in 1961 with the fourth generation F-Series. Longer and lower than its predecessors, these trucks had increased dimensions and new engine and gearbox choices. Additionally, the 1961-1963 models offered an optional unibody design with the cab and bed integrated. The traditional separate cab/bed was offered concurrently. The unibody proved unpopular, and Ford discontinued the option after the 1963 model year.
In 1965, the F-Series was given a significant mid-cycle redesign. A completely new platform, including the "Twin I-Beam" front suspension, was introduced that would be used until 1996 on the F-150 and until 2016 on the F-250/350 4x2. Additionally that year, the Ranger name made its first appearance on a Ford pickup; previously a base model of the Edsel, it was now used to denote a high-level styling package for F-Series pickups - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I appreciate your enthusiasm for modeling. This hobby needs more of you. Thank you!
Wow, thank you!
Another super weathering model. Thanks.
Many thanks!
Like the rustic weather look great work truck
That baby looks excellent
Thanks for watching!
you sir, are the Bob Ross of weathering
Thanks a million, what a compliment!
I’ve only seen a few channels your definitely my favorite channel to watch when it comes to modeling. I honestly get excited when I see a new video you do awesome builds and it’s very inspiring
Wow, thank you!
Same page here bro👌
@@hpiguy Hey Chris have you built the 66 ford truck yet it's a sweet kit too!
These kits are the best I built up a f250 with the f100 service bed.
Hello, Very nice. While I was watching I started thinking of what to do with kit bashing. I thought of mixing some of these kits. Perhaps the 6 cylinder or the 302 in this kit and 4 wheel drive from another one of their kits. The possibilities are almost endless. Great job. Looks like that service body will fit on any of their 8 foot bed pickup kits. Very happy you picked this kit to do. A must have kit. You sure know your stuff.
Go for it!
6 Cylinder from what kit?
Nice to know I'm not the only one using Sharpies on model kits lol the six color metallic pack is awesome for some of the detailing.
Yes they are!
I've also found that if you use the metallic silver first as sort of a base coat and let it dry good then you can use regular color Sharpies for some detail work as well. In some cases I think they're just easier to use than paint.
Awesome kit and video thanks
Thanks for watching!
Awesome looking build.
Thanks!
26:16 a silver sharpie never gos on smooth like that for me.. beautiful weathering job!!
I love the thought you put into these weathered builds. Way to tell a story with the weathering. Also love the lighter color drybrush technique. Gonna have to try that. Nice video!
Thank you so much!
Got one myself great kit
Great looking build .
Thanks 👍
So sad Chris is no longer with us... 😥RIP Chris! You were a inspiration to us all buddy...
Nice build... Going to have to get me one of these to build...
LLAP 🖖
Excellent video! Super tips. Dave
Thank you!
I will definitely try out your weathering technique! Nice build.
Nice job! I will have to try the craft paint trick!!
You should!
You're the man when it comes non model railroading. I've learned tricks from you that I can use in model railroading. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and craftsmanship with us here.
Glad to help!
i"m just getting in to models and thanks for the painting tips great help
Excellent review. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Amazing weathering, great build Chris
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the build... hadn't tried weathering yet but I picked up some paint the other day.
You should! Have fun with it!
Whooo Mobius showing some Indiana love with those license plate decals! I always end up making my own, because state license plates for Indiana in kits are a dime a dozen... If anybody see it and asks, just tell em 'your county bought it surplus from Indiana like a week ago, and they're still waiting on Wisconsin plates' :)
Wow-Ive never built a Mobius kit-they look fantastic!
Cant wait to try one!
You should!
Really sharp looking build. 😊👍👍
Thanks 👍
Great build! I love the Moebius line of F100s. My father had a 67 long box. I ended up buying a couple kits to recreate his and had to recreate the 67 grill. Man if I only knew a few months later I could of got a kit with the proper grill. Well he got a great Father’s Day gift. He said it’s his favorite model I’ve done yet. I’m looking to make a gasser out of the extra parts from the two kits soon.
