Would love part 2! You made me cry when you got emotional. My first tattoo was for my mom, I wanted 'you are enough' for years, but something was missing. During a conversation with my mom she told me I am enough and she was so proud. Which made me realise I needed the tattoo in her handwriting. I got the tattoo, she hated tattoo's, but cried when she saw it because she loved the idea. 2 months later she passed away and I'm so happy she saw that tattoo â€đ

Yes!! I've been wanting to get my first tatt for over a year now (I told myself I would wait it out so I'm sure i want it - rather than it being an impulse decision) and I absolutely LOVE your tattoos because they're so delicate and small and meaningful - just how I like them. Love this! It is refreshing hearing your thought process behind your tattoos as I think in a similar way. I am actually in the process of getting two tattoos removed that do not serve me anymore and I am so excited about it. Excited to have them be gone but will get new tattoos over them after the process so I can get the tattoos I am dreaming of in those spots instead. Thank you for sharing this!

I also have planned my tattoos for around a year, love them all. Maybe my favorite is the one on my foot, a mantra in Sanskrit: "lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu" That is a mantra that guides my steps in life, so that is why I chose my foot.
It means : May all the beings everywhere be happy and free, and may my thoughts, words and actions contribute to that for them all.

My dad also went through an extreme health decay a little over a year ago and is in a care home currently. I miss him and this year has been so hard. Thank you for sharing

It really got to me when you talked about the way we are within the moment and with the lessons and acknowledge we have at that time. If I look back I would've wanted to be different, but at the same time I didn't know then what I know now. That's the beauty of being able to move on and put away that past moment or version of yourself. If I knew everything from the beginning, there would be no place for growing. We are here to learn and grow and be present.

I'm also a control freak and recently I felt exactly what you described. I felt like my world was spiralling and I couldn't find my way and when you mentioned surrender, it hit me hard. Thank you for sharing so much about your tattoos đThey're such a personal thing sometimes that going into them all can be deep, but I love that you've shared more! Also thank you for touching on instant regret, long term regret/not being completely happy with one. I have been removing one I got during a rough point that just stares me in the face (it's on my forearm wrapping around to the back of my arm and I get asked about it all the time since it's so visible. I've been going through the process of removing it for 2 years this February (it's a HUGE commitment) and it looks so crazy/splotchy, but it sucks being asked so much since the reason I'm removing it is so personal. But anyways, my point....lol, I probably wouldn't remove it if I didn't have to look at it all the time since it is so so so expensive, but I do think if it's something that bothers you that much go for it! Weirdly, me and my laser tech have become very close since I spend 45-60 minutes with her every 6-12 weeks...she calls it my added free therapy sessions and I'm kind of going to miss them once it's totally gone đ

I know tattoos are always very personal so it isn't my place to judge them, but I wanted to say I really like they have all a meaning, I love all the meanings and I think they suit you a lot... It's like they were meant to be there and you just gave them their rightful place. There is a saying by I think Leonardo da Vinci, he basically said that he didn't make the statue, but he only helped the statue reach the light because it was there all along, like "caged in the marble". That is what I think about your tattoos, they are all so perfect!

Someone used to advise me on getting a tattoo: make the tattoo you want a post and hang it on your wall you always view at, if you still love the way it was after 2 years, thatâs the tattoo for you. I found it helpful.