Another fanatastic build....I learn a lot from your videos....thank you.
Sounds great!
Thanks for watching!
very nice kit
HI Chris this is the one I have been waiting for.You did this one exactly the way it should look for that time era.
Glad you like it!
Just started this kit last night. So far so good.
Enjoy!
Super job on the entire build, it looks great. Every time I see these fords with service beds it reminds me of the tv show Chips, Dirty Harry, and of course Close Encounters movie. Thank you for sharing and everyone stay safe and healthy. Remember to smile and have fun.
You bet! Thanks Teddy, as always!
For sure Keep em coming
This build gave me the idea about getting my own and using the Fireball Modelworks F250 Hiboy 4x4 conversion on it and build it like I’m going to build my other Moebius Ford truck. Thank You.
Have fun!
Thank You. Will Do. Maybe I should post videos of my completed builds or my progress builds.
Awesome build! When I do these base model or fleet trucks I often paint the grille and bumpers white. I love doing these weathered build too.
I stayed with chrome on this one and rotted it out, on the previous issue I did all white trim and left it as a new truck. :)
What a great tutorial and model! Thanks for sharing this as I learned a lot from it.
Glad it was helpful!
This is one of my favorite kits - all the versions. Thanks for building another one to enjoy.
Glad you like them!
Great highway truck - you do a great job of making it look like it has put in a lot of years of service.
Thanks 👍
Ah good ol' Wisconsin rust! Working with and trying to fix it over the years, has definitely broaden my vocabulary! Nice build Chris!
Thanks 👍
I can tell you love weathering the models it makes each one different thanks for another great job.
Weathering is more fun then building them clean!
Glad you like them!
Another great build Chris, you are the king of weathering 👍👍
Wow, thanks!
BEAUTIFUL
Thank you! Cheers!
that looks like a typical old ford. nice job chris!
Thanks 👍
Genius. Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome!
Nice kit. You did a fine job on it sir.
Thank you kindly!
Great review and build. Fantastic job on weathering and aging the truck.
Thank you very much!
Great work. Thank you for the lesson.
Glad you like it!
I just finished building this kit and it's awesome. First time purchasing a Moebius kit and found it to be excellent quality. I am currently building the 1966 F-100 pickup by Moebius. Am painting them both in identical colors and using some after market decals to make them look like an oil field services fleet.
Nice build, I love what you said, build it the way you want too..thanks again for a awesome way of showing us how to weather....
I like how you have a back story when you weather and wear your models. Just like I do on my builds. I have a heavy wrecker I built that has a mismatched hood and mismatched seats and I was showing it to my coworkers one day and they asked about the mismatched seats so I had to tell them. Model railroaders are the same way.
Thanks!
Thanks for say , build for you not for other 👍
No problem 👍
Thank you, sir. This video has been a driving force behind, and a guiding light in my renewed interest in the hobby.
Thanks, glad you found the FUN again!
I love watching these builds. This kit would make killer brush fire truck.
It would Matthew.
Thanks for watching!
the colors chart is very usefull.... used not abused .......great finished..........
Thanks for watching!

Awesome, thank you!
This reminds me of my service truck I had. Thanks for bringing back some memories
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is great. And it reminded me that I've always wanted to do a replica of Roy Neary's work truck from Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Great build Chris. Love the well used look. Reminds me of a couple service vehicles I’ve driven
Thanks for sharing, Cary
Thanks for watching!
Rusty lady. Pretty neat.

Very cool.
Thanks!
Absolutely love this very well done ! I'd be so happy with that.
Thanks Gary!
LOVE the way you funkified the chassis !!! 👌🏽
Glad you liked it!!
You're the Bob Ross of modeling!
Wow, thanks!
Compared with Japanese kits and American kits, both of the details are nothing changes, but American kits doesn't look difficult to assemble together. you seems to built very easy compared to the wonderful elaborate finished model. I like the orange color of car. You also have a good chosen an American truck model well. I've never tried weathering, so I want to challenge indeed while i watched this video. thank you
Never built one of these kits. I see I am going to have to get one. Thank you for showing me how to. I appreciate it the build looks great
Glad to help!
Great review/build. I have built a couple mobius kits...they super nice!
Yes they are!
Chris, your various how-to demonstrations have remarkable intrinsic value.
Aside from the educational aspect of them, I could not figure out what I found so compelling about them. I went through several others on your channel, anf as I watched each in turn, I pondered the matter.
It just came to me: they are so enjoyable they also serve as entertainment, in the sense of watching a masterful magician performing the cleverest prestidigitation! So, thank you twice!
I once had a 1:25th-scale kit of a Dodge van ambulance. Burt Reynolds, Farah Fawcett, Dom De Louise, et al, rode in one in Cannonball Run (1981, 20th Century Fox, Hal Needham).
Chris, I would like to see if you could centre one of your video tutorials on this kit, please. I personally would build it as a conventional ambulance with no connexion to the comedy. I perhaps would set it in a diorama of a vehicular collision. (I later would incorporate models of a tow truck, a few police cars, a couple sedans in the crash, assorted Preisser figurines, building backdrops, etc.)
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for making this video!
My pleasure!
Unbelievably cooool!
Thanks man!
Always enjoy your videos learn a lot about the vehicle and enjoy watching the build and weathering
Awesome, thank you!
Man you got skills my man. I am so happy to be in this generation because of your skills. Keep the shiny side up and the dirty side down. Love your vids.
I appreciate that!
I'd have done a few things differently but that's the great part of modeling, as you touched on at the end. Build it for YOU!
I think I'm going to put my service box on a '90s Chevy cab/chassis when it arrives.
Enjoy!
You have converted me on the enamel hand paints. I used to use acrylic only, but now I use the metallics and they really make my models pop!
Thanks for watching!
Another excellent build Chris, as a civil servant myself, yeah, safety wise and mechanically, all vehicles must meet criteria. Love the weathering affect. I think adding a CB radio would be a cool thing too, as many areas are rural and the service mechanic would need some type of communication with his HQ office.
Very nice indeed 👌
Right on!
Very cool buddy! Real nice as always! 👍👍🤘✌🏻, that’s what I like to do, rusty and crusty!
You and me both!
hpiguys Workshop - Right on buddy, right on!

Thanks, will do!
Chris, you have such a unique and realistic style of realistic model building and weathering! You have inspired many of us. I'm a new subscriber and really impressed with what you do- and without an airbrush, too! Keep up the great work and Thank you!!
Chris, I am buying a smart TV just so I can watch your video's on TV not just on my PC in my office! Your video's are more entertaining then ANY thing else being broadcast!
Glad you like them!
Especially love this one, as I work for the city of Winter Park, Fl (Orlando) and drive a 1996 F-250 service truck. Think I'm going to buy this and build it in white, to match my work truck. Really dig the jazz music at the beginning. You seem like such a fun guy, would be nice to toss back a couple brews some time.
Thanks Jake!
Great videos, always watch your stuff when I get a notification. You say people always like to nit pick mistakes!! I bet they just watch your review first because if they didnt they would muck up their own build 😅🤣😂. All the best, keep these vids coming, I watch them to see what kits are good for detail and moulding and to pick up some techniques from yourself. I use cans a lot but found the airbrush with tamiya paints to be good for interiors etc.
Airbrushes are great, whatever gets the job done! :)
Hey Chris great job looks cool and by the way we wouldn't poke at you about your mistakes if we didn't like ya have a good one and stay safe really enjoy all the videos you post thank you
Thanks, you too!
Awesome very realistic ! Congratulations ! Regards...Henrique from Brazil 😊👍
Thank you very much!
Nice. Thanks.
Thanks!
